Hahaha this for sure. It’s only when people call them “Chinese kids” or “girls” or insult them or are just crappy people. The ones who get called out on it are always the first to “warn people about the crazy fans”. Being decent or respectful ain’t hard. Or it shouldn’t be.

We wouldn't cancel anyone just for not knowing their names 😆 I'd say we only go after people who are being racist, homophobic or downright hateful (they get a lot of that sadly). This choreography was made by Sienna Lalau, the dancer they zoom in at 2:15. She was around 19yrs old when she made this choreo and I think it's so impressive that she managed to direct such a huge number of people into one cohesive and beautiful choreography! She worked with BTS again on other occasions and it's been awesome everytime 💜 please tell your wife army said "hi" 🙋 and thank you for the video!

I found BTS in 2022 and I only wish I found them sooner. I was diagnosed with Bipolar and went into a deep depression. It was the hardest time for me, nothing could distract me or make me happy until I gave in and started watching their content. These dudes are so down to earth, funny as hell and SOOOOO talented. Watching them I realized the world isnt a shitty place after all. My life isnt over yet and I can pull through. Thanks to the messages in their songs and the acts they do for people changed everything.

Tickets sold fast as 60 mins...they had a 4 day sold out concert in Sofi stadium last, last year and in Las Vegas 4 day concert was also sold out last April.

@@tigerteel it's mandatory, so it's not like they have a choice. It's not like in US.
I don't think any musical group would be happy about going to Military. But bts are honest and good men, they are not going to pull dirty tactics to avoid military like some footballers and some random musicians have done in sk.

Very good! 'RM' is correct and he is the leader of the group. Both him and Suga were underground rappers in Korea before joining the record label. Their rap songs (along with the 3rd rapper, JHope) have some hard hitting lyrics. Those three are called the 'rapline'. The other four members are called the 'vocal line'.
    They were using drone cameras.

Jin, the group's oldest member, is currently serving his mandatory enlistment in the South Korean army. The other members will all serve theirs soon. The plan is to reunite by 2025 and continue being the greatest music artists in the world! PS: RM is considered the leader of the group! He was the first member. RM stands for "Rap Monster" or "Real Me", but he has now outgrown the name and is mainly called Namjoon, his real name, by us ARMYs.

Yes, that is RM (Namjoon Kim). He is indeed the leader of BTS. BTS project started around a 17 year-old RM who was scouted from the hip-hop underground. He was an underground rapper since he was 14 yo. He is a great lyricist. He is the main lyricist in BTS. As of today he has 220 songwriting and producing credits. When Bang PD (Big Hit founder, CEO and producer) signed him to his label he really didn't know what to do with RM, so he started looking for other rappers to form a Hip hop group.
After many financial struggles and on the verge of bankruptcy, Big Hit changed the project into an Idol group, but leaving the rappers (RM, SUGA and j-hope) as the main songwriters. BTS members have a lot of creative power in their music and concepts. You'll learn about this little by little. They all have very strong personalities.
BTS does not only do pop they are genre-blenders. You'll find out.

My dad is an Army veteran himself. I became a fan of BTS first and introduced both my parents to them. My dad still struggles massively with a lot of...trauma from the war, mentally and physically. Both BTS music and their content RUN BTS is one of the few things that he really can enjoy and laugh along with anymore. So I'm very appreciative of them, even more than I originally was.
BTS music does cover a huge range of genres not just pop. So like Mic Drop, Black Swan, Save Me which was filmed in one shot, Blood Sweat and Tears [which is a more symbolic MV and deals a lot in sin, temptation, loss of innocence etc], Fake Love...theres also
Singularity, Stay Alive, Joke/Do You, Daechwita, Arson, for jimin the MV would be Serendipity but sound wise, Lie is a favorite of mine, Astronaut....

