The most amazing financial stupidity I ever encountered was when a girl I worked with got her first flat then just a couple of months later booked a lavish holiday. We older bods in the office were curious how she could afford it because setting up a first home has a lot of expenses, even when you're just renting. It transpired this girl had absolutely no understanding that she still had to pay her rent in the weeks she was on holiday! She genuinely thought that when she was away, she would get two weeks rent free! 🤦♀️ 😲
