- Luke Holland, 20 years old! I'm from Peoria, Arizona. This is a new song off of 'Real' that we wrote about Mitch Lucker from Suicide Silence, as well as anyone who has lost loved ones in their lifetime. This particular song on the album isn't one of the harder ones, but there are some challenging parts in there.
Using my beautiful DW Collector's Series drum kit.

I think it's stupid how people think that TWA is a waste of Luke's talent. Are they not listening and watching this or the album itself? This video alone shows how his talent is stepping the band up a whole new level.
I really really dig this track. I'm so glad I preordered this album.
I wish Luke would be one of those guys that gives back to the community. A lot of his viewers helped him become more successful by watching and since he has such a large following it only makes sense to give back. I'm not saying every video needs to be a lesson or tips but some of that would be nice, especially since he's in a position where he could really help fellow drummers.
Luke, you do what you do perfectly. I tell you this not as an obsessed fan girl/boy, or for any biased related reason - but as somebody who writes music as well and was fortunate enough to grow up and learn with brilliant musicians. I don't understand why people try to pick you apart? Well...I guess I do...it's jealousy man. I'm honestly fed up with the negative comments I read. Who the fuck has time to waste on attempting to bring you down or make excuses on why your not that good, or why you are a wasted talent in TWA, or whatever they say. For your age bro your doing wonders and are far beyond the "skills" or "talents" of your haters. As beautiful as life can be...I'm suprised at how ugly people can make it. Your technique, creativity, originality, and poise are top notch homie. Everyone else who has a problem should shut the fuck up and take their jealousy elsewhere...if people have to do that - how about taking it out on someone who actually DOES suck at drums? Just a thought.
the reason why I listen to this band is for Holland's drumming, and their dope and awesome inspirational lyrics. keep it up! it is an honor watching you rip apart a set like this 👌

Luke, you have been a huge inspiration for me playing drums over the past few years. I love your style of playing (covers, remixes, and the stuff you write). This is one of my favorite TWA songs and one of my favorite videos you've posted. On top of all that I love your new kit. Those shells are gorgeous.

I'm reminded of no one quite so much as The Rev, formerly of AX7 fame. Just the smoothness, the creativity, the way cymbals get mixed into already full riffs to give it just that little bit of sharpness; it all just works. Lots of drummers have technicality, but it's that creative element that I love.
i freaking love that snare drum sound, low but with a nice crack to it.
Your drumming has evolved a lot since you first joined the band! It sounds really tasteful and groovy, not too complicated but with some creative flair still. Love it!
When listening to it there are so much stuff that you don't necessarily hear on your first listen but damn Luke is good.

Sounds the same to me. The stereo image gets distorted by youtube's compression. I'd guess that's what you're hearing since it's very common to put a delay between left and right speakers (usually 25ms) for guitars. Makes them sound fat, so youtube would sound thinner than it does when you listen to it on your media player.

This kid is my idol. I started watching him back about the time he put out his cover of the sinner by mmf. Since then this kids developed like crazy and to be able to have voted for him as best drummer in ap. that's a great feeling.

Luke is one of the best drummers of the genre and to be this good at 21 Imagine in a few years he has really boosted the band their second album drum wise was kinda lack luster but bringing Luke in has fixed that and allowed them to do more musically and not just breakdown every ten seconds i can't wait to see the more albums they produce they have a bright future
I'll be honest, the first time that I heard this song I wasn't too crazy about it. But, the more I listened to it the more I liked it. I can't wait until tomorrow!

In a weird way you can tell this is Luke's drums on the track. He just owns it more so than his other videos.
