The look on paulies face when he realizes Johnny sack played him is priceless
Stunad of the first
Reminds me of that donkey in the mirror effect in Tom and Jerry whenever somebody gets fooled lmao
@@flochforster22Hee Haw!!!
Complete Stunad
Good lmaooo
It’s amazing how star struck Carmine Sr when he seen Paulie, Carmine was loss for words because he thought the world of him
ahahaha
He finally got to meet the man whose father was run over by a trolly.
Hey!! He asks about him
Nobody knows what the future holds my friend......except Quasimodo he predicted all this.
That's funny he said that because Sil basically ended up dead.
@@jrob4795 he was in a coma
@@Nemy360 which they mentioned he will not be waking up from...eventually they will pull him off the machines.
Who did what?
@@elbowpastatime sharp as a fuckin cue ball
Paulie lost his heart because he has taken too much betrayal. The Vito incident was the last straw, I hear he felt like he had been stabbed in the heart
do you believe that, take too much betrayal and next minute you feel like you've been stabbed in the heart
The betrayal and heartbreak started when his father was run over by a trolley. Damn shame.
Wearing the chaps, dancing with the guy in the gay bar. That was the final straw for Paulie. Vito was dead to him from that point.
Aids ?
@@unholybastard8688 nobody's got aids, I don't wanna hear that word here again
Sil was a good damned friend. Had he not said anything, Paulie wouldn’t have been ready for the question on the boat trip.
Damn, that's true. Tony was dangerously close to whacking Paulie.
@@ab497 we could all use a friend like Sil. I've always admired his role in the show and in the family. He's always steps ahead of all the other guys and not afraid to call people on their mess, even Tony. He told Tony about himself and how he's perceived a few times. He told him the truth about the Tony B situation, he tried teaching him a lesson when Tony decided to put Christopher in charge of things, the whole thing with Ralphie, and this.
@Werewolf O. London, Esq. Right! The way the they dealt with Feech in the end was beautiful.
I wonder what Sil's deal was with getting Patsy to gas Chrissy up to loot the job site though. Sew a little dissent?
@@forcemajeur.5138 I ask the same question every time I watch this episode. Sometimes, I think it was a way of showing Tony the guys didn’t respect Chris and wouldn’t continue to respect him (Tony) if he made Chrissy his successor. If they had respect for Chris, there would have been some hesitation in going to complete that job. Tony told them all orders would be coming directly from Chris. Other times I think, Sil may have been pissy because Tony didn’t consider him as his successor and wanted to sir up the pot. The fact the show makes us question moments like this is a testament to how great it and the cast were.
Gotta hand it to Johnny Sack - he read Paulie and played him like a fiddle.
And Paulie fell for it, hook, line, and sinker.
Very allegorical
"Simon Gruber ova hea!"
Though arguably, it backfired. Since Johnny Sack would have been much better off never hearing about the joke.
Sinka
Johnny never asked to be skinny for him
Johnny talked to you about me, right?
Johnny who, Cakes? Talked to me about what?
About the Vito's note from his doctor.
I hear they're addictive...
I find it hard to believe that Carmine Lupertazzi hadn't met Paulie before this point. Paulie was like number 3 or 4 at the Sopranos family
@@rubamann Family? They're a glorified crew!

My favorite is when Paulie is calling Artie over for the menus at Vesuvio.
More like "Dooooooooooohhhhh!"

I don't know what disappointed Paulie more: learning that Carmine didn't know who he was or that Italy didn't have indoor plumbing yet.
I hear he felt like he was "stabbed in da haht"
I'm gonna hover back to the excelsior 🤣
It was probably Vito being gay, it broke his heart into pieces. Poor guy 😢
You gotta a lotta balls my friend, hehe
“Fuck that fucking parakeet!”
“There’s people stuffing themselves!”
“There’s people out there stuffing themselves!”
Pound for pound the “ your father was run over by a trolly” line might be the funniest in the series
So it’s the Sugar Ray Robinson of the show’s one liners.

Thumbs up for just mentioning Sugar Ray’s name. Big inspiration for me
Don’t eat the pepper! / the mayor of munchkinland

