@@giantsfan8872 The extreme 3 is a nice medium option, which you can pick up online between $219.99 - $239.99. It puts out 50 -60 watts in battery mode, & 100 watts while it’s plugged in. At 75 - 80 percent volume it tends to hold it’s own & maintain good sound quality.

I have the JBL Flip 6, best audio device I ever bought, that small tweeter makes a big difference! Most portable speakers are tune to produce overkill bass, this one has a great bass but it also sounds clear and opened.

Ever since release in 2018 I owned the Charge 4, which has been absolutely phenomenal to say the least. That little thing has been everywhere and always exceeded expectations. At the time my roommate had a boombox that was still getting outperformed by the Charge 4. But today I live in a significant larger house and the Charge 4 is struggling. Most of the time I listen to harder styles like D&B, EDM, Hardstyle, etc. and after years of usage, I blew the speaker overcompensating the space it had to fill. Other genres are still doable, but the bass is a goner. So, this time I went with the PB110, knowing from experience the boombox wouldn't cut it either, and with the encore probably still being to small and the 310 and up likely to be way to much overkill inside the house. My advice: If you want to have something portable to take with you everywhere you go, pick the flip, clip, flap, flop, or whatever the unnecessary overkill on models. If you want something hybrid/semi, to take to the beach and also use in a apartment/room or small house, go for the Charge. Everything bigger and stationary outdoors, the partyboxes.
is PB110 better than boombox ? I have charge 5 and absolutely love it and I really liked boombox3 design. PB110 looks like a normal big homespeaker but boombox strap just kills me :) I need to hold it :)
@@bekilturgut In my experience, the PB110 outperforms the boombox by miles! Only in terms of mobility the boombox would be better. If you already have the charge 5, the boombox wouldn't be much of a upgrade imo.
I have 2 Charge 4's that I bought a few mo ago. The Charge 5 is better but the Charge 4 was on sale for $80 so I grabbed 2. I'm very happy with them. I noticed that the Flip 6 is the same size as the old Charge 2 that I've had for years and is now beat up.. but Still works.
Have had JBL SPEAKERs FOR OVER 5 years. Have a Charge 5 now and it is used DAILY, multiple times. I love music as well as used with phone for TH-cam. A must have in my opinion I love it!

I got the boom box 2 it’s absolutely awesome but way to large to transport everyday. I’m looking to the extreme 3 simply for portability and type c charging. Excellent information on these devices
My company gifted me a Charge 5 and I initially thought what am I going to do with this thing?? I listen to music with high end headphones or my home wharfedale elysians/home theatre. Then I connected it to my laptop and it hit me.. perfect for boosting my laptop remotely for zoom meetings, hotels, anywhere really. I just toss this thing in my laptop bag/pack and have acceptable audio no matter where I am in the world.

I bought a used PB 200, slapped some rubber wheels under it (the 300 comes from the factory with them), threw in a battery pack (also in the 300 from the factory), and I'm happy! Plenty of good bass JBL sound for small money (bought it for 100 $)
The JBL Boombox is insanely loud and clear, even on battery. I've used it outdoors and indoors. It's always a party when that thing is around. Worth every penny if you're looking for a powerful portable speaker with amazing battery life.
Thanks for the excellent review! I got the go3 about a year ago as a gift and i've loved how portable it is and its been a perfect shower speaker. Weirdly when i was charging it one day, the usb c charging cable literally melted INTO the speaker and broke off. Like it melted the plastic around the port and re-harded around it and then the charger broke off so i literally cannot recharge it. So long story short I'm in the market for a new speaker! While I loved the go3, its definitely been a little subpar at anything more than personal listening. I go to the beach and pool frequently as well as have small parties so I think I'm going to go with a refurbished charge 5 for only $115! It definitely seems like the best value.
My favorite speaker by far is the JBL flip 6 and JBL charge 5 the flip is just loud and small and has good value and the strap makes it easy to hang on my bike and the charge has very good bass and a good price compared to the xtreme which is to expensive and not worth it
The JBL speaker I love the most is the JBL Charge 5. It’s super light, has a decent size, pretty good battery, and pretty good sound. It has a built in power-bank which is nice. My cousin and I have the same exact speaker so we can use the PartyBoost feature. I’d say it’s better than the Flip 6.
I’ve Got the Charge 5, and Go 3 and it’s a great pairing, the Go 3 is amazing for smaller spaces, and limited space for transport. The Charge 5 is great for pretty much antpything, the only possible draw back is it size, but that is minute compared to the pros.
JBL has been doing PartyBoost for a few years now. I locked in on the JBL Connect+ generation and got 10 speakers. 2 Flip 4, 2 Charge 4, 2 Pulse 3, 2 Xtreme 2, and 2 BoomBox. I connect all of them at parties and especially camp trips with dope playlists. Salty that I can't(won't) get any of JBL's improved generations because I invested in the "wrong" generation. They have done three up to this point by the way; Connect, Connect+, and PartyBoost.

Im rocking a flip essential 2 for abt a week now and I'm blown away by the quality of sound coming from this little thing! Its my first JBL as it's very expensive in my country so when this was on special I snapped it up! Im not much for playing my music randomly in public and was honestly just looking for a new shower speaker😅... Must say, the bass on this thing is insane and even overpowering at times... Wonderful little device and highly recommend it (if on discount)
I was a little hesitant on getting the red flip 6 because it looked.... scuffed on the color but decided to bite the bullet (currently waiting for it). However, the ones he has look vibrant as hell. I hope that's how they actually look, and the picture is the thing that's scuffed.