In December 2020, the South Korean National Assembly passed the so-called “BTS law” to allow K-pop entertainers to postpone the service until the age of 30 with a recommendation from the culture minister, giving BTS the option to delay their enlistment. (Hwagwan Orders of Cultural Merit)
BTS is the youngest recipient and only Kpop group to receive this award since 2018.
J-Hope recently began the military enlistment process by submitting his request to terminate his military postponement. This means he is likely to be the next member of BTS to enlist in the military.
They created the law because of BTS but it seems that BTS themselves will not be using this law. As an ARMY, it's bittersweet.

A bit of input about their military service here! When you serve in the Korean military, whatever money you make goes to the military. What the military wanted to do is make BTS serve while doing tours and public appearances so that the money would go to them. Even though the group has already made billions for the country’s economy. The politicians kept also dangling the exemption in front of their noses while never making an official decision for YEARS. Last year BTS became the ambassadors of Korea’s bid for world expo. They’ve put on a free concert for the audience of 50000 people in Busan. Their company pretty much funded the entire thing, also broadcasted it for free for the people around the world, transformed the entire city of Busan into Boraland (gonna have to google that term, guys). With no help from the government. And then, on Monday, right after the Busan concert, announced their enlistment as a huge middle finger to the government. And now we’re here. All of the guys are going to enlist when they’re done with their personal schedules (solo releases, endorsements and so on).

FWIW, I’m a 49 year old female US Army (non-combat) Veteran.
My husband is now an ARMY. He’s a (combat Veteran) Army retiree.
And my then 78 year old uncle went with us to Day 1 of the BTS concert series in Las Vegas in 2021
I am the very last person one would expect to be a devotedly loyal ARMY.
Before I discovered BTS a and our wonderfully supportive community, my favorite bands were Bad Religion and Oingo Boingo.
I would argue that regarding the content of their lyrics, BTS is a straight edge punk band (similar to Bad Religion) dressed in pop clothing.
Great art transcends age and language

The members are in the process of fulfilling their military service. Since Jin is the oldest one, he's serving right now. South Korea passed a law that was dedicated to BTS basically saying that K-pop entertainers could postpone their service until they become 30 years old. Before this law was passed, all able bodied men were supposed to enlist when they turned 28 years old in South Korea

