I got the Iron Rook to back The Dice Tower's KS. I have never played King of Tokyo before. I finally got my copy for Christmas and noticed that Iron Rook does not have his evolution cards. Are they available somewhere, or will they come in the future?
Now if I'm a person that wants everything for the King of series then yeah I would want to get this as well as the 2nd edition. It's not worth it to me though. I just love the Kraken. I guess it's nice that they had Cyber bunny and Kraken in this. I have them yet I'm still waiting on the power up expansion that allows you to play King of Tokyo monsters in king of New York. They are planning to add evolution cards for KoNY but not sure how or when.
Heat vision seems to have been completely reversed. 2017 Heat Vision. Monsters that wound you with their CLAW lose 1VP., Original Heat Vision. Monsters you attack lose 1 VP.
I love Power Up! but my problem is the cost. $20 for 70~ cards is extremely expensive. I wish they had a smaller box of just the cards and maybe a slim piece of paper and charged only like $10 for it. Even on discount it usually is $15 which again seem a lot for such a small expansion.
Yeah, but that's still not much for the price point in my eyes. I do plan on picking up a copy when it goes on sale, although I have the first edition of King of Tokyo so it is a little annoying due to the mismatch.
Gigazaur can combo hard with Gamma Breath, Tail Sweep, and Saurian Adaptability. Roll a couple attacks, a couple 2's, change one of your two other die to attack and the other to a 2, then switch either your 2's to attacks for 6 damage or switch your attacks to 2's for 5 victory points.

Agreed. I understand that would have been a lot of product in one box, but they already announced ages ago we would get them in the new KoT Power Up so it still feels kinda shitty nonetheless. Whelp looks like that's less stuff for me to buy since I'm really only interested in KoNY right now.
I dont understand why people even play KoT, KoNY is so much more satisfying and resembles monsters wrecking the city and fighting each other in a much more compelling fashion. The 1s, 2s and 3s are so boring in KoT, you just score fame and thats it...
Ditto on this. I find KoNY superior as does everyone in my game group. The new KoNY powerup expansion just sealed the deal as the individual powers make an already great game even better.

Can you use power - up and evolution cards on multiple creatures? How many cards does each deck consist of when building?

Those evolution cards are included within their own Halloween expansion and Cthulhu pack. ;)
