Well, for obvious reasons women aren’t pressured in their 20’s, but once we hit 30, we have about ten years or so (give or take) to be able to HAVE babies, unlike men, who have much more time to do so. It’s just an unspoken-and often spoken-expectation that many people put on women when we hit a certain time in our lives. People will even say, don’t you like kids??? Don’t you want the miracle of children in your life? Are you just selfish? But like Sophie says, “not my problem.” That’s all. Most women from this age range will confirm that.

Also turned 30 last year and agree with the pressure you feel to do what everyone around you is doing. It's so hard not to make comparisons when all of your friends are getting married and having children, or buying houses! We lost two years of our 20's during covid so I'm trying to just enjoy being content doing the things we missed doing when we were stuck inside. Having the ability to sit and binge Netflix with no one distracting you is a plus too. ✌

Being married and having kids isn't for everyone. And also being in a romantic relationship can also be not for everyone as well. Societal norms can be a poison if that norm doesn't vibe with you. Go with your own flow. Not the one that people unconciously push on you but the one that's within. After a while, you'll be impervious to what others do as you'll be more focused on yourself and be at peace 👍

By having the courage to share where you’re at, and that you’re happy with your life right now just as it is, you’re helping take some of that pressure off other women - because you’re showing that a fulfilled life can look different for different women, and it doesn’t necessarily have to involve motherhood. ❤ Thanks for being that voice

I was 30 when I got pregnant. At 32 I ve been a mum of 2, done & dusted! Was I ready or pressured? I think I was more pressured than ready! Do I regret it? I am grateful for the chance to experience motherhood, but I wish I had taken my time to be sure that I wanted it as badly as I was pressured to do so! So, please, stay true to yourself and do what you want when you are prepared for it!!! Seeing several mums, who screams the shop down because their kids are not listening, it isn't looking like a happy motherhood or a childhood!
You are a role model for many! I'm grateful to be able to know through your Chanel!!!❤ Love to you

I also had a birthday two weeks ago, and now I am 30 years old as you are. I am living abroad doing what I love. I feel great when I look back and try to figure out every critical decision in my life, and I regret nothing. Everything has a time, and waiting for the right moment when you actually feel it is essential. Doing something just because other people do is not a guarantee of happiness. Because of you, I started taking care of what I was eating, which helped me get into my dream shape. Thank you! :)

I’m 28 and my goals are to be more like you physically. My physical best.
You look like you’re in your early 20s not 30.
Your career is important to you right now. There will always be opportunities to find love when you’re ready. I went to college and started my career and now I’m engaged getting ready to settle down.
My next goal is taking care of my physical health.
Unfortunately my career choice didn’t allow me time to stay fit lol. Way too much studying and 12 hour shifts. It’s still difficult with 12 hour shifts. I’m exhausted after and can’t drag myself to the gym. After my shifts for the week I need a two day recovery time.
But I’m working on it. Your videos help me. Keep doing you lady! 😊

I was in my mid 30s when I had my first child. (My youngest came the year after 🤭. I wanted 2 before I turned 40). I turned 50 last year and my daughters are in their teens now and for the last couple of years I feel that I have more time taking care of myself. I've been working out on gyms since my early 20s. More family focus and less workout during the years when the kids were little. Nowadays my oldest daughter sometimes joins me at the gym.
I want to point out that we waited to have kids until we felt ready for it. Other's opinions on the matter are not worth listening to. It's your business, not theirs. And some people choose not to have children. That's ok too!!
If you feel happy with your life right now, that's exactly how it should be! ♥️

I so appreciate you sharing your entire warmup. I see now that I wasn't warming up entirely. I think society has basic expectations of members to follow a basic life path and although choosing another path could be welcomed, society has another expectation to not directly ask if someone is planning to follow the beaten path lol. I'm single and turned 30 in December and I'm moving closer to nieces and nephews this year so I can be a better aunt! Hahaha. I'm so thrilled and fullfilled with my role. Though in my circles, I've always been very vocal about not wanting kids so I don't notice any pressure personally

