WOW, first time here and the channel's name isn't lying!! I've never seen someone put as much effort and attention into the details of a reaction as you do! When I saw the length of the video I thought it was a reaction to the first 4 episodes because I couldn't imagine what anyone could possibly say for 50 minutes of just the first episode that wasn't repetitive, but girl, you shut my mouth lol. Alright, first of all, Maya SURPRISED the heck out of me. I have to say that the cameo in SW did NOT prepare me for what I’m watching now. Natalia aka Manoela “Maya” Collins and SEX APPEAL and SENSUALITY go together. I think so far they did a great job casting the characters. The actress who plays Larissa is everything that is funny and good in this life… she reminds me of Duda x 100. Also, you’re right, the camera work has definitely improved and is completely different from what we’ve seen before.
1. Giovanna and Larissa = CHAOS but I’m soooooo here for it lmao Larissa is soooo funny man 😂😂😂 I don’t think I would be able to handle being in a room where Duda and Larissa are because the energy in that room 😂😂😂 The smack got me looking too, but I’m here for this friendship 😂😂😂
2. Bar scene: Kiara 🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️ My God. And you thought my bae Buiar aka Valentina can kiss (yes she will always be my bae), baby Giovanna and Kiara together, I CANNOT…. That whole bar scene for me sets the tone of the whole show but most especially sets the tone of who Giovanna is and what to look forward to about Giovanna and Maya’s relationship. I feel like I already know just by watching this scene how their relationship will be. Maya appearing out of nowhere, what an entrance for a character. The way she is dressed all dark gives BADASS. 9:52 I don’t think it was Kiara’s idea, I think she walked into the situation. Of course, since her situationship with Giovanna has that type of energy, she just then goes on to invite Maya in. The twisted part of me (and don’t let my bae Valentina hear this) thinks that’s what makes Kiara sexy as HELL. She knows what it is, she knows what her relationship with Giovanna is, she knows her place and she enjoys it for what it is and call it a day. I LOVE IT 🤭🤭🤭 10:59 I was expecting you to do a slow motion because Maya’s tongue is a whole other paid character in this show 😂😂😂😂 THIS RIGHT HERE🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️😂😂😂
3. The Love scene (cause I can’t use the other word): HOW THE HELL did they get this scene on TH-cam ? Oh I know how😂😂😂. It’s because Pri and Nat and Ponto Açao know what they’re doing. If you look, this is actually beautifully done because regardless of there being 3 women in a love scene, it’s still within the TH-cam guidelines of nudity and sex scenes. It’s not vulgar; more than it being a sex scene, it still falls within a Love scene with sensuality. Just BRILLIANT. If you look, they’re all 3 in their underwear and it didn’t come off not once. Even if it did, you still don’t see a nipple, you don’t see any indecent exposure. I think the photography team did their job with this and specially the lighting. Anyway… That scene, I was NOT ready for it to be in episode 1. Poor Kiara, I know she suggested the whole thing but Maya says “Um I’m taking control here. Thank you”. At some point you can tell that it was just Maya and Giovanna and Maya knew what she was doing. Bro Maya just makes me nervous 😂😂😂🤭🤭🤭🤭 She really does. The woman is really not scared of anything.
4. Morning after: That lipstick on the mirror is the sexiest thing for me😂😂😂 but then my OCD and clean freak moment get the best of me that like “Couldn’t you do it on a napkin though. Why my mirror” 😂😂😂 You mentioned something about Maya about the fact that maybe with her husband she doesn’t have a choice but to be submissive so that’s why she exudes so much power with people she seduces or has sex with. It’s kinda like that’s her moment to feel like she has control.
5. Office scenes: Seeing Natalie act again makes me smile and yes acting besides your boss and director must be weird 😂😂😂 I ain’t gonna hold you but Christopher Collins can get it 😂😂😂😂 That man is BEAUTIFUL. 🥰🥰🥰 36:26 Baby, Maya is a whole vibe. First of all, what a contrast. From being all badass wearing black jackets and boots in a club at night to now all wife like with a beige or skin tone dress with heels and more submissive. 2nd of all, what is THE TIMELINE? 😂😂😂😂 I know, don’t come for me, we all know how PA does with Timeline. but when did this little sex delight happen between the two? Because it’s giving last night to early morning which is the same day Giovanna went to the office and it doesn’t look like Giovanna slept before going to the office to meet her boss. Soooo, I’m going with the night before because according to google Itaipava is only a 30 min drive to São Paulo AND Maya was gone before Giovanna got up in the morning so my math is mathing for me😂😂😂 That elevator scene, like Ma’am your husband is like 2 feet from you and you’re just doing the most 😂😂😂 Poor Giovanna man 😂😂😂 She is screwed screwed 😂😂😂 And Larissa breaking into a song every time for every circumstance KILLS ME every damn time 😂😂😂
6. Dinner scene: I sure do the wine twirl, I’m a wine girl and I have taken a couple of classes which turned out to be the biggest surprises to me and how much I learned about wine. Now I’m that person who spends TIME looking for a good bottle of wine for pairing purposes, and yes I do the swirl, the sniff and taste , all of that 😂😂😂 Bro, I love the camera work on how Manoela aka Maya keeps appearing. It’s like you don’t know she is there and she appears out of nowhere. 49:52 You’re so wrong for that reaction but so right 😂😂😂 Like bro, if you only knew the kinds of things your wife did last night 😂😂😂 Maya is for the streets okay 😂😂😂 okay, I think Christopher does have something over Maya or maybe he is very possessive and that’s why she doesn’t react or can’t really do much whenever he comes onto her. OR maybe Maya has her interest being with him too and is planning something against him. Hey, what if Maya is an undercover cop 😂😂😂😂🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️ Part of me also thinks/feels like Christopher knows what Maya is doing in the streets and he is okay with it because it’s one of these “you can be with whomever you want but I own you and no one will have you” type of relationship. If I’m right, then I will love to see how that relationship evolves when Maya falls in love because I feel like Giovanna will be an exception to her list of conquests and Maya will definitely change Giovanna’s perspective on relationships. I just hope no one dies 😂😂😂 because if I’m right and you’re right, someone always dies at the end 😂😂😂

