Walking starts in Kabukicho, Tokyo during a light thunderstorm in the evening. Binaural sounds of the residential side of Tokyo mixed with the sounds of thunder and rain hitting the umbrella. Really enjoyed making this video. As you can tell, I really didn't know where I was going. Realized people in Japan don't use their horns as often as people in NYC. Use sounds for entertainment, sleep and relaxation.

Ive been in Japan for a while. I can tell you in big cities its all about technology and flashing lights. Yet, its still a very quiet and serene place if you are away from the center. Osaka is much louder. If you dont want any flashy stuff visit Kyoto there are many temples and calm walks.

You don't see this in these video's but in my time in Tokyo in the busy area's there are groups of people who go around and pick up trash. Not sure if they are volunteers or what, but I'd often run across a group of 4 to 8 people that pick up trash in the city. There are very few trash cans as well from what I noticed, which makes it more surprising. Some of the lesser traveled back alleys though are a different story.

I get so nostalgic everytime I see a video like this, I studied japanese in Japan for 2 months back in 2017, I lived in Saitama and my school was in Shibuya. I can tell it was of the best times in my life. Now I'm studying International Relations so I can probably work as an ambassador there in the future. Love Japan from Argentina ♥

@@robertatuck1533 I think it's pronounced "Kampai" and you're right. It means "cheers" in Japanese. I've never been to Ireland but as I lived in Yorkshire during my uni years, I can imagine how great Ireland must be if it was anything like Yorkshire. Japan's climate is nice and dry but when it rains, it's an experience, I can tell you.

31:25-31:30 the aesthetics in these few seconds are just so gorgeous and warming. The perfect placement of the eerily beautiful fogged mirror, the almost out of place yet in perfect place palm tree, the calming color palettes of the flowers, the black and white contrast, the shine of neon lights, and the slight feeling of introversion from the rain have made feel a sense of calm I haven’t felt in awhile. I swear my brain automatically started playing lo-fi music as soon as I saw the mirror lol Thank you for the mini journey you just took me on. I hope to find myself in your shoes one day❤️
