A while back I did a series to see if it was possible to beat every Vice City mission without weapons. This time I took the plunge to see if you can beat the entire game without driving. Enjoy :)

I actually tried to do this when I was 5. Didn't know how to enter cars.
I remember reading how the driver is such a hard mission and then once when playing it Hilary just got stuck in the ground in one of the small bridges right after the start giving be a free victory
It’s only ‘hard’ at first glance. They give you a very weak car compared to his. But the AI in the game REALLY sucks at driving. Especially fast cars. So it’s almost inevitable that he’ll crash and you can easily pass him that way. Hell he’s so bad at driving I failed the mission once because he drove off a bridge into the water lol

That mission always annoyed me. Why do I need to be better driver then you to hire you to be my getaway driver? Why do I also have to drive you to the heist? Imagine another heist member doing this.

I watched this video solely for The Driver, as I have fond PTSD filled memories of that race, and honestly did not think it was possible to beat that.
But then again, I also didn't know it was possible to push cars like that, so...

Tapping the sprint button is *not* an exploit, pretty much everyone knew that when the game came out and I think the game actually points it out directly.

Back on the day my PS2 Vice City was scratched, so i couldn't get inside any vehicle since some radio stations where ruined so Made the game crash, i remember i tried to play without using the vehicles honestly i remember that i got to the Ricardo Díaz mission in the alley i dont remember how i did it tho.

In 2003 my PC crashed sometimes when Tommy gets out from the car. So I really tried to do a lot of stuff without driving.
Iin the "drive but keep looking towards dude" section using minimap (and the map knowledge as the angle keeps changing) seems like a way to go.
For some reason I thought this might include riding the bus. Then I remembered you can't ride the bus, you can only steal it and drive it.
I really appreciate this high quality content. These challenges are very fun to watch and I hope you have some other ideas up your sleeve

@@JCBOiii you wouldn't last a week streaming, editing and working irl. For a first attempt at this format(to my knowledge), he did great. The rough edges that you complain about get eliminated with time as he gets a feel for it.

17:18 I really like this video! Though I noticed you called the Sentinel "mediocre". Speed isn't everything. I would argue the Sentinel's handling and utility more than makes up for the lack of those sports car top speeds and acceleration.

immediatly thought of the Hillary mission, the Phil's missions i am certain you can not progress story to a point where the endgame missions would trigger without that bank heist so that is my guess 37 seconds into video - it is impossible.
Oh i did not even know that cutscene counted. welp that is immediate failure of the premise than. you can not do it without driving.

if u allowed cheats would destroy all cars reduce the intial cutscene's drive to possiblely get the "distance travled in car" stat down? forgive me if this is a dumb question i didnt have a working vice city copy until 2 years ago becuase every ps2 vice city disc i bought was more scratched then a cat's scratching post

to drive boats you are required to have you tried getting another boat to push them? now that's very circumstantial being that Tommy can not swim and the other boat needed to push the required boat must be in range for tommy to switch vehicles. But in GTA SA you can position vehicles before mission starts, been a second since I played VC so I can't remember if you can do it there.
10:33 - There's an easier route at the back of the junkyard. You can get to Downtown from the back. Maybe it's shorter. You only need to be careful at one spot where you or Lance can fall in the water.

How fast can you beat GTA while only driving in reverse
Haven't seen thia video but unfortunately no, the first cutscene alone is 0.04 miles by car.
I do mostly play Vice City on foot tho. Tommy is fast and the map isn't too too big
