      Right? It’s just as deserving! I’d buy it.

      I just built Gouf Custom. The build is fine. But the fucking right arm doesn't hold the galling worth a fuck.

      The HG is the best! The MG which I just finished is in need of an update badly.

      That was one thing nice about the HG Gouf Crimson Custom, it supported the Gatling shield well.

    Not a Gundam or kit building guy myself but I did pick up this guy the other day. I mainly collect Godzilla and kaiju and MOTU stuff. Don't have a lot of room for Gundam stuff. Just mainly getting what I like and trying to stay with HG stuff as it's the best price with me with everything else I buy and collect. I have the HG Psycho Gundam, HG Hi-Zack, and the figuarts Epyon, and now the MG Gouf. Have a few others I want to get. Great video!

      Once again it was really helpful and I would love to see more in the future
      I coated the polycaps with topcoat before building and it fixed all of the loose joints 👍🙂👍

      2008-2009 are the golden years for Master Grade kits. Even the high grades I've built from 2008-9 have been fantastic (Re-GZ, Kampfer, and Geara Doga). Bandai was on their A-game. Get yourself the master grade Zaku II, you won't regret it.

    I used to kind of hate the look of this kit, I’ve always preferred the the Gouf Custom. Buuuuut, after picking up some old Hobby Japan issues from 2009 and seeing some of the pictures in there of really nicely done builds of this model I’m starting to warm up to it. And also the amount of weapons included too! And I have the MG 2.0 Zaku II, which is the majority of this kit’s frame as well, I was hesitant to consider this model cuz I wasn’t sure if it had the 2.0 frame but it’s nice to see so.
    Edit: and to add on to what you said at the end, I have so many different Gunpla projects going on all at the same time and I am not even close to finishing any. I got the DM Deathscythe Hell TV which has been a NIGHTMARE to just put together so I just stopped working on it because it pissed me off so bad, things just didn’t wanna fit together. Then I moved on to kitbashing the HG Kshatriya and MG Sinanju, which was fun but it’s very tedious as I’m swapping armor and joints, which needs a lot of gluing and otherwise fabrication work, and then I started a sculpture of an Evangelion. So I’m also drowning in projects 😂

    You did an amazing job on this build - I can't even see the nub marks, it looks flawless. It took me probably over 10 hours to build this damn thing and clean it up. Fun fact I realized after having built it - the reason the waist rotation articulation is non-existant is that there are narrow channels cut out for the waist armor joints. Not the piping, or the waist armor, as I expected, but the channel cut out of the torso itself for rotation. It's not even 5 degrees in either direction. I suspect that shaving down this area would allow it to rotate quite a bit more. I may or may not modify this at some point. It would take quite a bit of filing, but fortunately, it's underneath the skirting sections and won't be visible. It seems they didn't want you to be able to turn the waist on the model, for whatever reason. I'm still curious what on earth you did to clean up the nubs on this because it looks perfect.

    Can you build a left hand inside of the one on the kit ?

    • @oeufski

      Yes, there are leftover hand parts to make a normal hand instead of the cannon fingers.

    How are the nubmarks on this kit? Thinking of getting it.

    • @oeufski
      @oeufski  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The nub marks have a tendency to be more visible with how dark the blue plastic is. However with a little care they are manageable. You could also use plastic glue to reactivate the plastic and get rid of the stress marks. All and all it’s a very fun kit and I wouldn’t let this dissuade you from getting it.

      @oeufski Update: I fixed it with putting a huge amount of super inside the polycap, and then I let it dry before putting both legs in. It worked perfectly fine.
