My Vudoo is 5/8x24. If you order threads you get them. By the way, i found you to be a very knowledgeable young man. You don’t need all the profanity to emphasize a point. Hopefully, as time goes on you will get better.
As Robert Montgomery Knight once said their is no other word in the English language that has so many different meanings. I like someone who is comfortable is talking how they want to talk with zero fucks given. Ha.
Agreed. Switched off his video when all the crap talk started, grandkids don’t need to be hearing all that crap. Every other word was f this f that. He will grow out of it someday Hopefully
I was really interested in that Tuner but once the language became gratuitously foul I turned it off. Hope this isn't indicative of the young shooters that will replace us old guys.
I would think more handloaders would love this thing. Run up to a charge weight you want for ES/SD, load to mag length, and then tune the load and you’re done. Easiest load development ever.
I have a RAS Tuner Brake, Harrels Tuner brake, and a Ezel Tuner. A tip in working with a tuner is to work up loads with the tuner screwed all the way to the rear. After you have determined the most accurate load, then start moving the tuner, and the biggest mistake that people make is to move the tuner with too many clicks. You are working with a bell curve when working with a tuner. Groups are open, they close up gradually, then peak at their tightest, then start opening up again. This method ensures predictability and repeatability. Shooting a great group amid a bunch of bad groups should be discounted. ON your final tuner adjustment that shoots great, a very final, tiny load adjustment can result in a one hole group. Horizontal group means adjust seating depth Vertical group means add a tiny bit more powder(.2g) or use a hotter primer.
Love your review, I have been using the TMB by without warning on a rifle you may not have heard of an Lithgow Arms LA105 Woomera 6.5 creedmore. I absolutely love the tmb makes my shots so much easier to follow up and see my hits. Oh I am Aussie and biased to anything aussie designed. Keep up the swearing as I it makes you normal and genuine. Cheers
You can get awesome results with the new V2 EC TunerBrake Really enjoyed the video. I shoot f-class so can only use the V2 tuner. That I can tell I get awesome results. EC Tuner you only need a wrench to put it on because of the design you can turn it with your hand on the fly.😮
I have been using tuner breaks for about 3 years now. I went through the same thing you did. The groupings opening and closing as you adjust is exactly how it's supposed to work. Makes the bullet ride the harmonics a bit different. Now I work up a solid load. Get the seating depth / powder load that creates the tightest groups then make it even tighter with the tuner. Makes me chuckle when someone else goes through the "Holy Shit" moment when discovering that tuners actually work, just like I did 3 years ago.
Great review, man. Thanks for putting good info out there. I just recently got a Gen III Fat Bastard + an ATS tuner, but haven't got around to testing them out together yet. By the way, I paid more for these 2 things together than the price of this thing.
Thanks for the video, very well done. The F bombs are really weak, you have such great talent, no need. Just my opinion, you are welcome to do as you please. I always tell the good and nit picky. Cheers! Well done once again.
Can you tell me, when removed after you have confirmed that it’s shooting amazing. Is it repeatable when you place it back onto the muzzle? Basically from on to off and then on again does it stay perfect?
tuners do work but only to improve good shooting in the first place. if you can't shoot at least 1MOA all day long don't waste your money on tuners spend it on shooting lessons :) personally I prefer the tuner/brake combo , it just looks better when installed check out Harrels tuner/brakes and let us know what you think of them ; very well machined piece of equipment and decent price😀
So, full disclosure I jumped through a lot, but watched the whole thing. If it really works, take your best “flat node” and your worst and shoot a 15 round group with both. You still don’t know if it really works yet. Your sample size is too small. Dm me and I will back it up with bullets for my own curiosity.
I can definitely try to do something like that. I like that idea. Same gun same everything. I might be able to get it done in a couple weeks. I just don’t want people to say I should’ve done 20 round groups or 30. Some people are just never satisfied.
@@Covertnoob5 Good test & all. Thank you for the effort & expense. It's not like this kind of testing costs didley these days. I do agree with The Longshot Project though. For me, it's not confirmation whether tuners have an effect or, that they can be made to work or not but, 3 shot groups really don't tell much of a story at all. Trouble is, guys put way too much inference on the group size changes between tuner adjustments, not realizing that a 4th or 5th shot is more likely than not to blow the group out. I don't think it's necessary to use 10 shots per during tuning however, I do think it very necessary to confirm the setting you have chosen.
@@Covertnoob5 Thanks man. To clarify, if you do test the chosen setting with 10 shots, that is statistically far more robust than 3 shots. Also, with 10 shots, the group will almost certainly get larger but, this is not the issue &, it is definitely not a problem however, if the tuner setting is good, that 10 shot group will look very good when compared to your previous groups with that rifle before the tuner. Comparison to previous groups is in essence, comparing previous data & is perfectly valid. If the 10 shot opens up though, it's a sign that the 3 shot group you based the decision on wasn't so trustworthy as it appeared &, not to be assumed that the tuner doesn't work. Looking fwd to see the result.
I believe the methodology was sound given that he was looking for consecutive good groups at different settings just like can be done with velocity node. Consider that part 1. Now just set the tuner in the middle of node and go shoot a 10 shot group for validation.
Young man...this is your grandma talking....go wash your mouth with water and soap!!Every 5words include cursing and swearing👹👹😉 Yo bro this is me talking....thanks for one of the best reviews ive seen about muzzle brakes👍👍👍
People see whatever they want to see. Moving the adjuster in or out a few thou at a time has zero effect. If anything makes a positive difference, it's the weight of the tuner when it's screwed on the barrel. After that, comparing 3 shot groups, is all in your imagination.
@@rotasaustralis and which tuners did you test? I’ve used this one, the ATS tuner, and EC tuner. They all work. I’ve taken the tuner off swapped for a regular brake then put the tuner back on same setting and it makes a difference. It’s not something I wanted to see, I say in the review if you actually pay attention, I was as skeptical as anyone. But it flat works. How do you explain consistent groups then big groups same rifle same load same shooter same range session. If you don’t see it in your setup, then look to your reloading practices, your rifle, or your ability as a shooter first. There’s a reason a good amount of top competitors are now running a tuner of some sort.
@@Covertnoob5 Used an F class style adjustable weight with no brake. The initial weight definitely changed POI & seemed to make a positive improvement in repeatability. After the initial weight effect, the small adjustments were statistically indefinable on target until the weight was all the way out which was a little over 1/2" where the POI changed again & the groups seemed to open up shooting multiple 5 shot groups. Although the number of groups was not enough to make a statistically valid determination, I fired more shots than most testing I've seen & read about &, that's really the point. There's little doubt that the addition of a substantial mass added to the end of a barrel has a generally positive effect as well as a measurable POI change however, the effect of movement of that mass due to tiny increments is difficult to believe given the miniscule difference in calculated reaction force on a cantilever beam &, my initial shooting results supported those calculated differences. I think it would be more beneficial to test different tuner weights rather than moving the mass a few thou at a time. That will be my next lot of tests.
The EC Tuner Brake is $250 or less. $100 less than that junk you are pushing. It is much better in so many ways and it looks good too. Keep using your junk and all those with brains will look at the EC Tuner Brake and if they have any sense unlike you, they will save over $100 have a better more efficient tuner brake that looks good, works better and is not a big lump of weight on the end of the barrel.
Lmfao OR you could actually try an EC brake and realize while the tuner works, the brake portion isn’t nearly as effective. Try actually shooting guns instead of your mouth on the internet you idiot.
