That's because the gearing is so bad. If I wanted to street ride with a straight chain like this I would build an engine capable of 7K RPM and use a 72 tooth sprocket. It would then have decent low end, cruise nicely at 35 mph and capable of 50 mph. A 72 tooth sprocket would work with a stock engine but you just wouldn't have as high a top speed. My Colemans are used for trail riding only. The torque converter is the way to go for off road.

Yes, if you get the chain to fit good with no tensioner on it, that's way better.

have you tried holding it with vice grips?
So what I had to do was take a wrench and put it on the bolt and hit with a hammer and it came loose
I used a fast drill with a socket on there and it breaks loose from it I just did this yesterday😭
It needs a a chain tensioner is all.
You can always add one but I don't run one

yes, at least a 60 tooth but most likely a 70 tooth. I ended up putting a torque converter on it with a 40 tooth rear.

Use an impact and hold the clutch in place. If that doesn't work heat it with a torch.