I am a 47 yr old Army. And I just happen to come across you guys and loved it you guys are funny. 1st Jin the oldest just turned 30 in Dec and yes just for the military he just finished his basics and is going to his next place. For 18 months. That's the min required. Also they were suppose to go 2 years ago but the were so popular that their government gave them 2 year exemption but had to go by 30. Which Jin just hit in Dec. They will all go at different times. The Youngest is JK and is only 25. Imagine when he started. He was 13 when he started as a trainee and debuted at 15. Jin was 18 when he trainee and 20 when debuted. Jin and Suga are my bias. And yes RM learned English from the sitcom Friends. His mom bought all the seasons and he would watch them in Korean 1st the English the without. They been to the UN 3x and Whitehouse in 2022 to talk about Asian hate. Kpop companies are different from their company. They started out as nothing. BTS started from nothing and went to the too of the world but not just cause of their music and dancing but what they represent. Koreans look down on depression and talking out about it social standings bulling and whatever else BTS took a chance and spoke out about it in their lyrics. They write and produce their own music and yes with some other producers and writers. Suga has already won an award for a producer for another artist. BTS trained for hours on end up to 16 hours a day. They are protectionist. Especially JHope and Jimin. They can keep their voice steady because they run on treadmills while singing it was part of their training. I hope you go down this rabbit hole as well as the others. The ones wife is so cool for getting tickets. They sell out in litteral mins and I've never been able to go but it's all good. She definitely knows what's good. The dancing is all good singing is fantastic and they are handsome young guys but what iblove is their messages. That's what made them who they are the most and they are the most down to earn and humble people out their. Here is 2 sights to check out if your interested about learning more in depth of BTS or the other guys just to get the WHY they are so famous. And who they are and that is The Guide to The Bangtan 7 by Taylor it's on TH-cam also the rise of Bangtan.. those are in episodes. There is 22 but they are so worth it. I think you'd cringe at some of the things Kop is and does (not BTS really but in general) but it's mostly about BTS. 1st episodes just gives you an insight in what Kpop is and so on. There is also a sight from XCeleste that is call The Hardships of BTS. Talks about the discrimination they went through and death threats they received as well but never let them get them down and moved forward. I dont know how to add these sights. Lol sorry but they are on TH-cam and are easy to find. But if you decide to keep going start at the beginning when they were young and started out to where they eventually changed what they were doing and who they are now. It's starts with their album to cool for school. And you will laugh at just their appearance but they are awesome. Please I really hope you keep going. They are lyric videos, MV, and lives. Most reactions I watch do the MV 1st then a live right after those are awesome because their lives will blow you away. They have 4 categories. All 7 sing as a group. Then there is their Rap line which is RM, Suga, and J-Hope. Then there is the vocal line which is Jin, Jimin, V, and JK. And then of course the last when they sing solo on stage as well. Every group is so perfect. I've been to a few concerts of my years and never seen anything like these guys. Oh yea RM is the leader of BTS. Alot if weight in his shoulders especially since he was only one speaking English but he is for other reasons as well. They all speak some eanglish now. Since Jim had to go to the military, BTS as a group are on a break. But as individually they are doing solo stuff. J-Hope already released his album last year and headlined at Lalapalooza broke a record there too. 105,000 in attendance and no body has done that in 35 years its been going on and also sold over a million in merch another record as well. RM also released his new album end of 2022. Jin release a solo song with cold play dedicated to Army since he was going away and wanted Army to know he loved them. This month of Feb Jimin is due to release his Album but we are not sure exact date. But they are doing other things as well like Suga hosts on a talk show that he invites he fav people on. It's on TH-cam too. Also BTS has a variety show called RUN BTS been on for years and they put few episodes on end of last year and have another episode coming. RM is also a host on a show, V is doing some things as well. JIMN was name global Embassador for Dior fashion, Suga is Embassador for Valintinos fashion I think that's how it's spelt. J-Hope is for Louis Vuitton and JK I believe is going to be doing Kelvin Kline . Anyways this probably to much for you to read just had to give you some info. So im cringing at how long this is but hope this help to understand too. That's all my intentions were for please enjoy.

42 yo ARMY and 8 year US Army Iraq War veteran here. :) Thanks for checking them out. I grew up listening to music non-stop, I've been to countless concerts and festivals and NOTHING has ever compared to seeing BTS live in 2021 in LA. @_@ I went to all four shows and I will be at their first show back in 2025 no matter where it is!
Their ages range from 25 to 30 right now. Jin, the oldest, just finished basic training and will be serving his 18 months as an assistant drill sergeant. Suga will be the next one to serve. They ALL plan to enter the military in this calendar year so that they'll all be back and ready to go as a team in 2025. South Korea literally added an extension to the age limit to serve that allowed BTS members to wait until 30 to enlist (usually it's 28). They were even debating in their congress/senate?... whether or not to exempt the BTS members all together because of the effect they have on the economy of S. Korea. The guys decided to go regardless of the possible exemption.

    RM: 28
    Jimin: 27
    V: 27

And this is them...they literally practice 12-14hrs per day when they are preparing for concerts, etc. They have a 300+ discography.

