    I highly recommend the speaker if you have money to spend and you want a speaker that can get extremely loud and not get distorted. If you want that audiophiles sound in a portable bluetooth/wifi speaker, this is the best you'll find in general, in my opinion. Also great for parties since it'd 360 audio so it'll sound great no matter where people are standing.

    • @yuzhouxie9394
      @yuzhouxie9394 ปีที่แล้ว

      Have you heard the sony srs-ra5000? That's also a 360 speaker with 6 drivers plus a subwoofer. Maybe it'd be a good comparison.

    • @MrHibu
      @MrHibu  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@yuzhouxie9394 i haven't heard of it in person but I remember people saying that at higher volume there's a lot of compression for the srs-ra5000. And it is wired so its a bit unfair to compare the too, but mania is 176 watts vs 55 watts so i expect mania to sound better and louder but i cant for sure. A quick google told me that a lot of people think it's a bad speaker overall even if price tag wasn't so high. But that's me saying without having hearing it in person so don't take my opinion too serious

    • @BH4x0r
      @BH4x0r ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@MrHibu the 176 watts is a joke either way, the gold phantom was "3000W" on a 120V socket, that would instantly pop the breaker
      maybe the amp is capable of that, but with limited power output to reduce THD(total harmonic distortion)
      in the high end hifi world it is common to use a 3000W amp on a 100W speaker, and only maximally put 100W in the speaker to minimize amp distortion to 0.001 % THD (as an example), but fact is the Devialet Mania can last a long time on battery power at max volume, which just isn't possible with 3200mAh @ 3S-4S, that is approx 50Wh capacity so the battery would be dead after running at 50W for an hour, nevermind 175W

    • @MrHibu
      @MrHibu  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@BH4x0r oh interesting. The mania battery is really short, i have to charge it daily, definitely not 10hrs battery life. I think if it was 100% volume it probably wouldn't last many hours, it burns fast at 60-75% volume maybe i could test one day

      Jbl boombox 3 is definitely louder and way stronger bass by far, but its a lot muddier, its all about a person's taste - - if you just like loud noise and having fun then even jbl extreme might be better, but if you like cleaner mid and highs, and better detailed and accurate bass, than mania for sure, especially since its still loud, its actually loudr than the extreme 3 too.
