I love Edwin and his adorable naiveté, he really thought he had a chance at beating Will in a foot race, that was the funniest joke the entire episode and Ethan knew it too
*BEST EPISODE EVER* The Colonel is a true testament to why you have 2.5 million subscribers. I am truly impressed you got so many machines running for the same episode (not because they wouldn't run but because you often borrow from one to finish another). You should be very proud of everything you've done and know how much we appreciate it!
Especially given in the last podcast (recorded right after the Humvee journey) they told that no machine except the monster chopper was in working condition.
Note that of the three, three are extremely wholesome, at least two are soft hearted, one is wildly pure, one has production skills, and only one is a gearhead carrying enormous logs around in the forest.
A shirt definitely needs to be made with what Ethan said "Grindhard crossfit Co." With a silhouette of Ethan carrying a big ass log!!!! That would be sick!!!
The Barbie Jeep landing on it's back bumper and riding it out was the best! Love the new trail too, that's the kind of stuff my brothers & I did growing up before we had TH-cam and GoPro's. Awesome stuff guys. Would LOVE to race our Mini's once I get mine done.......
Yes totally agree its a very saddening realization to anyone above a certain age. (Not sure exactly what that age would be guessing somewhere in the late 20's to mid 30's wouldn't make that comparison an anyone younger that mid 20's would fit into the age group that would make that dumbass comparison.. but they did grow up on the games more than out in the real world when those above like maybe mid 30's actually knew what the real world was like prior to all the games taking over all of the younger generations time & energy &plus all of their focus yet some have been able to actually make a career/decent amounts of $$ just from playing some those games extremely well against other extremely good players.
I’m 26. Literally right on the cutoff between Gen Z and Millennial. I grew up basically in parallel with the information age (the internet may have been invented in the 80’s, but it really only took off globally and became available to the masses in the late 90’s/ early 2000’s), so I can fully appreciate the impacts it’s had on society and sympathize with the Gen Z perspective of growing up around all that. However, I also remember what it was like to not have those things. To tune into Sunday morning cartoons, pop in a VHS tape rented from Blockbuster, or call my friends house on the landline and ask his mom if he could come outside to play. Most of my free time as a kid was spent playing outside in the forest behind my street with the neighbor kids. Once people started getting modern game consoles you better believe we loved that shit, but it was always just another thing to do, not the default option. When we did play, it was always local split-screen on the couch. I still remember when my dad first set up this crazy thing in our house called “WiFi”, and brought home a tiny new device called an “MP3 player” that would let me download any play any music I wanted over the internet, without a disc. It’s weird to reflect on all that and think about how much will have changed for my kids one day.
@@danafaulhaber334 I'm 34 and compare things to video games when it fits. They were a huge part of my childhood, but it didn't consume me. I don't think games are the main problem really. It's the internet becoming a cesspool of profits that drive addicting algorithms and the quest to have consumers never put down their devices, think apple vision. Soon it will be inconspicuous and comfortable glasses and then there's no reason to ever disconnect, exactly what big tech wants. COVID keeping people inside and getting used to it being a comfort to not be social as well. Yeah idk. In some regards, sure, I agree more people could have experience with like, an Axe splitting firewood or whatever - but the reason I don't know if I think the concept IN GENERAL, is bad is that if a person wants to, they can in one night "experience" shooting a gun, flying a fighter jet, racing sportscars, using hand tools, a whole season worth of "farming", etc etc etc. So it will always sort of hold true. Simply because of how "accessible" having all of those "experiences" is, and in all there is nothing wrong with that - people who never saw snow video gaming snowboarding, people who never been to the sea racing sailing ships, etc etc etc.
Oh my god the colonel sounds so mean when its way in the background at 6:10! You should do a shot where youre on the grass looking into the forest and only hearing the muffled engine roar from inside the woods, emerging out from the woods on one og those jumps
I had seen you guys on #FabRats and was curious about the Hummers. So I watched your trek back to Idaho in it and enjoyed it very much. Subscribed and am working my way through your many videos. I realized watching this one that it reminded me of my son and his high school friends writing scripts and filming themselves back in the 90's (he's 45 now) and told him that they were basically doing TH-cam stuff before I even knew what it was. Thanks for the trip down memory lane. I'm in my 70's now and have always been a car person. A few trips to the dragstrip and I was hooked. LOL
I think Edwin might have been cheated! I counted 18 frames between when Will said go and when it looks like he presses start. At 30 frames per second thats 0.6 seconds. Add that to the time of 25.81 and you get 26.41! (For the record I don't think Will did this purposely lol) (Edit to add timestamp 25:21)
I would love to have this much land to do whatever I want with it because racing in your backyard is so awesome. Can't Wait for more videos Like the humvee coming back would love to see Some more Overland Adventure
This was awesome. I'm halfway done building a dirt bike track at my house with the exact same terrain. Thanks for the ideas, I wasn't sure if a skid steer would be enough to pull out all the tree stumps.
You guys are out there just absolutely living my dream as I sit at this desk working 😂 good on you guys. Absolutely love the channel and thank you for letting us live vicariously through you!
If I can be real honest, with some of the issues I've seen various TH-camrs have, I don't blame them for not. It's too easy for the creepy folks to track them down and show up like weirdos, honestly. Not saying that's the reason we don't see it, but I wouldn't blame them if it was. I'm curious myself but always assumed it just would have been part of it already if it was going to be, given they fly drones all the time
