E11 I Am Going to Build My Own Bespoke Kitchen

In the renovation of my guest apartment I am going to build a small kitchen, and I will create it from wooden planks. This will be a test to see if I can build my own kitchen for the main part of the house. To fresh up my carpentry skills I went away for a weekend on a course to learn about kitchens for period homes, a both theoretical and practical couse. It took place at Nääs castle in Sweden with a special history, that is somehow connected to my own house.

What a place and what a workshop! It reminds me the year I passed my certificate of professional competence; we learned how to use all these woodworking machines; it was fast and "easy" but now I work alone in my little workshop with my small tools, it's harder to make such elaborate furniture...

That thought crossed my mind, but I have had my eyes open for used and old machines on local auctions and I have almost the full collection now. But I have plenty of workshop space. It's worse when your space is limited 🤷‍♀️