I've watched this episode a couple times now but I'm so glad I decided to watch your reaction to it. You've pointed out the little touches that does take this series to the next level that I didn't notice initially. I still have an issue with the overall pacing and more so with the intensity being stuck on level 10. Fortunately you've inspired me to keep watching past ep2 ❤ Great video ❤️
😊😊😊🤗. Lool, yes I have an issue with the pacing too and needing the rest of the story to be as interesting as the moments between Maya and Giovanna. I'm giving them a grace period of season one though and we'll see how things go. I loved, loved, loved episode three. Lots of nice, involuntary body language communicating their emotions beyond the point their conscious thoughts have been able to process.
Maya is a character who has reasons for everything she does. I read the fic and the longer the story went on, the more engaging it became. She is a character that I really like, she has many layers, I believe they will only be revealed at the end of the series (not the first season).

As ridiculous as this sounds, checkmate is actually a fanfic about lauren and camila!! Remember that girl group fifth harmony? Lauren and camila-camren like had some chemistry amd the whole fan base thought they were together and wrote fanfics about it, and camila cabello (yep,she became a freaking star of today) even tweeted about reading them and stuff...and this is one of THEIR fanfics!!! Yes, I found the threesome hot. There's chemistry and all, but for me there's something a bit off or missing. Maybe it's only me. I don't particularly like stories in which the characters betray someone, specialy their spouse. It doesn't matter that Ponto Ação or the original fan fic make him look like a possessive creep, a male chavinistic man. I'll continue watching it because I'm intrigued about the crime and about how Giovanna and Maya/Manu are going to navigate this conundrum. We know in advance that Maya/ Manu has no qualms about cheating and lying. On the other hand, we know that Giovanna's achiles heels is sex. How far Giovanna's going to resist Maya/Manu's seduction that's what we'll find out in the next episodes.
I think what's missing is the softness. I went back to watch episode 1 the other day and I realized that without those hints of softness and intimacy, for example, as in SW S1Ep.8. It's easy for the scene to become overwhelming. It's very raw, very sensual, very powerful. But the softness is what's needed for us to be able to root for the characters and connect with them. Usually, in stories where the protagonist is doing something that might be considered immoral, the audience has to either understand their motives, root for the pairing or really like the protagonist, even without understanding. Here, we've just met Maya and Giovanna, we don't really know Maya's reasons for cheating as Christopher appears to be a dedicated husband and Maya and Giovanna haven't developed their relationship to the point where there's more at stake than just sex. I think that's why you're feeling a bit off. It's a subtle disconnect between the audience and the characters.
Hopefully, as the story goes on, Maya's reasons become evident, their feelings become about more than just sex and then we see if there's something here that moves you😄.
I feel like, Maya's seduction is part of the issue but the main dilemma will come later because that on its own isn't going to compromise Giovanna unless Maya decides to blackmail her. By Ep.3, Giovanna is feeling feelings. My question is, what happens when someone you like becomes implicated in the case you're investigating? How far will Giovanna go to protect Maya and what will that do to her career, if that's the road this takes?
I hope we see more that helps you connect with the series😊. I'm loving the drama and the power plays because it's just body language and emotion and that's fun for me😂 but I also hope to see more of the plot and some more substance between the two of them. There's a loooooot of potential for something really gripping. But PA has to draw it out. That sense of this beautiful, flawed, imperfect thing in the midst of this storm. We're not perfect, but we're holding onto each other anyway. That feeling that makes you want them to make it😄.

Stupid Wife fell in love with montages in season 3 and i see that brought it over to this show. The pace kind of dragged but i will admit that the chemistry is there between these two. The little moment they had on the last episode of Stupid Wife didn't do them justice! There's a lot of potential here. I wasnt going to watch but they have my attention

Aww, I understand luv. One thing I've learnt in life is that the show must go on. They didn't end SW as well as they should have or could have, but they also gave us SW in the first place and it was beautiful while it lasted. I believe that within the time constraints they faced to also film Xequemate (and perhaps with other behind the scenes factors we might not be aware of) they tried to give the fans something they could be happy about.

Natalie tiene sus momentos para brillar en el episodio 3, por lo que no fue tan necesario hacer una larga caminata hasta la oficina si solo fuera para presumir de Natalie Smith. Sólo mi opinión personal.
Además, el coqueteo entre Natalie y Giovanna en el primer episodio se siente un poco fuera de lugar ya que se supone que Giovanna todavía está recuperándose de haber descubierto que Maya está aquí y es la esposa de Christopher. Creo que el coqueteo podría haber comenzado en el episodio 3, cuando Giovanna decide seducir a la secretaria para obtener información🤷🏽♀️.

Sim, a conexão emocional não é a mesma do VaLu. SW começa no meio da história de VaLu e este é o início da história de Maya e Giovanna. Até agora, é mais sobre a dinâmica de poder entre eles. Teremos que ver se algo mais profundo sai disso🤷🏽♀️😄.