Jungkook is 25 (The one that sang the solo), he will be 26 this year September 1, 2023, and he is the youngest, the Main Vocalist, and a Lead Dancer, but he can rap too, and as is all the members, he is a songwriter and producer. They don't give exemptions to KPOP artists. They passed a law that artists that had certain merit awards by the govnt could get a deferment til age 30. BTS took advantage of that, but now will withdraw that deferment, because they chose to do their service now, so it won't interrupt the group for too long. They always put the group first, ahead of their own interests. That is how they are so cohesive as a group, and they have also formed a brotherhood over the years. They are not just amazing artists, they are amazing humans as well.
BTS practice for hours daily with choreography, and they work out and stay in shape. They practice singing and running on a treadmill. They sing live and you can hear the difference. When they were trainees, they would dance 8 hours every day, they all work out too. If you guys did sit ups and walked a treadmill every day, you would notice a difference, and you would be able to do more as well.
Please don't compare them to Western Boy Bands. They debuted as a Hip Hop Idol group in 2013, and they have worked harder than any boy band in the West, and they write and produce their own music. Nsync, One Direction, and Back Street Boys can't dance like BTS or Rap. They also don't have the range of vocals that BTS have. That was V that went to a Jazz club, because he is a lover of Jazz, Soul, and RNB, and I'm sure he had a body guard with him. Here is V's Instagram post with him dancing at a Jazz club in Las Vegas - instagram.com/p/Cb06lOwBsME/
By the way, that was when they were in Las Vegas in April of 2022. BTS sold out Allegiant Stadium for a 4 day run. Two weekends. My husband and I went to that concert April 15 and 16. We went to the Los Angeles one too, December 2, 2021. They sold out SoFi Stadium for 4 nights. BTS are the best performers I've ever seen. I enjoyed the concerts so much. They had a translator also, when they needed it. But the members can speak some limited English. RM can speak fluently. It was Friends that he learned to speak English from. By the way, I'm a 56 year old BTS ARMY. and my husband is a fan as well. Just not as dedicated as me. 💜
Rm is the Group Leader, Main Rapper, Songwriter, and Producer. His Stage name RM used to be Rap Monster, but he changed it to RM, and said it was closing him in a box when he is much more than that, and he said it could be Real Me. Thank you for taking your time to check out BTS. I really hope you continue to explore their music and their personalities. The Group went on a "Break" to prepare for their solo work and serve in the military, so right now, there are a lot of projects coming out. J-Hope, JIN, and RM, have officially released their solo work, and JIMIN is supposed to release his this month, All the members have been doing collaborations as well. I think V is the only one that hasn't. He has been exploring fashion, and Acting, as well as working on his hobbies and his album. So you guys can look forward to their projects, because they are all amazingly talented on their own. I will link you two live performances. Both NPR Tiny Desk's - One is BTS as a Group, and one is RM's solo songs.

Don't worry if On is not really to your taste, because they do such a wide variety of music styles. Everything from 90’s rap and hip hop to new metal, from Latin Pop to haunting ballads, from EDM to pop music, and three full English songs. And that's just the full group songs, when you add in their solo songs, their range expands even further. As you dig into their discography I am sure you will find something you enjoy. Which will lead to something else, then something else.
Also, there are hundreds of compilation videos, their VLives, Run BTS (their variety show) all of which will showcase their personalities. Suga even has his own interview show "Suchwita", which is very interesting, and well done.💜

the reason(s) they have a large fandom:
-they're HUMANS (they act human, they have empathy, they're relatable, they have manners, etc. they're just humans better than I am.. they're also funny)
-their lyrics (goes back to how human they are, their lyrics are very relatable too.. their works are inspired by literature, arts, psychology and life story and society)
-great performers (you've witnessed it, but wait until you see them with crowds.. they always command the stage)
-different genres (they started as a hiphop group and as they got older, they also branched out and tried other genres because they refused to be boxed in just 1 genre)
-they communicate with us (our relationship is mutual, between BTS and ARMY.. there are times when our conversations are light, there are also times when they give advise.. and they're also not afraid to show emotions like if they're disappointed in something)

