As someone who is basically homebound at this time, your walks are so enjoyable and put me in such a good mood. Thank you Shinichi for taking the time and energy to film these scenes! Please never apologize for filming them. I even recognized the shops under the bridge and the park next to them from a previous video of yours! Say hi to Satoshi and may both of you have a pleasant week. ❤🛫🙏🌎

Thanks for all your content. It is not boring. Boring is being stuck inside for the last six months. Looking forward to Osaka and Kyoto vids

I haven't seen any of your videos to be considered boring. Each has it's own subject appealing to different audiences. But an Asakusa video boring? Not in my book. I have stayed there for a number of times, I have grown to love it.

I love these walks. They show so many parts of Tokyo you would never see if you just visit the popular areas. Long time I thought that Tokyo is just neon lights and traffic and shopping malls and massive crowds of people all in a rush. Through your videos I've learned so much about real Tokyo. I can only recommend to anyone who wants to explore a city to just walk around randomly and "get lost". There's always time later to visit the touristy spots (if you still want to...).
I always say: "You can find things only when you lose them and do not search for them " 😉.

Thank you for sharing this experience.
I love your walks. I first visited Japan in 1965. Went to Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, a place called Takarazuka (don't know if I spelled the name correctly) and all over. Stayed at little inns. The people who took us brought us to all kinds of little streets and restaurants. I liked the displays of the food available from the restaurants. They looked like rubber fish, vegetables, rice, etc. and looked like the real thing. We traveled on the fast train for a small part of my trip. I loved the whole experience.

I love walks that are also new for you because they’re definitely new for me. When traveling as a tourist I don’t usually take the time to wander around.
At the skytree there is also Sumida Aquarium, the first aquariums you see were Aquascaped by Takashi Amano san. His beautiful nature aquarium style stimulated a world wide enthusiasm for Aquascaping and home aquariums again, we regard him as one of your national treasures of the aquarium world.

Hi Shinichi! I grew up in the Detroit area of Michigan here in the United States. During the warmer months, we would hang our laundry out to dry in the yard. I loved the fresh smell of my sheets especially! Now, so many subdivisions don’t allow you to hang your laundry out to dry. You’ll be fined if you do. Thank you for all your videos. They’re a pleasure to watch. ❤️

How interesting to discover the river park and the fishing area! I bet Satoshi would love to go there when it's cooler. It was fascinating to read that fish caught in those areas are weighed, the fisherman is awarded points by weight which may be redeemed for prizes, and then the fish are returned to the pond after a rest so that they can be caught again!
Btw, I think the vining plant you asked about is a variety of wisteria. I may be wrong.
None of your videos are ever boring, Shinichi. In this video alone I learned about urban fishing, dashi in vending machines, and model home showcases in the middle of Tokyo. Cool! Much love to you (and Satoshi and Justin). Keep filming any video you wish and we'll watch them. ❤️

hi Shinichi. love this video. never mind about the other one. if anyone hung their clothes out where i live, you could probably guarantee that it wouldn't be there when you check on it. where i live there are a lot of flats with no gardens. its nice to see you out and about. we don't have a mandatory thing to where masks outside, only if you go in shops, restaurants, etc. we have 4 stages of recycling. plastics, paper and cardboard, glass, and garden waste. everything else goes into general waste. well the weather here in the UK has now changed towards autumn. its started to get colder, and the trees leaves are starting to change colour.

Hello there, thank you so much for such an interesting video. When we come to Tokyo from California, we always stay at the Moxy hotel right by Kinshicho station, on the other side. I suppose there are better areas to stay, but that station is very easy to navigate, convenient , and that area is very fun. I am very familiar with this area and that Daiso in particular. As a matter fact, that was the very first Daiso I visited and mall in Japan. That walk was amazing, seeing the small homes next to the shops and restaurants in the back alleys. Brought back such good memories. That’s the real Tokyo in my opinion. Thank you! Can’t wait for next year to visit and maybe duplicate that walking route. Cheers!

Hi hi! Hope your day is going well...I love your walks! Finding all kinds of little gems....we do hang laundry, well some people do. When I was growing up, we hung our laundry. I would hang my laundry, if I had a place a to. I don't think that is a a real river/creek. As you were walking I could see drainage in the bottom. Or it may have been originally a real river, but they paved it over for whatever reason...So far my day has been nice. I got up earlier than normal. Which is good for me! I can get more done. A vending machine for dashI? That is so funny! I love oolong tea.The summer has been whacko! I missed so much. No fireworks. No hanging out with loved ones,...I can't wait for this covid-19 thing to be under control. However things will not be the same and in many ways, I think that's a good thing. I really think that wearing a mask when you are sick is a good thing. Nice park! Wow..that is a nice walking bridge. Please tell me you are taking the train home! Lol long walk! Thank you for taking us along on your walks!
