Tip Unless it’s a track only car you will want to basically close off those fender vents. As cool as they look they’re an absolute nightmare on road cars especially in the wet with an open cockpit. At the very least you should fit a deflection shield to duct the road grim away from them so it doesn’t spray out. BUT It’s looking really good 👍 Another tip The ordinary masking tape it is really terrible for fine work and the glue is horrible to get off if it’s left on for more than a few days. So it pays to use the expensive coloured stuff as it bends better, removes easier and the glue usually doesn’t turn into stone.
Thanks for the update, I've missed you! As mentioned below, your attentian to detail is top notch and keeps me wanting to watch, Oh and the car is a big attraction too! British Grand Prix Quali is about to start. Daughter & grandson are there and it's raining.
Hi Dan great to see you back have missed your videos cars coming along great this would have been my dream build but at 71 to old now look forward to the next one Kind Regards from Liverpool England.
Wise not recessing. I know all too well the "pucker" moments. On my Hurricane Cobra I angled the dash slightly to mount a heater (mounted center so I could use a glove box) so now I have to trim the cowl very slightly.
Dan it has been a minute. Looking soo sharp, You must be very excited to get her on the road? Hope to see you at the Newington Mall I will be bring our 67 ElCamino, weather permitting.
That could work. But I’d have to figure how to ‘finish’ the edges of the square hole so it blends with the bodywork. The vents I used are designed to sit on top but I have seen aluminum vents that could be mounted from below.
Watching such craftsmanship is a pleasure to behold
🙏
That this channel haven't picked up momentum yet, is unbelievable!! Should be 100K+ by now... Super cool and qualitative content!
To get more subscribers he'd have to release videos much more frequently.
Man, this is just beautiful. The attention to detail is fantastic!
It's getting close Dan. Looks great. The interior and lights really look really clean.
Looking good Dan, I was more nervous watching the headlight covers going in! Looking forward to the next one!
OMG that looks truly stunning, great work buddy 👍😎
Fascinating video Dan, thanks again. Great skills.
been missing this build

GO DAN GO!!! Cheers from Italy!!!
Fantastic attention to detail as always Dan

I love your attention to detail. This will set apart your build against others. Thanks for sharing your journey.
Your reply is exactly the same as mine was going to be! Attention to detail is certainly above and beyond the norm.
27:40 looks like NFS video game intro LOL Great work!!
I love everything about this project except the occasional patriots gear making an appearance. 😂
Great work Dan
Ha ha. You can take me out of New England but you can’t take the New England out of me. Lol. 👍
Your Dremel tool skills are the best I’ve ever seen. Those lines are amazingly straight.
Off the top of my head, I think that's a great idea, because that area will see flex.

That was a great idea to make the gap even around the headlights. Very clean!
Powder coating the headlight gloss black was a great idea, it really looks great!
You could use a straight edge and wood router to machine the front clam to recess the wheel-well vents
Yes, but there are complex curves on the bodywork. I'd have done the same as Dan!
Yes that’s why the straight edge needs to be something like plastic ruler…so it flexes while still guiding the router
Car is looking amazing but you need to get those vents recessed, they look so much better when they are. Use a Dremel sanding bit and take your time.
I'm a big fan of front clam.

Love the carbon on black! Would you be able to swap the low beams for HID projectors? I don't mind LED, but I'm a sucker for good ol Xenon.

Hope to see you there!
@@DanDulac Thanks for the reply you will I think.
Can you change those centre buttons please?! Have D on the left, P in the middle and R to the right?? 🙏😝
That’s an easy change! 👍
@@DanDulac No like, can ya? As in, they'd look better 👍🤣
What do you think about under mount fender vents?

all good, but why high beams are outside, and low beams on inside?
Great question! But this is how they came from the factory. I suppose I could swap them on the brackets as I believe they are identical diameter. 🤷♂️