    Some Fun Facts:
1.BTS used to run on the treadmill and sing at the same time to get a stable voice. They have worked really hard for it.
    2.There are 3 rappers and 4 vocalists.
3.RM is the leader and the spokesperson for the group. He learned English after watching FRIENDS .
4.They have a rags to riches type story, there company was nothing(almost went bankrupt), all of them didn't have great financial backgrounds either so they have worked harder than alot of other kpop goups as they weren't from the "Big 3 companies" at that time.
5.They debuted in 2013 when Jungkook was just 15(youngest).He joined the company as a trainee at just 13. All of them were trainees at BIGHIT before coming together as a group.
6.Jimmy Fallon said it was really hard to borrow The Grand Central but they got it coz it was BTS who were going to perform.
7.They sell out stadiums in minutes. They sold out Wembley for 2 shows in just minutes.
8.The S.Korean Govt. had been talking about their exemption for about 2 years but were just delaying it and not coming to a conclusion as they needed BTS for their country( BTS are estimated to bring 3 million dollars to S. Koreas economy each year).BTS's military exemption had been a hot topic for years untill last october when BTS took matter into their own hands and announced that they will serve as Jin turned 30 last dec so he was the first to join.
[ The korean govt had earlier exempted kpop idols to postpone their enlistment till they turn 30(usually 18-28) but only for those who had cultural merit award]

RM is indeed the leader, and he's not only spoken at the UN... 3 times, I believe, but they've also been invited to and spoken at the White House.
They are literally the biggest, most popular pop group on the planet at present.
Army (and other k-pop fans) refers to "bias", not favourites. Because when you have a favourite, it's too easy to start making lists about "most to least", "best to worst", and you have to defend WHY someone is your favourite which usually leads to unfavourable comparisons with other members.
However, a BIAS is a personal preference that can rest on something as intangible as "his dimples" or "he just pops out to me" or "there's just something about him".
And then you can have bias wreckers, i.e. you have a bias but certain other members will "come for you" and threaten the bias position on a regular basis. ;)
It's also very common to just love the whole group, i.e. have a OT7 bias (One True 7).
The military exemption has been critiqued for not including pop stars, only classical musicians - even when those popstars contribute about half a percent of the country's entire economy, or about 5 BILLION dollars per year...
The argument was made that they serve their country far better as ambassadors and celebrities than they ever could in a uniform, but time dragged on and no change in the rules seemed forthcoming when they announced that Jin was going in just as he turned 30.
The boys themselves have always been very clear - if they are called upon, they will serve. It appears they've decided to do their service in short order, rather than wait until each member approaches 30 - this way, they can reunite in 2025, rather than in 7 years, which is how long it would take them to do it "chronologically".
And yes, Jin just finished his recruit training with high honours, and was accepted for a position as a junior member of the training staff at a recruit center - basically an "assistant drill sergeant", responsible for helping new recruits get through basic training, being an example to them etc.

Y'all can relate to BTS now because they are also going to the military. Actually one member is already in which is Jin 7:27 who is the oldest member in BTS. He has only been in the military since December and has already become a commander of his unit. But don't worry all 7 members will reunite and come back in 2025. But in the meantime the members are currently dropping solo Albums with three members who have already dropped their [Jin, J-Hope, RM]. And Jimin will be the next member to drop his solo album. Also, speaking of J-Hope his birthday is actually next week [Feb, 18th] so it would be cool if you did a solo reaction to him on his birthday. Maybe react to his performance at Lollapalooza which he headlined. But until his birthday I'd suggest reacting to *a guide to the 7 members of BTS by Taylor* so you can know who the members are.

Also, just an fyi they are singing live, they practice singing while running on a treadmill in order to learn how to remain stable. They also practice 12-16 hrs a day in order to perfect their performances. They are also perfectionists who will do playbacks on the monitors in order to correct any errors/mistakes/flaws they may find in their performances. For example the central station performance had to be redone multiple times and they didn't finish till like 2-3 in the morning.
Edit: Jimmy Fallon said after the performance they were breathing so heavily he could literally feel their hearts beating through their backs when he hugged them.

