I love watching videos from Powerdrift, and India in general. Here in the west you see people complaining that their 250 or 300 or even 500 isn't enough, isn't a real bike, while if you take a look halfway across the world - that same 250cc bike will be seen as a sporty, great handling road machine. Talk about proportion.
    Great video as always!

The bike has turned out to be really great and taking the commuter segment by storm. Hats off to Bajaj and a special thanks to powerdrift for displaying the V15 in all it's glory. All though the bike is great, I personally feel that if Bajaj had used the metal of INS Vikrant on it's Higher displacement motorcycles like the new Bajaj Avenger series, it would have shaken the biking scenario here in India, well that's just my personal preference, anyways the Bajaj v15 has turned out great!

+Abhinav Kumar they pretty much created a new segment of patriotic buyers by marketing this bike as a new brand 'V' instead of using it for cruiser bikes.
      Thats very good marketing.

yes, the face set's up the mood! I dont understand ? ton of money goes in r&d and the guys at hq decide to screw up the most imp thing on a bike. even a 10th class guy could design better headlamps than these..... smh

+PowerDrift Or maybe flat rectangular with oval edges kinda like an elongated smartphone with all around DRLs...man they could have made the head look so slick and futuristic on this one, would have killed all other commuter bikes single handedly

Harley Davidson bikes r so low in hight, because due to low centre of gravity it reduces the accidents and will be easier to handle even with multiple pillion riders (but if u r new to the bike u may feel it is not easy, but it wil take some time to realise). And at the same time bikes like pulsar unicorn hunk fz will be difficult to handle particularly even with a single pillion rider, and which leads to accidents, unfortunately companies (except few like Harley Davidson) r not caring about. Infact about a decade ago i wrote letters to all companies to reduce the hight. I appreciate bajaj for bringing this bike, and i am going to buy it.

This bike is superb. My exp after owning it fr a yr., n running it for 7400km.
Bike look is awesome frm all angle. Bajaj has hit a jackpot in tht dept. Sme ppl doesn't like some aspect in its design but I have no issues.
Milege is btw 40-45km on avg speed of 50km per hr.
Top speed I have never chkd actually, but did touch 90km without any vibration. So u can say vib. is nt a issue here.
    Good pick up n power.
Changing gears had issue initially but 1nce u settle in no prblm in it either.
Over all a good bike which gives total satisfaction.

I am using my passion pro for the past 12 years, for commuting. This is a high time for me to change my bike. Hope V15 would be a good choice. I am hesitating after seeing the real wheel dimension, 16", Atleast it should be 17". I guess that's the reason this bike has more torque than speed and vibration at 60 KMPH itself. For Bangalore pothole roads, is 16" wheel sufficient? won't it create back pain.? As a family man, I am ok with seat dimensions.

  • @jeevachaithanyansivanandan

I own this BV15. Recently made a ride from Mumbai to Pune ( nearly 150KM) up and down at late night. This bike rode the Khandala / Lonavala hill ways in ease and comfort with a pillion rider. There is vibration if you go over 85-90KM/hour but upto that it rides super cool.
Bajaj got the best economic-price tag as compared with features/specs. Compare the Dominar vs RE 300 in terms of price & features.
Seems Bajaj Bikes are like Redmi Phones ;)

Looks like the traffic cops can add this bike to their line up. Serves best with the single seat, plus adds to the "patriotism" quotient.
P.S: The head light is a big let down. The shape reminds me of an old undie :P

Secondly, being a car guy I judge reviews very deeply and you guys are way better than any Indian car review channel I must say. The script, the videography, everything is top notch.

I will wait for a V20 or a V22 even V30..if they ever come out. I guess Bajaj can make it happen. They did it with every other product they have. But quite frankly for V15, 150cc is a bit small for that awesome design..and come on..its a part of our History...The INS Vikrant deserves more respect.

Decent looking ride .. but BAJAJ didnt have to try toooo hard with the headlamps (and fuck it up massively) .. ALL THAT was needed was to install the round headlamp of the firrrst pulsar and the same instrument cluster and viola! they wouldve had a masterpiece.

    A few issues for me.
    1. Tail reminds me of another motorcycle.. a cruiser I think it was, just cant remember which one. so loses out on originality.
    2. No circular headlight on a motorcycle with quite a few curves
    3. Main issue, the small 150cc engine instead of the bigger avenger engine
But overall it's actually pleasing to the eye

    • @powerdriftofficial
      @powerdriftofficial  8 ปีที่แล้ว

+Vallon The circular headlight would've been a good change! The 150cc engine is built group-up and is pretty good considering it is a city commuter.

+PowerDrift ..i am not so speedy guy.. i prefer normal mature riding..good milage..easy movings in city..wider tyres..not those of honda shine.such tyres create problems on mumbai roads..i thought of hornet without disc brake at 92k or unicorn 160 cbs at 89k.bt i am bit confused as i like to drive smoothly on highways and cut lanes on traffic roads..so 92k for hornet is it worth...also then in 7 years of bike riding..i have Highest covered 160kms in a day on bajaj platina..no long trips like 400-500kms total etc..so i thght of bajaj v..as it has tubeless wide tyres.. easily flicks in traffic..heavy also..as platina is difficult to ride in highway..milage of bajaj v is also good..but i s@w sm bad reviews abt bajaj v..so ur expert opinion might help to make a decision

That would have to depend on your riding preferences - NS for spirited urban riding, CBR for comfortable touring and attacking corners, and the V15 for if you like to commute in a retro-ish style! :D

Seems Round head lamp is for next version. May be Bajaj V 18 is going to come with round head lamp, more power and 180CC,
25-30 km mileage, around 1,00,000 lack price tag. I think some group of people who are looking for 125cc or newly entering into 150cc seems this one is good enough with near 70k price.

+PowerDrift You never know. Now almost all bikes with 160cc touching 90,000 tag. Unicorn 160 with combi braking and yamaha FZ-2, Apache 180 Abs in my city 90,000 or more. By the time next V series come they
may come up with 180 or 200cc with more emission control support and power/sporty features and may charge between 90,000 to 1,00,000 rupees. Other than bajaj I can not imagine any cruiser or cafe raiser under 1,00,000 lack price from any other company. If there are any available in today market let me know under 1 lack.
