I'm sold! I've been watching the way you guys manufacture you're products. Between requesting feedback from your customers and professionals in the industry as well as hiring young and enthusiastic dudes who understand modern technology (CAD and Fluid dynamics!!!) ....Man, all I can say is I'm sold!!! The MDT team is kicking butt. Oh and I should add that the products look cool as HELL!!!! I've been searching to buy a brake (for my .308) for almost 3 weeks and I've literally researched a dozen already. The stand outs were the Apollo Max, VG6 Lambda, VG6 GAMMA 762, and the MDT Comp. Well, I think MDT has got them all beat - performance wise as well as looks. The MDT comp brake just looks so dang cool, lol. Anyways - enough of my rant I'm going to the site now to pick this up, lol. It's going to look awesome on my setup (which is sitting on the even cooler LSS chassis) Good day to you all!
As new in the world of hunting, can anyone explain to me or to others about the sizes and diameters of muzzle brakes of various rifles. What is the right size of a specific rifle to make it more effective.
It honestly looks like an impressive tool for an add on. Just really curious if the added help at cost, is worth it for an AR15 or meant better for higher caliber rifles??
How does this compare to Precision Armament Hypertap's 84% recoil mitigation? This seems more like you wanted some recoil reduction and blowback to arrive in the avge range for both areas. Why would I purchase this? I'm looking for a Ruger 6.5 cr and many 223s.
Not only does this brake give you recoil reduction it will also help mitigate muzzle rise. We do offer a 30 day return policy for you to try it out and if you are not satisfied, you can return it us for a refund.
@@MDTTACdid you guys at least measure these claims? I'm looking for at least 20 breaks and want to get it right the first time, just incase we tap them on.
It's only planned to be offered in the MDT green at this time but please make sure to fill out our product request form to let us know what you would like to see us offer in the future - mdttac.com/product-request/.

I don't think anything can beat the Apollo Max. I have used multiple brakes on the market and I have found even this MDT comp isn't ideal for the shooter because of the comp ports directing gas into the shooters line of sight. Just what I have experienced, the Apollo has my vote.
I just installed a muzzle brake on my Ruger American 22-250,,😅 The gun is so light. That it use to jump..Now it is very nice to shoot..The only problem now!!! No one wants to shoot with me,,Because it so loud 😪..
If I were to install this break on a rifle that already has a load developed, would I have to redevelop the load again? Rezeroing I’m not concerned about. That’s easy.
Yes - when adding weight to the end of your barrel, you change the harmonics, which will most likely influence the group size. Playing with seating depth can get you a long way though!
That’s what I was afraid would be said ha! It’s like one of those questions you already know the answer, although you’re desperately hoping it’s not true.

What if each port had slightly different angle instead of all 4 ports the same 15 degrees or whatever that is. Looks like 15 -25 degrees? Example 1st port: 0 degrees, 2nd port:5, 3rd port 10, and last port 15 degrees. Would love to hear from MDT.
@@MDTTAC Thats cool that u DID try that ! Well ,now we know 👍👍👍 Also is it possible to make a magnetic, pneumatic,or hydraulic muzzle brake? I just thought of that

Wow these guys go hard in the manufacturing of their products
Great Work MDT! love the powder testing / blast etc :D
......hard at it to achieve the best !!! - Thanks MDT - We'll remain true to your quality products fer sure !!!
Another excellent video from Team MDT
Ordered!
Perfect, hope you enjoy it!
I tried a different brake on my precision rifle and it lost zero. Won't messing with the settings on this brake do the same thing?
Excellent no one thinks about mitigating rearward concussion. Does it come in 14x1 LH threads?
Thank you, it does not.
@@MDTTAC would love to put this on an AK, hope you guys consider 14xl LH threads for the future
Make one with a built in adjustable barrel tuner.
I went to look for one but no 9/16-24 RH thread option
You guys should do a titanium version with no top port plate for hunting applications.

what is the angle of inclination in the jet nozzle to remove gases?
Each port has their own angle size. It starts off wider at the end and gets smaller as you come closer to the end of the barrel
It honestly looks like an impressive tool for an add on. Just really curious if the added help at cost, is worth it for an AR15 or meant better for higher caliber rifles??
It depends on if you are needing more recoil management to help you with those follow up shots

@@maartenvrnice! Could I get the information? Like recoil mitigation?
@@NSWvet83 Yes we should be able to share that, Please contact our customer support.
I like the MDT Comp Brake.
But using a pendulum test is not the best way to test it in my view.
A rail test would be so much better!
Why Green..?
Will u have them in black

Does the muzzle brake change POI?
Changing or adding anything to your rifle changes the barrel harmonics, and the point of impact can change.

Well small slip. There is no Tuner on it. That would have made it spot on.
It's possible we may look into tuners in the future.