LOVED your honest reaction! I'm a 72 yo Army. BTS' physical stamina is amazing. One member, Jimin, studied martial arts for 8 years and has a black belt in Taekwondo and also studied Kendo. Their music is very eclectic and covers several genres, including hip-hop (Mic Drop), rap (Ugh!), ballad (House of Cards), latin pop (Airplane Pt.2) - so a lot to choose from. Since 2013 they've recorded over 300 songs. Although they haven't done metal yet, one member, J-Hope, released a single, "More" that is a combo of rap and metal. You might enjoy some of their other solo ventures, in particular RM's collab with Anderson Paak, "Still Life" and Jimin's collab with Taeyang, a member of another very successful KPop group BigBang, "Vibe" (I recommend the live version).
As you read, Jin is currently doing his military service and just graduated basic training the end of January. Then he won the base's talent show - go figure :) I understand he is now an Assistant Instructor at the base.
Looking forward to your future reactions!!!

Bts have been around since 2013, but by the time they got big in the USA in 2017 they already had a massive fandom so I can understand why some ppl think they just blew up over night. But bc they were so looked down upon in Korea their international fans made sure to spread who they were and give them the love they deserve. While korean media and gov’t still don’t appreciate bts they have definitely finally gotten the recognition from the gp. They have released many albums and compilation albums, and since they were MEANT to go to the military back in 2020
, MOTS:7 or Map of the Soul:7 was supposed to be their big release to us and to give assurance they would be back after their service. Sadly Corona stopped their plans and tour and lead to giving the gov time to talk about exempting them (tho they said time and time again they didn’t want that). But yeah I’m sure other army have given you other info. Sorry for the paragraph hehe😅

Loved this reaction! I’m glad you noticed and appreciated their vocals, choreography, and hard work! :) Some info: The 7 from Map of the Soul 7 was not only because there are 7 of them but also because it came out 7 years after their debut. The group has been together since around 2010, but they debuted in 2013. They’re now taking a break and doing more solo projects as they each have to do their mandatory military enlistment. Jin ,as you saw, is currently serving. They each could sell out concerts on their own (J-Hope was a headliner and sold out Lollapalooza last summer) because they each bring so much to the table! Because they’re not only fantastic performers live (was lucky enough to see them in LA and Las Vegas) but they each are very involved with songwriting, producing, dancing, and the visuals. Their music is so diverse spanning multiple genres, and they speak on a lot of issues not common in music/ K-Pop (like mental health, society injustices, women empowerment, psychological concepts (map of the soul- Carl Jung), and even songs dedicated for BTS ARMY), I think what I appreciate so much about them is how open and genuine they are. They have so gratitude and love towards their fans it’s crazy- which make us love them more. They are worldwide superstars but you would never guess by the way they act and talk with others. As a group they are like family which comes across in everything they do. Thank you for appreciating their hard work and artistry! :) If you liked the choreography in this I would suggest checking out one of their latest- Run BTS!! Thank you for watching On! 💜

It's because of their dedication and sincerity towards their art that they have the crazy loyal fan base that they have.

Map of the soul 7 is for 7 albums & 7 members. They have releases albums in korean.japanese & English. They don't Lipsync because it is banned n korea & they r strict about it. Taehung or v, your wife's & my bias can stay under water 1:30 minutes. The breath control is amazing. I didn't think kpop was my thing but when I saw the grand central video I too had chills & was absolutely transfixed. Its utterly amazing how hard they have worked & way the way they used to be treated (& sometimes still are) but they are humble & kind to everyone. I'm proud to b an army. Thnx giving them a chance. Btw: I say all this being well over 30yrs old

You guys really impressed me with your reaction. Your respect for their work and their talent (both the vocals and the choreo), as well as you looking things up is super appreciated. If you guys will tell us what your general musical interests are, we can give you good recommendations. BTS has well over 300 songs (especially if you include solo work and collabs), and the genres range from pop to rock to ballad and rock ballad to rap to hip hop (classic and modern) to R&B to Latin pop to EDM.

