My parents had an English Bulldog that enjoyed swimming. He watched my Dad do it, so he was going to do it as well. Not a retriever level swimmer, but no problem staying afloat. He didn’t have the nose problems of many of today’s bulldogs, and was more athletic, especially in cool to just below freezing temperatures. A great tease of his was to pick up a 12 pound sledge gingerly by the hammer and run off with the handle sticking up in the air. Take care.
An amazing breed and many of them can swim without problem. They are beautifully stubborn with huge personalities and give so much love

A whole lot of awesome in bulldogs. I have had one. I recently lost him to old age. They love in to most wonderful ways
