    Sometimes a great way to detect if a person is a narcissist is to ask them about their past (e.g. childhood/growing up) and they tend to play a victim mentality or shift responsibility for habits they have now (obviously this is sensitive to begin with and someone wants to be tactful when asking questions). Thank you for your sound advice!

      Very good point, if you catch the victim or blaming or just general complaining or judging others. Pay attention to that, they’ll end up blaming you for their emotions too

      Man great answer! She was telling everyone that she has no friends in the past, etc and constantly blames others for her own responsibilities, e.g ("I may be late for the meeting but you should have taken down notes so that people can refer later.")

    Narcissists and toxic people on social media tend to post a lot of selfies often for attention and validation, they use others and don't care about giving to people. Always trust your gut feelings they never lie. This world needs a change. Also beware of ghosting, this is another form of manipulation, mind games and kind of abuse as well those toxic people do to others.

    Julie you nailed my 2 year relationship with a narcissist to
    a T. Mine even tried to take away all the things I loved like working out , bike riding , even down to my email address. She discarded me and I have no closer and that’s another one of there traits . I was so naive in the beginning but she was very good at her craft . All I can say is people watch out for the red flags these people are out there and their only intention is to hurt you , they get off on it .

    • @steveco1800
      @steveco1800 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes same, I'm only getting into a relationship in future if she appreciates I need to do things in life I love and not just serve her. One evening gaming per week with friends and a run or bike ride each weekend was an issue eventhough she had a daughter who could have had 1-2-1 time with her in the meantime. I don't think women always appreciate a man needs to be physically active and strong to feel happy - almost like a dog, it would be abuse to not allow it to exercise, and I felt like I was kept on a lead all the time with her. If she it's evident she isn't also thinking of your wellbeing, it's a big red flag she is using you and may not truly love you.

    I broke up with my girlfriend yesterday. It wasn’t easy because we are on our way to our 2 years anniversary. I am a bit toxic but she was beyond it by a long stretch. My girl even threw a knife at me once when we were in a huge argument and I dodged it! I just wanted peace when I come back home from work but she managed to add more drama into my life every time. My life became very shitty when I realize she wanted me to isolate my own families and friends. She also didn’t want to exercise and have new experiences like how I do. She hated when I was excelling but laughed and giggle when I couldn’t do things. My girl told me she used to get abused by her father and I used to feel sorry for her. But now that I know what I know, I deserve better than the bs that she put me through. I had to fight tooth and nail with her all for nothing. She apparently was seeing somebody according to my cousin with some Facebook investigation since I don’t have one anymore. I decided to call it off since she started ignoring my texts. When things got tough, I stay and work things out but for her she just up and leave. I felt so betrayed but I knew I had to let her go despite me wanting to ‘fix things’.

    Literally my current situation. Only thing she does differently is the isolation, she isolates but does it in a way that makes you feel bad for wanting to hang out with your friends. All my family is gone, I just have my daughter, and the one friend I do talk to prompts her to accuse me of being gay. Then she turns around and suggests I turn gay because I mentally check out and absorb myself in hobbies like books, games or hanging out with my daughter. She tells me I'M the toxic one, the narcissist. She pokes the bear,and pokes the bear until I snap then she plays the victim and says I'm tye toxic and abusive one. It's exhausting

    Looking back, I watched my mother do this to 3 husbands. Not only did she use her psychological operations (narcissistic) on the men, she used the divide and conquer tactic with their families. The husband would be fed misinformation about their kids and the relationships would suffer making him look to her for comfort.
    Now she has a husband she managed to pick up shortly after his wife passed and lives off his money and her handicapped sisters paycheck who is too mentally handicapped to realize what is going on and physically too disabled to do anything about it anyway.
    Karma, judgment, or whatever you want to call it is real. Rocko from ATL even made a deep song about it.
    I've got my popcorn ready like DJ Steve Porter’s song and stay far enough away to try to avoid the fallout. I don't want to get any of that negativity on me. It oozes out of them.

    The last was the best for me because many of her ex friends saw who she really was and they were the ones who got me out of the 12 year marriage, I was trauma bonded. Once I was finally able to just break free a little and finally see the forest through the trees I ran away and began working on myself. I will never make that mistake again. And yes it was my mistake why I got in to that joke of a marriage. I was just so desperate to get married. Now I’m happily all alone ;)

    Omg this is so true! I had an ex who i loved dearly and everything was great until it wasnt. And it got progressively worse.
    The first warning sign was when she was still paying her ex’s phone bill. I was blown away.
    The same ex she said abused her and did this and that: so why was she still paying his damn phone bill??!!
    Long story short, it ended up being the most painful experience of my life. This sweet passionate girl ended up becoming this monster.
    She left me to go back to the ex. Then would ask me for money to pay her rent.
    Then got with another guy who she said was abusive and cheating on her: yet hitting me up to “vent” and say how leaving me was a huge mistake.
    But then still go back to the guy.
    My head was spinning! I couldn’t understand how things were so perfect and ended in madness.
    Heed the advice, fellas.

  • @noelgibson5956
    @noelgibson5956 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Yep, I can concur. That was my ex wife to a tee. I was with her a year before walking out to prevent a heart attack.
    The abuse began about two weeks after the honeymoon, and was constant. Whatever I said or didn't say, or did or didn't do, it triggered an argument. My family and friends hated her, and she tried to cut me off from them.
    She made me look like such a fool and lousy judge of character that nobody in my family has since encouraged me to date again. They think I'm better off alone.
    ALWAYS get to know them properly before committing to marriage. See them in their true light in the real world:- do they get along with your friends and family? Do they get angry easily? Do they argue fairly without getting personal? Do everyday problems throw them off too easily, etc.
    If you know all this before committing, it's much easier to break things off if you decide.........no thanks!
    Never propose until you've seen every side. I can talk from experience.

