ah yes showdown in the outlands and ashes of badlands are my favourite expansions 😅 the taunt warrior looks amazing, any deck with UNITY, PRECISION, PERFECTION is a 10/10
It's too much. The power-level is unbearably silly, buffs, discover, rush and card-draw has gone way overboard. If you don't have the cards to create a meta-deck, climbing ladder is impossible.
I really like these balance changes so far. I think those cards were severely overtuned but it’s possible that the meta adjusts and the decks aren’t crazy. I do think that Crusader’s aura should’ve been hit too, though
Maybe aura could last 2 turns or have a stat change nerf in someway. Having to keep a board clear for three turns is pretty hard to do for any deck. Maybe if it buffs the minion after they attack it could still be useful but not so swingy
Completely agree, it’s weird that people freaked about the snake (understandable) but it’s a turn 8+ combo-you’ve got to keep the board completely clear with divine shields every turn or you’re dead on 6 with pally.
Notably on the first game, it was correct to Asvedon for an Azerite Vein since it was highly likely the only reason Reno hadn’t been played yet was because the Druid didn’t have it - such that Vein was likely to give a Reno and Kibler had just dredged the last Duplicate out of his deck.
I was theorycrafting a highlander warrior before this expansion was revealed and then reno made my day. Warrior minion pool for buffing is quite good so playing it highlander with One-amalgam band and Voone makes for a decent deck. Works as a rocknroll deck with only taunt or rush minions to contest the board.
My 1st game after the patch I immediately got OTK'd by always a bigger Jormungar. I feel like because they spend a while buffing up their cleaves, they normally have enough mana to cover that 1 extra cost by the time they want to kill you. I'd rather they just got rid of the attack buff and kept it at 1 honestly. Or they could rework the text to: "Excess damage dealt to the targeted minion hits the enemy hero." and make it 1 mana +3 attack instead. I really don't think it's healthy for the game the way it is.
For all it does , blind sharpshooter should be a legendary with the current stats. That card is absolutely ridiculous. Draws card and deals DMG at the same time? 🤯 Still got destroyed on turn 4 by it. It's insanely frustrating.
Aggro DH is close to a 50% wr and will probably drop even lower with the patch. The deck is hard to play and this definitely affects the winrate, but as a DH player all i can say is that everyone sees the highest highs of the deck without paying much attention to the lowest lows or the average.
@nightcoreinsanity1294 Aggressive decks still have a lot of depth and moving parts to them, and some of them have even more then some control decks lol. Idk why there's this stigma where anything that tries to end games early or with as much lethality as possible is called "braindead", because for the most part there's still a lot that goes into aggro decks on the player's end that actually makes it successful.
It was annoying and overtuned. Also, it's not very interactive or fun to go against. Considering there's a previous video of a naga DH suddenly doing almost 30 face damage in one turn plus clearing board and making their own board in the process. (Before turn 10)
I still haven't figured out how to beat any form of taunt warrior. I'm kinda high legend btw, but every game i play against any version of that deck just seems impossible to beat after turn 6. What are their weaknesses? Besides silence which is kinda hard to find nowadays
control priest was the biggest counter in my experience, and really agressive decks. Its been a while since i played taunt warrior, and the list mightve been refined more since then, but thats what i usually lost to. Other than naga dh and sneklok who have both been nerfed
OTK DH I'm more fine with because the lines are usually not very obvious and it's a harder deck to play, so glad to see the brainless OTK hunter strat nerfed as well
I appreciate it probably makes a fair amount more editing work but I just wanted to say that without the graphics on screen the cards you’re talking about are hard to keep track of. I think I’m one of many of your regular viewers who never actually plays the game anymore and so I can’t recall the cards from name alone, or their effects. Good content as always though!
Can someone explain to me when Hearthstone added their own bots? This entire week I've been playing NPCs in ranked. I can't report them so I assume they are blizzard bots. All named something something pants. When did this start happening?
