I agree with you about wanting to see a more angry and vulnerable Valentina for much longer due to all the trauma her mother inflicted on her & Luiza taking charge and going head to head against Catarina during the custody battle. That should have been the whole thing of Season 3. It honestly seems like the whole plan for the show wasn't mapped out really well. Apparently they had always planned for 3 seasons but if that's the case, then why create too many storylines knowing that they wouldn't be able to fit it all in such short episodes of 3 seasons? There was no need to create all this drama with Catarina and make her so horrible if they were just gonna "redeem" her in 2 episodes. That was simply lazy. The production still had a chance to correct some flaws and end the show properly by confirming a 4th season (and perhaps a Wedding + Honeymoon Special). The actresses were committed, the fans and the demand were there but no 🙃. They basically said screw the show, the 2 protagonists & all the SW fans around the world who contributed massively to their success.

💯💯💯💯💯💯. Yup, somewhere along the way, their vision for the show broke down. It became less about telling the story and more trying to give fans the sweet moments they thought we wanted.
🤣🤣🤣🤣Exactly. I don't know what their original intention was with Catarina because they really set her up as the main big bad and then switched up on us. I think part of the problem is that when you spend so much time with the script and characters, in workshops etc. You understand the story so well that you forget that viewers who haven't spent nearly as much time hearing your internal logic as to why Catarina is making the switch, will need more than just that one explanation and few minutes of video to feel differently. The storyline itself is plausible, Catarina realized her behavior is due to deep seated trauma and repented. It's just how it played out on screen that's the issue😂😂.
I'm honestly not sure what their reasoning is for not continuing with Season 4 of SW. I leave some room for the simple fact that being human, sometimes your creative interest shifts and you want to try something new or get invested in something new. I've heard a number of explanations from conflicts with the actresses schedules to budget issues. Currently, I'm willing to give PA the benefit of the doubt that they aren't intentionally trying to disregard their fans and they at least tried to end SW well. Tried being the operative word😂😂😂.
I hope they do better in the future, pace themselves and finish what they start well.
I blame BOTH of them for making me want them to be a real life couple! 🤣

Yes, the way they abandoned rising conflict was frustrating. Especially since they set up such great initial conflicts. The Valentina lying thing wasn't too bad, because multiple episodes Luiza was distant because she was feeling the lies. The way she healed by talking it through with everyone was good. I think we just needed one more episode where Luiza had "forgiven" Valentina but still was distant because the trust wasn't back yet, and Valentina doing something to earn that trust back. But then the secret keeping "surprise" was dumb, and actually should have caused more conflict than it did, lol.
Also, the Catarina trying to steal Leo story was waaay too short. That should have been the entire conflict for season 3. With Luiza representing them, Catarina attacking the fact that Luiza's memory loss made her unfit, and conflict created in some moments between Luiza and Valentina, and Valentina and her brother because of the extreme stress of that situation. They wanted to give a resolution arc, but Catarina didn't deserve that arc. The one moment where she has that monologue talking to her mother and dropping the suit would have been her redeeming moment, and enough of one (though personally I maybe would have had it at her mother's grave, maybe?). Leave whether she succeeds in redeeming that relationship unsure at the end. More like a White Oleander redemption. That would have been a much more interesting season 3 arc.
Also that could have raised the stakes of the initial conflict, with Luiza desperate to remember because not remembering is going to lead to her child being taken away. But not being able to.
Maybe after the suit is dropped, that relief of not losing Leo (and maybe it coincides with Valentina having their daughter) can be healing for the loss trauma that instigated her memory loss, and she wakes up in tears the final morning of the series, remembering everything she'd lost.
Writers, why didn't you consult me? 🤪😂
@@ceceliam9014 your idea of Luiza getting her memories back gave me chills and now I'm mad all over again 😭 There was so much that they could have done, so many ideas, so much potential... Guess we will have to rely on fanfics but there's not even that much of those still 💔
@@pxxv5370Right? I'd also absolutely trust Reis and Buiar to portray that moment authentically. Honestly, their performances (and, let's not lie, *chemistry*) is one of the biggest reasons this show is so good. The had strong actors. It would have been fun to see Luisa take on Catarina, and Valentina find inner strength and confidence that her mother can't squash so easily.
I also think that wanting something different is true for so many series even great ones. I think in the last season, instead they decided to give us a happy depiction of family getting together and a sweet ever after. Which was also nice to see... But not ideal in terms of story structure. A 6 episode denouement is a bit much 😂

I also would have had Valentina cross the line of lying to Luiza about what happened. I imagine her talking to Igor and saying "she chose not to remember. She chose to forget so am I not going against her wishes if I tell her? If she wants to remember why doesn't she remember?" - I think it would capture both the sympathy and care as well as some feelings of betrayal and isolation driving Valentina to lie. I would have that lie lead to a worse case scenario, and have Catarina be the one to reveal that Luiza caused her miscarriage in an accident to Luiza. Then we'd get a bigger conflict between our leads (I don't think I'd have Luiza remember on her own after the accident, just know something was off - so when Catarina reveals it it's twisted for Luiza)
When Valentina finally managed to earn back Luiza's trust (not immediately) it would be by openly and honestly revealing her own pregnancy trauma, and the guilt she felt for being the reason Luiza got pregnant again.

Quick note, The actress who plays Duda, her name is Ingrid Pedroza so you are correct. Alice name is Ingrid Klug, so Duda and Alice happens to have the same first name 🤭🤭🤭 Stupid wife truly was special if you think about it. First you have the protagonists not only having the same first name, and the same first name as their director Pugliese, but also they’re friends in real life and happened to have taken the same courses at some point. Then you have the two Ingrid’s , then you have Marcelo (Igor) who worked already with either Buiar or someone in the cast (it could be Valeria, the actress who plays Jana 🙄😂) in a theater project or something. It’s really interesting, funny and cute in my opinion.

Im always confused how Buiar seems so shy around sexy or even just hint at sexineess in scenes , and how even Reis said she was the one really having to make sure Buiar was comfortable when I saw some of Buiar's older work on other webseries and they were way more revealing and intense sexually where I feel like Reis hasn't really done these types of scenes before so im jsut confused by that
