I bought one of these in 2017, and still use it. I actually don't use it for MUSIC. I use it as my in-shower podcast speaker. It's great for podcasts because (unlike my JBL speakers) the sound isn't so bass-focused. When you're listening to podcasts/NPR/talk radio, you really don't want all that bass, as it makes everything sound boomy. This speaker projects vocals really well, and the sound can get over the noise of the shower itself (which can be pretty loud). And there's enough bass to give those vocals warmth & presence. It's splash-proof, which is a necessity if it's going in the shower with you, and it's pretty darn durable! I've dropped mine a number of times, and it just keeps on going! Why spend more? I know it seems crazy these days to say that a speaker is good because it has LESS bass, but that is precisely why I like this one!
This -- very well said. I'm pinning this comment. Pumped bass isn't everything. Listening to dialogues with my JBL speaker is a challenge. Whereas on the Angle 3, vocals are very audible and well-reproduced which is really good for podcasts, videos, calls, movies, etc. But that's not to say it's not good for music. It's a great all-rounder speaker. Funny enough that's also one of my use case for this speaker these days so I can definitely relate hahaha
Crazy story. A couple of months ago I took the girls to the park. I parked the van and when I stepped out, I found a busted Oontz speaker on the street. I turned it on and the power LED turned blue. I paired it with my cellphone and it worked! Sound is loud and clear. I cleaned it up, glued some broken covers and I'm using it everyday. The battery on this sucker lasts a looong time. I just bought two of the smaller versions as gifts for my brothers for fathers day.😊
I have been using mine for 4 years now and its still good. Cilarity of sound is amazing. Does not drain battery after not being used for months unlike JBL that drainsr batt after a week. I have several JBLs.
this speaker has been on my toolbox in an automotive shop for around 6 years now. and its hands down the best speaker in the shop sounds fantastic and gets loud enough to overpower tools, fans, and cars. i think its kinda starting to lay down on my after 6 years of conisistent and daily use and abuse. definetly plan on picking up another one.
I have the exact same but the newer version I think mine has a USB C port and the dust cap on the speaker driver is the classic upverted but other than those differences yours and mine are exactly the same
@@earlmalaki JBL was so bad for watching movies. I couldn't understand anything with that thing haha. Saw JBL Go 2 being on sale for 800-900 php. I guess it's still worth it for people who only listen to music.
True, especially for deep voices -- it drowns in the bass haha But yeah it still sounds good for music especially genres that benefit from emphasized bass.
I've owned the Oontz Angle 3 and the music sounded amazing for such a small bluetooth speaker. It was also nice listening to podcasts with it. And the price is pretty good too! I have since upgraded to a JBL Flip. It was expensive, did not sound as good as my old Oontz Angle 3. The tweeter on my JBL quit after about a year of usage. So now I ordered the Oontz Angle 3 pro. Can't wait! Yes, it will sound good in a classroom in my opinion.
Update: There's a new version of this speaker and it's even better now. The 4th gen features Dual Speaker Mode (pair 2 speakers to play simultaneously in stereo for a total of 20w output), USB C charging port, Bluetooth 5.0 (longer range & better sound quality), and more. Thanks to Edric Evasco for pointing this out!
This guy deserves all the love and subs. I was looking for a good BT Speaker to buy and bumped to this vid. Good review bro, straight to the point and made sense. I just don't know why trash reviews are getting more subs than this guy.
Great review, straight to the point 💯. I've been thinking between Oontz Angle 3 and Anker Soundcore Mini 2 🤔 Do you have plans on reviewing that as well?
Thanks! I haven't thoroughly researched Anker Soundcore Mini 2 and no plans to review it so far, but I did see good reviews about it when I was researching for this video. So I'd say you have a good option pair there :)
I just bought oontz angle 3 ultra a couple of months ago replacing my old one..i should say that this speaker has a balanced and crisp audio with rich bass..better than expensive Bluetooth speakers that i know..
Thanks mate! I didn't know may 4th gen na pala, I can't seem to find it sa site nila. But I checked Lazada (Shoppiyo) and legit meron nga. Mas lalong bang for the buck pa -- dual speaker mode, BT 5.0, usb C, etc. Good stuff! I'll update the description to reflect this info, thank you!
Great review. I got a couple of these...the normal size and the mini. I travel for work all the time and I use them for giving briefings and doing telecons. They have been great. Good sound, light, and reliable. Hard to beat the price too.
Really nice review and video. I have this model and i love it!! What's the name of the song/music you have playing throughout your video?? Its really nice as well!
For tablet, absolutely. I use this a lot for music/videos on laptop/phone. For tv, I think it depends. After all, it's a 10w portable speaker, so it won't give a full sound experience for movies on a big screen tv. Though I have to say, it really is loud and clear for its size.
I'm not very familiar with the area but there's high chance that you can avail Oontz products via distributors. I got mine from a popular ecommerce site here (I'm in asia), the seller was supposedly an official distributor of oontz products.
Angle is better in sound output (10w vs 3.3w) and battery life (14h vs 10h). But Clip 3 has better weatherproofing (IPX7 vs IPX5) and has a more versatile design (carabiner). An interesting point to consider though: For the price of one Clip 3. you can buy two Angles na. And the 4th gen Angle has Dual Speaker mode so you can pair both to get a total of 20W max output in stereo.
mine doesn't have rust, even little signs of rust. other comments mentioned owning one for 1-2yrs+ and no mentions of rust too. so I guess rust isn't an issue even in long term
I have that but i sell it to my colleague, it has a clear tune for watching movies, games but it lacks bass that's why i sold it, but overall it's a good quality budget bluetooth speaker