I feel you completely about the pressure. I’m turning 26 in April. My little sister is pregnant with a surprise baby and her and her man whom have been dating for 6 months or so are planning to sign a marriage contract. Whereas my man and I have been together for 2.5 years and we live together. My dad has mentioned and ask multiple times why we won’t tie the knot or plan to have kids until our 30s. He keeps saying the older you get the higher the risk of the kids having problems. I told him I’ve wanted a solid financial foundation not just for myself but for my partner since I was very young. I would like to be in a good mindset to have a family and be as present with them as I can because I felt my parents were distant with us kids until they got in a better financial place. I’m currently back in school for nursing. I’ve seen my parents have kids and get married young and now my sister is going through it. My man’s parents and older brother went through the same thing. I am very happy for both of our families as long as they’re happy. Jacob and I just want to have some time to work on our career, focus on each other and our current family and friends and have fun together.
My Aunt is in her early 40s, divorced her husband for cheating after being together for a decade and she doesn’t have a set career right now and she is having the time of her life while taking care of my grandmother. She’d complain to me when she was dating and having fun because my parents and her sisters were judging her.
Anywho, I give you props lady. You do you as with everyone else reading these comments. Life doesn’t always go as planned so it’s good to live life the way YOUD love.

I didn’t have my first kid until I was 35. Don’t let others put pressure on you. When you start feeling like you need to “settle down” your life becomes work/mundane. Go with the flow and do what makes you happy firs for as long as you can. Kids/family take all of that freedom you have now. In a good way but with more stress.

Sounds like you may regret your choices to be so defensive about something that has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with you… You have no right or basis to say what is good or bad advice for anyone here, and I would absolutely despise being your child.

By the way, marriage and children are choices you make when you feel ready and when you feel like it's time to do it; I think that the most important thing in the world is staying faithful to ourselves and feeling good with ourselves, and when you meet someone whom you start a relationship with and who is aligned with your idea of future, these two things come spontaneously.
Be happy with yourself, focus on your job and on whatever makes you feel alive. ❤

I am 31 and a mom since 29. I love it but i am really living another life now. Currently working on going to the gym for 1 hour a few days a week, when its possible. I completely now, that this is not for everyone. Maybe half of my girlfriends don't want to have children at all and that is completely ok and the right desicion for them because no one has to live your life but you ❤

A silly trainer told me to put my elbows at the same level of my ears. Now I know why I never felt ok in that position when doing the shoulders press. Sophia, thanks, that wasuseful.

The really edited, yes, but I understand what you mean. Remember, it's all a carefully crafted production, edited to perfection in order to convey a lifestyle that isn't attainable. You can develop the behaviors, however.

I also turned 30 this year and my perspective has also been to focus on my health and finish my studies to apply for my masters. i don't see myself having kids and really prefer to focus on myself and my goals. you're so inspiring, i didn't know we had the same age, i feel like a lot of the fitness people i follow are all in their early 20's and it just doesn't resonate with me as much. thank you for this new series i love it

I feel this 100%. 29, passionate about my career, kids and marriage seems so far away (if ever) at this stage and I struggle with relating to all my friends having babies even though I do love babies, it’s just not my reality at this stage

Beautiful Sophie 💕I’ve been watching you for a long while and appreciate your honesty. I’m mid 30’s and attempted to do career at the same time as building a family - worked for a bit, but bandwidth is finite and priorities shift with life experiences! I’m now on baby #4 and mostly at home with them.
I’m watching all my career-focused friends begin to dip their toes in settling down & building a family. Some have a really easy time with it (specifically referring to making babies later in life) but MANY are struggling with infertility and it’s heartbreaking. I wish there was a way to share with younger women in a way that comes across loving that…. Our reproductive system has an end time. What do you think? You’re a smart gal!