      Hi Noel. Your comment has caught my attention. I was in a 6 years serious relationship with my ex gf. Whenever we're together she easily gets angry even when we're just having a normal conversation. She's super nice to her friends but to me she's always angry. She frequently has night outs with her friends to a party, also loves going on holidays outside the country with her friends and she would always fail to be in touch with me for a few text messages or minutes of call.

    That’s my beat-down-old-man but then I cut him off because he never fathered me and I know that the issue of relationship with him that he would always have problems gaslights, can never take responsibility, and can’t take any accountability on his actions, and also would project their own personal feelings and emotions then it goes on you and it turns into a problem and becomes a nightmare and don’t know how to get rid of the problems of their childhood traumas and then it becomes a problem, and he’s a destructive, narcissistic, and selfish person I didn’t want that anymore and he never put much effort in oh relationship as dad and son. But another thing too is that I love my girlfriend but sometimes I have to come to reality that I only have a few friends, and family they want me all the time but that’s not the case it can’t change I love her and I love her very much she may have her own shortcomings a lot of people do things she’s working on is jealousy, and that’s only it but I know there’s more than that sometimes she doesn’t know how to deal with hard conversations because she doesn’t know how to answer it because sometimes if she says something that maybe very unpleasant and etc.

    Look into what's called the cycle of abuse. Unfortunately, so many men find themselves addicted to it and keep finding the same abusive type of women over and over. All because they never fix the root cause of why they are attracted to that type. You have to break free and be single while fixing the root cause inside yourself before you can find a healthy woman in a healthy relationship.

    This is interesting info. I recently dodged a bullet with a woman who matched with me on a dating site. The first night of text I got the she's "full of s**t" vibe and kind of ignored her. The next morning I thought I was being overcautious and text her early evening apologizing for being curt. She text me immediately and proceeded to tell me all of her accomplishments then later into the text started texting what I thought to be inappropriate comments. She wanted to tickle me to see my smile? Seriously, this freaked me out considering I was basically ignoring her again. I finally started texting her substance and she stopped texting until hours later when she made an excuse for not responding. I found this to be hilarious because I just ended a friendship with a sociopath who had the same mechanisms in place. Thank you for your insight. It is valuable.

    A narcissist will tell you are…a narcissist and make you doubt your mental state and stability. Happened to me, she seriously manipulated me, used me to blow steam when she was having tough time with her husband. Now I know she married him just for his money, she isolated him from all his friends. She made me fall in love, she knew exactly what she was doing and when I made a step she accused me of trying to break her family up. I was a wreck because I believed that it was all my fault. I doubted my manhood too. Good news is I came out of this stronger than ever. Lessons learned, will never get played again. And stay away from married women even if she tells you she will get a divorce.

    You are right in everything here but this also applies for narcissistic men, not just women. But you said a little flaw that these people are hard to date. These people are impossible to date because they are not capable of love, even themselves. Relationships with these people are waste of time, money, resources, energy and even human potential if people stay in these relationships or tolerate, enable or otherwise advocate narcissist's behaviour. In the long term, people in these relationship are risking senility, dementia or Alzheimer disease. People who have children with these people are exposed to child abuse, setting unhealthy guilt, fear of abandonment and many other unhealthy traits. Narcissist's never change because they are unable to change because of zero self awareness, inflated fragile ego and lack of empathy. 485:7. 18/05/2023. 19:08. 8 521.

  • @Bredddi
    @Bredddi ปีที่แล้ว

    You should do a video on HOW to target your dating for WHAT kind of wife you want. Most men look in all the wrong places and also, speak about being honest with yourself about what you’re dating for. Are you dating for sex? For companionship? Or for marriage potential? Then you combine that with what your target home/family life is… do you want a stay at home mom? THEN move on to where to start your journey. NOT the bar. NOT college level organic chemistry. Too many men try to make homemakers out of women pursuing a strong career. Forget that. If you want a home maker, look to the farm community or your local religious community. You have to align your search WITH your values.

It's like she's blaming him for their divorce where maybe she's partially to blame so she won't let him go. It's actually dumb because I wouldn't want to give someone the satisfaction that they stopped me from enjoying life and finding a new person.

      While I get what you’re saying, many of us want to have a family and raise children so I think being selective with who you date and honest with yourself about what you want is key. You are not going to find a family woman at the bar. You are not going to find a stay at home mom at college. You might but she won’t come to terms with it until 28/29 and there is no way of knowing if she ever will, while you’re in college. Basically if you want a solid woman who has moxy but also feminine, Find yourself a cowgirl in the equestrian world, and or a farmers daughter. Best pickings there. Just take it from a guy who has been on over 100 first dates.

      @@thereald-goz3588 I completely understand your point and right it def is not for everyone, to each their own for sure. For me I wanted a family because in my religion I am called to procreate and prosper, and I have always been drawn to being in love. Once I became a parent it opened up a whole new spectrum of life for me and life took on a much greater meaning. But that’s just me. I totally respect your decision/stance too. I went through a very, VERY rough time as a simp in my 20’s trying to please women. I got married in my 30’s after I had to learn a lot of lessons the hard way about where to look and how to best fulfill my goals for what type of partner and life I wanted. Believe me I was alone for a long time with just my golden retriever, thinking over my failures in dating. Was engaged three separate times and had the ring thrown at me and locked out of my own apartment before I called it quits for years.
