Pittsburgh Vaydor- Lots of Quarantine Progress

- Over the last couple months we’ve gotten a lot done on the Vaydor, the taillights have been tinted and installed along with all the rear trim, the vehicles been lowered, the dashboard and seats are in along with a good bit more.

If it's only scraping the splitter area and not actually in danger of cracking the bumper, you can just put some Rubber Slip Lo along the front splitter and rear diffuser.
That'll definitely be a lot cheaper than Air-Suspension!!!

Broski, you’ve got to get the wheel and tire setup fixed. Either go with a 20" and high profile tires, or 22" with lo pros.

22” are what it’s made for. But I did some calculations and if he goes 21” then he can run a sidewalk that isn’t to thick or thin because on 22” the side wall will be very thin because that’s how the designer wanted the car to be. And if he goes 20” then he would have to much sidewall to fill in the wheel well were it won’t look good.
yeah he needs bigger wheels to kinda fill in that empty space, plus will prevent a bit of scraping.

@@ADaikii I agree with both of you, I personally think glossy looks better, but it's not my car, it's his, and if he personally likes matte then he can keep it matte because I can't honestly do anything about it.
also if you go to his youtube page, the banner car appears to be his car, but glossy, so I believe he'll prolly make it glossy in the end.

If you run a bagged suspension it’ll just add more complications and weight....also run bigger wheels. You need at least 22” wheels all around. It’ll add more clearance to the front and give you more to play with the coil over.
Nice man! glad to see the progress update. Just gotta get that inside sorted and for some reason the blue bars at the front really bug me. Maybe you need to paint them black to fit the build or get a bigger grill to cover them up?

Fan of your work. My opinion, think of you're driving. If you're a hard driver, you might want to stick with aer sidewall. It's what I would. Including bags and a forward mounted back-up camera.

In the future please get rid of those yellow blinkers and replace them with parking sensors 😂
You need blinkers for it to be street legal, plus parking sensors would be kinda hard to install due to the fact you would need to hook them up to a software that can incorporate them.

You should use a hole saw bit...not a spade bit...to cut holes like that. Far more gentle.

he probably will, the main thing is he has practically all the major things done, and his next video (if he ever posts lol) will probably be all the last refinements, getting all the extra paint in, finishing the interior, getting new rims+wheels, registering it, and whatever else he wants to do (could put in an infotainment system, air ride system, make a custom working convertible hard top, most of these are things really talented people have done with their vaydors but it's kinda endless on how much you can add)

vaydor no longer sell kits they have sold the company and now they sell premade ones for 100k plus 100% not worth it
It's $24,000 for the kit, interior kit, predone upholstery, without the amani forged wheels, which I wouldn't get, I'd get seperate compatible 22" wheels, due to the fact that $6,000 on rims is just too much. Then you're going to spend $5-10k on the car, and then if you don't know how to weld about $400-$1000 to weld, or at least buy a welder for yourself, except if you don't already have a welder I'd just source it out because it'd be cheaper overall rather than buying a whole new welder. You're going to probably spend at least $800 in rims, the best cheap 22" rims I could find were $200 each (22" diameter, 9" width, 5-144.3 bolt pattern, and an offset of 35) and then another $211 a tire for 265/40 22" meaning a total of $844 in tires. Then for misc parts I'd add another $2000, for camera rear view mirror (like the c8 has because it's impossible to see out the back of this car), various bolts, paint, fiberglass, and anything else you need on the way. So the cheapest total you can expect is $39,000 roughly. Most people outsource a TON of the work, and if you get a lot of people to do a lot of the work for you, and if you add a bunch of extra stuff and not going barebones you can expect $40-$50,000