So much of this show was schoolgirl bickering lol
That's the beauty of this show, it reveals how childish and petty these so called "honorable" criminals really are.
Tell that to all the real gangsters in the comments section, bemoaning about feminized college SJWs and the like, unironically yearning for Gary Cooper's gabagool.
@@ChuckieManioItsReallyMe I think the Sopranos is either a show you get or you don't...you can tell that those wikipedia mafiosos don't lol
Sounds like a night out with your friends
Getting treated like the ugly girl at the dance
Paulie's confident swagger over to Carmine and then his expression(s) right afterward and then in the mirror afterwards are some of the most hilarious moments of the series. Paulie nearly swaggered right off a cliff here.
🤣🤣🤣
Nearly Swaggered up his own rear and disappeared
I think Sack did the opposite with Ralphie, carmine knew who he was and respected him for bringing all the money from construction, but when Ralph wanted to switch families he lied and said Carmine doesn't know who you are, he was just lying to keep him in check.
Ralph wasn't capo at this moment, and there wasn't construction yet
Could also be if he took one of Tony’s biggest earners would’ve caused a lot of problems between them.
@@TheWoodIsPooit was before Ralph was capo, not before he was made. He was made years ago, around the same time Tony sil etc were made
Ralphie was smarter than Paulie, so Johnny did not even begin to try to swindle him the same way.
3:54 Imagine you're minding your own business when some random weirdo comes up to you with that "heh heh heh heh" and kisses your cheek out of nowhere
The back and forth when he calls Sil a “wormy c*cksucker” and Sil response, “Doooooaa!” Is one of the best scenes between the two. RIP Paulie, he truly held his own amongst many great actors in that show.
Sirico was a legit gangster and a very sharp man , his acting in the sopranos was always top notch ..never off , in a cast of great actors he held his own
Sil's actor van Zandt hadn't Acted in a professional role prior to the Sopranos. The show runner wanted him to be Tony Soprano they were initially so impressed by his abilities.
@@RKNGL yeah I know which is pretty amazing honestly. I remember when I first read that and I thought it was just meant to be. Sil was a great character as well, probably my favorite overall.
I wonder where Borko’s heart is when he posts videos of mexican soap operas

That scene between Paulie and Silvio is one of my favorite in the show’s entire run.
It must've been tough, at times, for Paulie to be taking orders from guys so much younger. Didn't Paulie say he remembers Tony being born?

I was thinking to take Paulie with me down to Florida to see Beansie, but I can’t. Beansie don’t want to see him because he didn’t manage to make Richie build him that ramp
The ramp got built but it was too narrow to drive a Lionel up it.

Word to the wise: Remember Borko Harbor!
The look Paulie gives Carmine hahaha
Carmine starts to look very concerned
Paulie was the most believable gangster on the show. He dressed the part and didn’t take sh1t from anyone
He was one of the few if not the only guy on the show who really WAS a gangster
Richard Barry Correct.
Also I think Albert Barese was Involved in the life. Tony lip (Carmine Sr.) maybe too.
Richard Barry oh wow so it came natural to him. Tony Sirico looks like a straight up mobster.
You ever think he isn't actin'?
From what I understand and read, Paulie, Albert, Larry, Carmine Sr. , were all involved in organized crime at some point or another. Also, that big dude in Season 2 that made a mom joke to Paulie during Richie's coming home party. He was some kinda gangster too.
It always makes me cringe when Paulie walks up to Carmine.
Beansie shoulda got a life-saving award for how he helped Paulie.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I tnink he's more at a loss. Completely Dumbfounded
The funny thing is him going to his maid's daughter's wedding. I mean, for one thing, don't they have multiple houses they clean, these maids? Are all of the homeowners at the same table?