In wild. . . 95 percent of the time I play against mage they are playing Time Warp. After some nerfs, there’s a new Time Warp deck. . .is possibly the strongest one yet. For a nerf, I might suggest that Time Warp go from being an ‘arcane’ spell to not having a spell-type. That would be the beginning of a nerf for me.
Literally every single nerf to time warp made the deck much weaker. And right now is probably the weakest it has been since before they printed parrot. What are you talking about?
@@HaloNeInTheDark27: I’ve been facing the same time warp deck for a day or two now. Seems like the exact same deck, as opposed to the previous exact same time-warp decks I’ve played against. How quickly, now, everyone plays the same deck? The most recent one contains the legendary 3/5 or so creature ‘your arcane spells cast twice’. They use arcane spell that gives you a ‘mana biscuit’. They seem to go from 0 of 8 spells cast to 8 of 8 spells cast in one turn. It makes sense that they’d save spells in hand until they get the ‘your arcane spells cast twice’ creature down. The main spell seems to be the one that gives you a mana biscuit. Perhaps it would be too complicated to try and put Flame Waker down also? Time warp casts twice, too. They use the extra turns to get the 9 mana cost creature ‘cast your spells again’. Perhaps most of my decks are too slow or they don’t carry enough disruption to beat the time warp combo?
I don't think they should have hit snake warlock that hard. It really wasn't looking particularly strong outside of low level play and nerfing the dmg to 7 pretty much kills the deck (and makes warlock unplayable); 8 dmg would be more than enough of a nerf imo
@@silensuna That shit from classic days was what enraged me most. I still agree with this sentiment. The extent of punishment you receive for playing too many minions is that you lose them to AoE. A developed board on your end shouldn't help your opponent that much and should never result in burn/face damage.
Meh, the kneejerk reaction of players which neutered Snake seemed like dumb overkill. Just a few days after the expansion was out, a bunch of other decks were already so much faster
Ofcourse not. Imagine if the 6/6 death rattle shuffle 3 horseman was a battle cry that added 3 horse man in hand, and each of them a battlecry too. That's basically the snake. It's super uninteractive and slow decks have zero chance against it.
@@ksvsrikar2779 Exactly? Paper rock scissors and "slow decks" lose against the Snake matchup. Now, most decks win against the matchup unless you manage to drop EVERY bounce AND Sargeras. Super uninteractive, indeed.
They have NEVER balanced the game and imo they make stupid patches that tend to often worry about the non standard formats. There are so many bad cards in the game it is just stupid to get into this game anymore the power creep and cash shop greed is just insane. I have not given Blizzard any money in a long time and only pop in to play a few games once in a blue moon and the game just looks broken beyond repair very poorly run by this team. I have gone back to playing MTGA but I wouldn't say it is much better but I can achieve more in less time meaning there is no reward really for playing long periods of time play your 5-7 games and get out. Digital gaming is such a cheap low budget platform for devs but they are still asking MORE money than what we payed for discs and added trinkets in games of old or even paper cards that need to be printed and shipped. We should be getting an entire set for 25 bucks these are digital LICENSED items they have ZERO value.
ah yes showdown in the outlands and ashes of badlands are my favourite expansions 😅 the taunt warrior looks amazing, any deck with UNITY, PRECISION, PERFECTION is a 10/10
For reference, during that game at 24:00 he attacked 9 times with the battlepickaxe for a total of 36 damage.
Not bad for only 3 mana.
Pyroblast in shambles.
It's too much. The power-level is unbearably silly, buffs, discover, rush and card-draw has gone way overboard. If you don't have the cards to create a meta-deck, climbing ladder is impossible.
I run some attack buffs since the damage stacks up in the long run

sniping that odin feels so good
I think it's wild it took them so long to remove the card draw from Order in the Court.
sick nerf on naga
Another fun and interactive game against a Druid.
I think the 0 mana 3 attack and 4 attack spells were the problem with naga dh

I wan’t crushed by the Naga until it was nerfed.
They kept the kids gloves on with paladin balance
The black rock version is even funnier 😊
so we back in the mine
Can we get a death rattle hunter deck???? Please kibs