Any tips/tricks you can give for installing those door hinges?
If you youtube it you can find lots of different lamborghini hinge installation tutorials, but if you actually have the kit in hand the instructions should give decent instructions on how to, if not you kinda just gotta think about it and plan it out and then just do it.
@@pizzasounds3387 well I have this exact same kit and I can't find any videos on it. I think I have enough flat surface to where I won't need to weld that metal plate. So just tap it?
@@anthonysaiz I'd say do the metal plate either way for a couple of reasons. 1. It'll reinforce the doorhinge making it less "wobbly" because the door hinge kits like this can sometimes be a bit wobbly. 2. It'll guarantee you have the surface area to be able to tap in the whole doorhinge into. 3. if you tap it straight to the frame and it doesn't align right you just tapped holes into the frame that if it doesn't align right you'll have to weld them shut either way. 4. If it messes up you can always get a new piece of metal and angle grind the welds on the one you welded on, doing no damage to the frame because you can't really get a new frame. 5. It's guaranteed to be flat, which means it'll be easier to make it flush making it easier to align to the actual locking mechanism in most cases. Obviously I'm going off of this guys car because I haven't bought a vaydor yet, but I'd watch his doorhinge installation and then modify it for your own vaydor to work. th-cam.com/video/1XGx6ilymuk/w-d-xo.html. Lastly the main thing is you want it to align right so when it's done the door will always shut in place right and so that the gaps look consistent, the main problem with lambo door hinges like this is they're very finnicky and you have to get it very very perfectly aligned to look right and function right so it doesn't become a pain in the butt just to open and close your door.
Edit: here's another video th-cam.com/video/uNdrTCPJtdk/w-d-xo.html that gives a good idea of what to do, and if you don't want to watch it you basically should assemble the door enough to be able to adjust for gaps by putting it up on the car, tape the door to the car enough to hold it in place and adjust it until the gaps are right and then see if the hinge will align with it or not, if it doesn't you might need to put a metal plate to make it flush with the door to open correctly.

if you end up buying the kit (which I would only recommend if you're ready to put a lot of time and effort into), have a decent knowledge on cars, bodywork especially, know how to weld or have the money to hire someone, have a decent amount of basic tools, have a lot of patience, and if you do decide to order it it comes with a decent set of instructions to tell you how to do all the steps (kinda like a really big expert level lego set)

I get that the vaydor used the g 35 frame but why keep the motor it's pointless to keep the same motor if like go all the way don't half step get a 5.3 stroke it or 6.2 ls something the v6 in this thing is just asking for you to be laughed at it's not a g 35 anymore it's a VAYDOR !! put a big boi engine in I mean it cannot be that expensive FOR A V8 OR TRICKED OUT 6 LIKE THEY HAVE IN THE 2021 ford gt...it's like a bad joke 🤣 I gotta supercar with my 3.5 in it put a titan motor or something else 😂

first off its $15k + g35 price (usually can get em around 5k) so 20k at the cheapest kit, which is body kit only. For everything (exterior body kit, interior body kit, lambo doors, amani forged wheels, and the g35, its $34,900. Then to straightpipe, and even engine swap to a v8 you'd be at $45k.
Secondly, it's not plastic, it's fiberglass. That is the same material that corvette, lambos, and even porsches use fiberglass, due to it simply being exterior panels that don't give much strength to car anyways, (that's what the frame is for).
Third, it's personal preference, and I would much rather have this than a C4S because this seems like a lot more fun to drive, and in theory should get better mileage than a C4S, and if anything breaks is cheaper to repair than an overpriced Porsche part, due to the g35's being very abundant and cheap to find parts of.
Lastly, despite it being $35k ish, if you sell the panels you take off from the g35 you can get around 1-3k from all of those alone lowering the cost even more.
Also this car looks cooler, sounds cooler, and is overall more limited and I would say even more luxury than a porshe c4s. Sure looks and crap don't matter, but then again it's not like you're going 100+ mph on a road anyways because the most roads usually go to is like 75mph, and if you want to catch eyes then this is for you. Last also would be it's a kit car, which can even be fun for some people to put together.