A top 3 “OOOHHH” along with the “Fuck You Santa” and the untipped waiter one by Paulie
😂
3:20 Best OH award of all time
Paulie was a guy that would have done anything for Tony, his loyalty was unwavering. Tony was to blame for any question in his loyalty, Paulie was around from way back, he did allot of work, he was called upon for the heavy stuff, he loved Tony. Then he starts to get looked over on decisions and loses to guys because a couple of guys put some more money in Tony’s pocket? Loses a decision to that wise a** Ralph? Paulie was human he had feelings, if anyone thinks that guys in that life don’t have feelings and that they don’t come in to play, they’re wrong.
Tony was jealous, he didnt want Paulies mother to be in as nice a "retirement community" as his mother thats why he went with Ralph.
Little Paulie, that you?
Lol this video is about how Paulie is a snake
This is pretty accurate imo, it just didn't help that Paulie was excessively annoying and Tony couldn't stand talking to him because of that, he even woke him up from a coma because of how annoying he was
@@patrickcunningham2747 He's in La Cosa Nostra, what did you think he'd be? He's still human.
The greatest "OOOOOOHHHH" in the series at 3:20
I think it's a tie with the oooohhhh after Murmur called Vito an assmuncher.
Michel de Bie The one by Paulie after the French waiter insults him and Chrissie at the restaurant is actually the best one.
Its great seeing these compilationa because it clearly shows story threads that normally i would miss or not think much about
Metallica’s The Small Hours cover blasting in the club while Paulie and Sylvio are talking in the office was perfect!
Third time MetallicA was used to perfection in this series.
Thank you Borko, I was looking for this scene, I couldn't remember at what point of the show Tony began to have suspicions about Paulie.
Borko you’re only as good as your last envelope, you know what HBO kicked up last week?
Johnny sack played Paulie like a fiddle
Dont forget - I go back in this family to Borko. Before you even!
Paulie’s dad was run over by a trolley. Do you have any idea what that does to a person?
Its a shame when they go young like that.
@@1noetic When they go?!
Borko is my third cousin.
On my muddas side.
Sopranos comments are the greatest thing in the 🌎 I love it. Came for a couple clips and stayed for hours!
Commandatorè.
Paulie was a worm. ALL of them were but Paulie takes the cake for me as the most irredeemable and emotional of the bunch. I'm of the opinion he was well aware of Tony's hit at the end of the show and had something to gain. After Bobby was killed and Silvio was shot, he goes with Tony to his house to get supplied; he is all smiles and laughs when we see him though their crew is dwindling every day. Pretty sure he is the new head or enforcer of Jersey after the show and had a deal with New York already. I wanted Paulie to get his due, he killed an old lady only for money to rectify his dwindling status.
Tony Sirico was such an amazing actor!!
It’s amazing how opposite the dynamic between Paulie and Carmine was. I mean in the sense that Carmine had a way of saying everything he needed, without saying anything at all. Paulie on the other hand was revealing so much to Silvio while trying not to sound resentful of Tony lol.
Also clearly makes a threat to Silvio
I'd love to see paulie actually skipping down the street.
Paulie shouldn't feel too bad, sometimes my father didnt know me from a jar of gherkins.
Very alloequicious, but irregardless, the trolley, whatever happened there?!?!
Seriously the fact that Paulie didn’t get clipped or face any repercussions for what he said to syl is so ridiculous that it’s almost a plot hole
Clipped? That's a big stretch
Sil said "we're off the record" for a reason. It wasn't in front of anyone.
They put formality and rank aside at that moment. They both made their points and moved on.
"Nobody's getting clipped" -Fish Lips
Steve Turowski that does help, I’ll grant you that, but even so, effectively saying “I’m going to effectively be a double agent for a family we’re increasingly at odds with and I’m going to keep giving them info” is really pushing your luck.

“Ooooooohhhhh!!!”
That little outburst he had with Sil should have been the final nail.
"Tony what you do rob a 🏦" No he murdered a old lady with a pillow.😆😆🤦
It’s not a guarantee that Carmine genuinely didn’t know who Paulie was. He was a cautious man and never said anything definitively. For all he knew, Paulie was wearing a wire.
Johnny Sack once told Ralfie Carmine didn’t know who he who he was - and that was a lie as we hear from Carmine’s mouth how important Ralfie is to their business.
During the war with Phil, the Lupertazzi Admin discussed which Jersey members to whack, Paulie was brought up as a target and dismissed because he wasn’t considered high administration. They knew who he was.
Best “Ohhh!!!!!” In the series!
I always had this feeling Paulie was also played by Carmine here. He knew who Paulie was but would never open his game like that, since a lot of intel was coming from NJ to him through Paulie.
But ultimately Johnny Sack was the one that played him like a fiddle.
When Paulie looked in the mirror, I was expecting that donkey earls will grow on his reflection with funny sounds like in a cartoon. 😁
They cut out the best bit! The scene where Carmine Snr walks into bathroom and goes “Hehe, Paulie! I was jus breakin ur balls! You know I love you dearly, I ask about you all the time hehe”
I love/and can relate to that " ohhh shit I've been had look"....
I don't get angry anymore when I get played.....the main thing for is hopefully realize it and be able to make necessary changes 😉
This show has made me not react to certain situations in stressful times I just act normal and silent and don't beg for people's attention when doing me wrong.
I just realized that Metallica's cover of The Small Hours was playing in the background of the meeting between Paulie and Sil. Perfect!
Paulies heart is always in a couple of two places: his mother and his wallet.
He's been having good luck with Swiss Basics moisturizer
Maybe I'll try it
1:48 I’ve been dying to know what Paulie’s always holding between his fingers when he’s thinking hard
chrissy and bacala said on their podcast that thats a thing he picked up in the can, keep your hands right in front of you so theyre ready in case you ever need to use them for certain things
One of the best "Ooooooooohhhhs" of the series.
"Your father was run over by a Trolley right?" lmao
Carmine knew exactly who Paulie was, but if hes willing to have Johnny do the talking to tony at an entire formal dinner, he's not lowering himself to talk to some Jersey captain. And Paulie talking about current tension is way above his station, also guys from one families are not supposed to talk to leadership from others paulie could get clipped for that. And finally hes over there talking business at a civilian wedding with carmines wife there, these people around them arent mobbed up and paulies flapping his gums. That "Whats your name again?" was him saying get the fuck away from me you're irrelevant, and it went righ over paulies head.
Ironically, paulie was the fucking parakeet.
Thanks so much for sharing. Paulie and Tony scenes are awesome.
