Great video! The Arizona desert is beautiful 🌵 What are your thoughts on the blown in insulation? Is that the way all insulation is done these days? How does it compare to the thicker rolls of pink fiberglass insulation people used to use in their attic spaces?
So blown in fiberglass has been used for ages going all the way back to the 1950s with old school cellulose insulation. That stuff was basically shredded newspaper treated with a fire retardant. The new stuff is loose fill fiberglass but much softer than the pink batts. It feels like a synthetic wool. The advantage is in the installation. Pink batted insulation is often installed between joists while leaving the tops of the joists exposed. That allows for convective heat loss through the lumber, whereas blown in insulation covers the lumber making the home even more efficient. Great question though!
I currently work for AJF Inspections as a senior level inspector. Today my inspection in Fountain Hills took me 10 total hours to complete. None of our home inspections take 45 minutes, ever
Wow. Super professional Nick. I've been a home inspector here in the valley for more than 25 years. Until I saw this comment I had never heard of you or your company. I thought I knew everyone worth knowing. Guess I was right.
AJF is the best !!! 🎉
That would make Eric the best of the best!

Eric was as thorough as any excellent inspector I’ve seen.
