    Hey there! If that wire ever becomes a problem again change its angle of entry so that the wire bends an travels upward before going under the door seal so that the water will collect on the bottom of the bend and drip off instead of flowing right inside. Works like a drip loop that cable techs use on your house when running cable down the side of your house.

      That sounds like it would have been a lot easier than what we did.. do you know what function that provides

      Yeah, water flows with gravity. It will not flow upward without wind. As it collects at the bottom of the bend or loop it will become heavy and will drip away. They do that on cable or phone lines so that water doesn't flow into your house and cause serious water damage.

    Sounds like the jeep commanders all have the same problem if they have sun roof’s