They where really expensive and their battery died way too fast. Also having 3 different connection systems is really annoying. If JBL would guarantee that they support PartyBoost further I'd definitely buy the new Charge 5.
I was kinda disappointed with the xtreme 3 because it sounded so similar to the charge 5 for me just with more bass so I returned it and got the boombox 3 and as soon as I started playing some music it was a major improvement compared to the xtreme 3. But one reason I see why someone would choose the xtreme 3 for portability. The shoulder strap is super convenient

I have a general question, do JBL speakers do a sound when you get a phone call or do they just stop the music to let you know ? My huawei ones do an extremely loud noise and it doesn't matter if my phone is on mute or sound. I cannot use them of fear someone might call bc of how stressful loud the ringtone is.
I was _very_ fond of my JBL GO 3 until the '+' volume button ceased to function after about a year of use. The speaker still works, but only at very low volume.
You should be able to set it so your phone can control the volume of the speaker directly. Believe it’s a setting somewhere in Bluetooth if you are using a phone

there is most definitely a bass difference but loudness its a 1db diffrence but the boombox has way better quality and you dont have to turn it up as loud on the volume thing @@omarramos1957
@@omarramos1957 Boombox 3 is loud and has an amazing deep bass. Now, two Charges 5 are way better than an Xtreme 3. I got an Xtreme 3 in the past to compare with my Charges 5 and it didn't fill my expectations, the fact that you can make the Charges 5 work as a stereo in partyboost fills better space as a single Xtreme 3.

I bought an Extreme 3, two hundred quid, it's good but i'm gonna return it and get the Flip 6 and Clip 4. The Flip 6 seems to be the same quality sound as the extreme, and then i'll also have a little mini speaker. I returned the Boombox 3, it was a monster of a speaker, it turned my office into a goddamn nightclub, the bass is way too powerful, i was getting complaints from my neighbours, and from my own ears, even at low volume. The boonbox is more suitable for a warehouse or large room, it's got a lot of bass
A friend told me JBL was American made but when I looked into it, nothing is made here. The company is American owned but that's as far as it goes. Apparently the main manufacturing has gone to Mexico, with other plants in Hungary, and China. I was disappointed but that's the way it is.

I have a JBL charge plus 2 and IMHO, it has not been bested by any current models. I returned a much bigger bluetooth speaker to costco after doing a sound comparison and figured out how to replace the internal battery on the JBL(which I why I wanted to replace). It's the only Charge to fit in a cupholder, don't know why they're all so bulbous now, mine sounds just as good or even better then these new models. Take note JBL, newer is not always better
They are almost all good for jbl ecosistem but extreme 3 is the worst for the price because for that price you can almost get a partybox 110 or a tribit stormbox

Best party setup- Boombox 3 for volume and bass, then a few pulse 5s spread around for light effects and as just extension tweeters

JBL speakers rules!!! BOSE quality is ok but when it comes to bass wise i’ll go with JBL.
Pulse 5 is sick and I love my Clip 4 blue.

I would agree. I own a Clip 3 myself, but when I heard my friend's Clip 4, I knew that had a much improved sound from the 3

I have a general question, do JBL speakers do a sound when you get a phone call or do they just stop the music to let you know ?
My huawei ones do an extremely loud noise and it doesn't matter if my phone is on mute or sound. I cannot use them of fear someone might call bc of how stressful loud the ringtone is.
I was _very_ fond of my JBL GO 3 until the '+' volume button ceased to function after about a year of use.
The speaker still works, but only at very low volume.
You should be able to set it so your phone can control the volume of the speaker directly. Believe it’s a setting somewhere in Bluetooth if you are using a phone

Is there a big difference in how loud they are and bass wise? I just got the xtreme 3 but want to know if I should of just spend a bit more for the boombox
there is most definitely a bass difference but loudness its a 1db diffrence but the boombox has way better quality and you dont have to turn it up as loud on the volume thing @@omarramos1957

@@omarramos1957 Boombox 3 is loud and has an amazing deep bass. Now, two Charges 5 are way better than an Xtreme 3. I got an Xtreme 3 in the past to compare with my Charges 5 and it didn't fill my expectations, the fact that you can make the Charges 5 work as a stereo in partyboost fills better space as a single Xtreme 3.

I bought an Extreme 3, two hundred quid, it's good but i'm gonna return it and get the Flip 6 and Clip 4. The Flip 6 seems to be the same quality sound as the extreme, and then i'll also have a little mini speaker.
I returned the Boombox 3, it was a monster of a speaker, it turned my office into a goddamn nightclub, the bass is way too powerful, i was getting complaints from my neighbours, and from my own ears, even at low volume. The boonbox is more suitable for a warehouse or large room, it's got a lot of bass

A friend told me JBL was American made but when I looked into it, nothing is made here. The company is American owned but that's as far as it goes. Apparently the main manufacturing has gone to Mexico, with other plants in Hungary, and China. I was disappointed but that's the way it is.

I have a JBL charge plus 2 and IMHO, it has not been bested by any current models. I returned a much bigger bluetooth speaker to costco after doing a sound comparison and figured out how to replace the internal battery on the JBL(which I why I wanted to replace). It's the only Charge to fit in a cupholder, don't know why they're all so bulbous now, mine sounds just as good or even better then these new models. Take note JBL, newer is not always better
Is the fast forward feature available on JBL go 3?
They are almost all good for jbl ecosistem but extreme 3 is the worst for the price because for that price you can almost get a partybox 110 or a tribit stormbox