That was a DOPE intro man!
Watching this video while using my oontz speaker. I bought this 4 years ago and still have a good sound quality
Got mine gen 2. Now it's still working. But damage speaker already. Not bad for 4 years. But still play music.
Somebody stole my 3 year old oontz, I'm pissed, but glad the replacements are so cheap! Thanks for the review.
I have the exact same but the newer version I think mine has a USB C port and the dust cap on the speaker driver is the classic upverted but other than those differences yours and mine are exactly the same
bass wise, i prefer JBL Go 2. but the clarity of this one is a lot better.
Yeah, I feel like JBL speakers are tuned to go bass heavy. While Oontz likes to keep it clear with even mids/highs and tight bass.

Dont buy this crap
@@derchow25 why?
@@luismrtzz0268 garbage. I had one and sold it INSTANTLY. Highs are too harsh, bass is nonexistent. Just buy the Tribit Xsound Go. Thank me later
@@derchow25 how long has that one lasted you? I've been looking for a new speaker cuz my UE Boom is getting distorted but I don't wanna spend a lot.

Thanks my bro, I really appreciate it! 💪🏼
Ilove this speaker but my oontz angle 3 suddenly lost some bass dunno why

Wow that's great, thank you man! Enjoy your new speaker!
anyone else find one of these at a thrift store?...i just got one for $3 and i'm digging this little speaker
Is it possible to connect 4 speakers simultaneously?
I believe it's limited to two speakers only
Great review. I got a couple of these...the normal size and the mini. I travel for work all the time and I use them for giving briefings and doing telecons. They have been great. Good sound, light, and reliable. Hard to beat the price too.
Is it very loud? I’m looking to use it in my car since my stereo is broken. I have cheaper Bluetooth speakers but they’re too quiet.
hmm it's pretty loud. but this speaker is not boomy/bassy compared to most speakers. it's more of balanced sound
Really nice review and video. I have this model and i love it!! What's the name of the song/music you have playing throughout your video?? Its really nice as well!
Thanks! The groovy beat is Good Evening by Amine Maxwell :)

This speaker has an AUX jack port.is it work for laptop with AUX cable ? Respond me please.
Yup! Works with any device with 3.5mm aux port.
I have this for months, are there ways we can connect this to audio interface?
I think you can use a 6.35mm male to 3.5mm male audio cable for that.
The best speaker I’ve used so far
Great review!
Thank you! :)
You sold me on the review
is this ok for sound bar for tv and tablet ?

definitely recommend this speaker

Why didn't you play music through it?
Debating on getting this for my room just to have relaxing sounds for sleep
TIME TO GO OLD SCHOOL, SON, AND HAVE A WIRED STEREO SYSTEM WITH A CD PLAYER SYSTEM THAT CAN PLAY HOURS OF SOOTHING MUSIC!!
What , no micro sd card reader ?
I have one on my escooter it's surprisingly loud and clear
I cannot get my two speakers to sync together
are both speakers 4th Gen?
can i use this as a computer speaker?
yes, it has 3.5mm input if your computer does not have bluetooth
3 to 4 years na ata ganyan ok. Ang ganda pa dn nya
Anong mas okay oontz angle 3 o jbl clip 3?

is this a 360 speaker??
Nope. Only one of the three sides has active speaker drivers. The bottom-facing side has the passive bass radiator. While the last one is blank.
nice review sir.keep it up
Thank you sir!
I have one of these its awesome and the bass wow
I just got mine at goodwill for $4
Is it real stereo?
Yes it is
Jbl flip 6 kills it and takes its money, the 20w power rating is peak watts, not rms watts, the flip 6 is a real 20w rms...
good job making a review of a speaker w/o any music, fooo.
you called it a cheap speaker.... Your words.
