    Drive pro ES is 6k now regular price. I just bought one as you know a few months ago. The tool is very meh at best, but the support is awesome. My first grab is the Phoenix smart, then the auto logic then autel. Awesome video!

    Autel FTW! Best scantool on the market,whether one is an actual day to day technician,a DIY-er,TH-camr whatever… And since we’re on TH-cam,it’s also the most popular choice for professional technicians that are actually fixing cars,not just talking about it or shilling for a certain company. Yes it’s Chinese,so are the majority of the other scantool brands…
    Thanks for the review! 👌

    Very impressed with your knowledge of the various scanner platforms as respects their weaknesses and strengths. I guess I would like to see a complete evaluation by separate scanners and then the subsequent repair of a common problem whether it is an electrical or sensor issue.

    Good stuff. BMW,MB and Vag group are very strong on Launch products which includes Top Don. I recently upgraded to the PAD 5 which was a very good price and a super compliment to the factory tooling for these brands. On very few occasions I grab the factory tools out because I say from experience " Uhmm, I am not buying this, so lemme double check"

    Great video and just the info I've been searching for. I have a generic Bluetooth dongle, a BlueDriver, a Foxwell NT510 Elite, and laptop running BMW ISTA. I have a 2012 BMW, a Ford, Chevy, and inheriting a 2003 Jaguar S-Type that's throwing some codes so I've been in the market for a tablet-style scanner that can do more.
    In your video you mentioned BMW and Jaguar for the Topdon Phoenix and I've heard good things about it but it really wasn't on my potential buying list til now.
    I'll definitely take a deeper look at it after watching this.
    Thanks for the info!

    I’m an automotive locksmith and love my im608. By far one of the best tools for a locksmith. But just like a mechanic we needs several tools. AutoProPad by Xtool is one I would recommend and even though it’s one of my least favorite the Smart Pro is also a needed tool. For more advanced auto locksmiths Abrites and vvdi tools are also a must.

      Oh for sure, they all have gaps. I have several programmers and all but decided not to put all that in my videos. They're more heard towards the diag techs. I will argue that the im608 is a VERY strong diag scanner

      @@SuperMarioDiagnostics I use my im608 for diagnostics all the time. I really like it. But I use it mainly for locksmith stuff, computer programming and to help me do a diagnostic if there is an issue not allowing me to program a key. Sometimes if the car doesn’t start to help out my customer I will run a diagnostic.

    • @ShogunnxYT
      @ShogunnxYT 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@SuperMarioDiagnostics The im608 is not Autel’s strongest diag scanner. That title goes to Maxysys Ultra. However, all these makers make sure they keep just one or two vital features missing, so they don’t shoot their other tools in the foot. Autel for example im608 is very strong for immo, but just above average on diagnostic. Maxisys Ultra has oscilloscopes and meter stuff built into the Vci and diagrams and networked module display, etc. it can do basic key programming. I have the Launch as well (topdon, thinktool, Maximus, etc). Launch tools have good power behind them, however, you have to figure things out for yourself. It’s not super user friendly. But I like it bcuz I CAN figure out how to do almost every thing. Also, Launch tools gain access to Mercedes servers and can get the scn info, which makes them super valuable for the price. You can do 6/7 Mercedes transmission programming jobs and make the total cost of the Launch. Also, with vpn it can program and with immo prog it can do immo stuff. Best value. Any of these tools that have “factory interface” built in, try to program a Chrysler. It will need to become a WiPod, which I avoid lol

    I think the new larger Iscan is around 4k. It has an Icom built in that you can use independently from the tool unlike the Cardaq 3 built in to the Drive Pro. The non subscriber issues with the Autologic is a slap in the face for AL. That wasn't the agreement when the tools were sold. Some of their tech support guys are awesome though. My Autel is also my go-to tool. Thanks for the work sir

    It's true with the print problems, all the Autel scanner. At the workshop, we have 3 Autel, the hi end product of Autel, and 2 mid range, all of them, every day you have to play with the printing settings....
    For European market cars, I am very surprised with the coverage that Autel have,i rate it compare the job we can do,95% out of jobs,but also, very good products for European cars, are the Texa wich I have use it and it's very very good, and the Gutmman ,wich I have not use it, I have checked it few times, and maybe it's going to be my next scan tool.

    In my opinion, the scanning time is not quite the first thing that bothers me. Covering the functions of scanners that really work is much more important. Technical support? Are you kidding me? Even European scanners such as Bosch or Hella Guttman do not cover all the functions of aftermarket scanners. I think it's the car companies that cause problems for companies with aftermarket scanners - they give them incomplete information because there is only one original scanner for BMW and only one original scanner for Mercedes, etc. we have to consider what is better. You are right, one scanner is not enough, nor two, sometimes even three...

    Hello Mario. I have seen your video and I want to tell you that I have Autel Elite and IM608. you can send the report directly to your tel. via PDF. and you don't need to send it to a computer by email any of that. I use it daily and I have no problem. and I have been trying to get information from the ISCAN3 scanner. What do you have there? but I just wanted to ask you. How much better in programming is it than Autel or Launch? because I'm seeing if I can buy the ISCAN3 but hardly anyone gives me a report or knowledge of this type of scanner. I try not to be paying as much in subscriptions as Autologic. but if you do things much more in programming. transmission, head light modules, and ecm. etc... very common things. I would like if you have time and give me a suggestion. I would really appreciate it. Nice day. Thank you

    • @SuperMarioDiagnostics
      @SuperMarioDiagnostics  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I've not been successful at sending reports to my phone but maybe that's because of it being an iPhone.
      With autologic, you have to pay 300/month for their subscription. And if a vehicle that you're working on is not part of the package you've subscribed to, then each programming session with cost you another 150.
      Iscan does not require a monthly subscription and anything that requires their tech support that you cannot do within the tool itself will run you 125 per session. They will see if it's something that they can do before starting the session. Which has not been the case for me with autologic.
      The iscan will do most headlight coding on Mercedes and also 722.9 data transfer without requiring an support session

    • @ismaelelca23
      @ismaelelca23 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ok. Thank you. So much. I don't have IPhone. Probably that's the problem. But any way. If you have android you can send reports from there and send to other customers at same time. Blessings.

  • @MrADVANCEDTEK

    Not a fan of the Autologic Drive Pro. Their tech help has back door functions so they can do other test or functions that should on the tool for the money. I had two call backs from two different guys and they both had me check different things. Another car we were told to replace a rear main seal on a VW and I disputed(had no oil leaking) but I replaced it and it ended up being a Cam control solenoid failure. It's not intuitive and no real help info on the tool. That and it takes too long(5 minutes) to boot.
