I got through half a play through of trying this a couple of years ago, but my hard drive got corrupted. I was going for no deaths, no weapons, no fists playthrough. It is possible to beat "All hands on deck" without dying and with no fists. If you hide on the yacht on the ground level and rotate around, your henchmen can do the killing without dying. There's a point in the middle of mission where another boat comes by the yacht where you can jump on and steal it. What I did was I used the aggro of the hunter heli and went behind the enemy boats, forcing the enemies to take all the shots, possibly the enemies were shooting me and I was ducking so their shots actually get absorbed by their own boat too until they blow up I can't remember.

Vice City is my most favorite game of all time, after all those years and it still has fresh content to offer. Don't stop making videos!

Rewatching this, and seeing all the OM0 deaths I was suddenly reminded of a conversation in Planescape: Torment, where you can win an argument by killing yourself. Tommy seems to have taken that to heart, playing P:T while in the pen.

watched full thing. i thought naval engagement ahod and that auntie p mission i cant remember the name would all be problems proved me right and ovcorse i thought shootiest would no be possible
4:00 interestingly in this mission if you manage to get into the site by jumping off from Avery construction site without triggering the door to open they will behavior extremely weird and their gravity will be turned off you could lighting push them into the wall they will take a lot of damage over short period of time or you could get in the car but when you start moving there is chance they will just fly up into space lol

Maybe the line of code in the mission with Rico about the stopping the deal is connected with the "anti-cheat" securness - if you use Big bang you can not pass the mission?

Is it really not possible to beat the shooting range mission without shooting, that was the one that came up in my mind as not doable, isn't there a glitch?
This might be a stupid question because I haven't watched all the video yet but I am confused. Why is it called 'no guns' and not 'no weapons' if you aren't going to use melee weapons?
No Guns seemed like the more "marketable" term.
The original series was called "Can you beat every Grand Theft Auto Vice City mission with just your fists? Episode 1" etc
It was way too long, YT loves short and snappy titles
Also, melee weapons are not worth noting at all. They're the same as fists, but do more damage. The "no guns" part is the actually challenging bit :)

Can you do a video about if you can beat gta vc without killing anyone
VC is probably the easiest 3D game for pacifist. All main missions, some extra property chains and some other missions can be completed glitchless without any kills in the stats. The only exception is Phnom Penh '86 (as you'll have to shoot the 3 last guys on the roof for them to drop the briefcase). Also Guardian Angels is an RNG and reset fest but it's also doable (requires a barricade for Diaz and maybe some "non-lethal" shots so that Diaz and Lance can kill the guys faster).
Can you beat vice city only driving in reverse

How are you getting this running properly on a modern PC?
@@tubewatcher97 Vice City runs fine on a modern PC with very minor tweaking. If you're looking to play casually, installing silentpatch will fix all of your potential issues

Because it makes no difference, they're the same as fists but with extra damage, so I decided to not allow them as well
Couldnt you equip knuckle dusters since its not a gun to make it easier.... and why are you playing in JAPANese?
Knuckle Dusters wouldn't make a difference, same with melee weapons so I decided to just ban them all.
Japanese is because some of the glitches shown only work on those versions :)
So any idea as to why Naval Engagement requires Tommy to shoot?

In the mission 'Naval engagement' the game's code won't let you pass the mission unless you shoot from a gun.

Well at least you did not shoot anyboyd with a gun if I am not mistaken, only the air in Naval Engagement and fake stuff in the Shootist. This is the real challenge you beat!
fire vid ben, vice city was like my top 3 childhood games and its really fun to watch speedrun breakdowns with all the different mechanics and especially your challenge videos where you use those mechanics or glitches
Love the concept of bopping Lance's heli to progress his AI like it's a Half-Life 2 speedrun.

In GTA Vice City you can complete all missions without weapons and glitches except for Naval Engagement (one shot) and Messing with the Man (I only managed to do it with a chainsaw).

I've been doing this challenge for every GTA I can play, and the ones for the PSP (LCS, VCS) are for sure the grandaddies of them all. so effin' difficult and unbalanced for melee only