I enjoyed watching your reaction. I’m 53years old, a wife, mother of 3 (21,19,&13) my bias is J-Hope (you should watch his solo performance at Lollapalooza 2022, he killed it). I went to the recent LA and Vegas concerts alone because I don’t know any ARMY friends, but once you get there you’re not alone! I’ve seen concerts and performances in my life but these young men provide an experience. Each one of them gives 100% at all times, is humble, goofy, intelligent and so talented. I only wish I’d known them much sooner in their career rather than just the last couple of years. Their Korean songs (as opposed to the recent all English ones) are insightful, hard hitting on touchy issues, hopeful and inspiring on mental health and relationships. The rapping and singing and dance talent these guys as well as the work ethic they have is unmatched. They are so much more than any label or genre you could try to place them. And as you know the fandom is all ages! I am thankful for the content available for when they are serving their country that will keep me entertained! Thank you guys as well for your service! My suggestion to react to is the most recent concert opening two songs. They are ten years in, and smashing it like no one else!

FYI - Some of them run on a treadmill while singing to increase their lung capacity. Imagine having to practice 16hr days from the age of 14. Believe us when we say, these boys SUFFER in silence. If you see some of the behind concerts, when getting off stage they are passing out, being given oxygen...and fanned so they can get back on stage to perform the 2nd half of the show. I am 53yrs old and have been ARMY since age 52 so I am a baby but have done deep research. I am now learning Hangul (Korean). The 7 is for the YEARS since Debut.

Thanks so much for your reaction, I really enjoyed it. I found you to be fair and open minded which can sometimes be unusual for new reactors. Don't make the mistake of pigeon holing them in any way, they are very diverse and amazing performers but in real life can be real chaotic and funny. Their history, which has been a hard road for them, made them into a genuine brotherhood and they really love and care for each other. Nothing hinky, just real brothers who have been through hell together and made it, through their determination and damn hard work. It's a real tale of the underdog making it big. It's their personalities that make you fall in love with them, and of course the rest is the icing on the cake! 😉As a 54 yr old I can say I'm very proud of them and love them to bits. If you dive further it won't take you long either, I've seen this so many times from so many, and none has regretted it.
With ages ranging from adolescents (even babies!) to mid 80's from all walks of life and backgrounds you are in good hands!
    Some info and advice:
Army have no problem with length of videos, we love to follow along and watch your journey.
CC's are a must for their Korean songs to understand the lyrics in English. However the best lyric translations can be found at Doolsetbangtan: doolsetbangtan.wordpress.com/

A great site for good quality lives with Eng subs (no copyright issues): Enjoy BTS More: th-cam.com/users/EnjoyBTSmorevideos
Also for an explanation of their MV's DKDKTV & Bookish Theory are good sources. We lose a lot in not being able to understand Korean culture, and these do a great job of explaining the real message behind the lyrics which are always deep. So worth doing an explanation video to their songs automatically alongside the MV. Always watch the MV's to the end!
They have various versions of their MV's, from the official MV to remixes (B-sides done for Army) and live performances. Dance videos for their choreography can be found at Bangtantv (their own channel) and behind the scenes videos. Just depends how far you want to go, there is a lot. The MV's have a storyline attached but that is better saved for a time when you know the members more.
To avoid any copyright strikes just show the Big Hit/Hybe logo at the beginning of all their MV's.

NOTE: THE WORD NEGAE MEANS YOU/ME/I - not the word you think! Some misunderstand so best to get this out the way! Also Koreans or Asians in general are not afraid to show their emotions, so crying/hugging/being close is a cultural thing, which to Western eyes can seem a bit touchy feely or cause misunderstandings.
In Korean culture the surname comes first, then the given name! So, for example the leader is Kim Namjoon, and Namjoon is his first name. Otherwise known as Namjoon or as RM (Real Me) but used to be called Rap Monster, Joonie, President (long story there! ). As leader it doesn't mean he's the main artist, they all have 'job' titles/roles so to speak. But he represents the interests of the group to the label and vice versa and is the media spokesperson when abroad as he speaks fluent English.
Songs: TAKE NOTHING AT FACE VALUE! Rec:
ROOM LIVE (FESTA 2021): th-cam.com/video/RRhjdYsNwAk/w-d-xo.html - an annual celebration with Army's, has a medley of their songs from 2013-2020.

Thank you for your Service! The 7 BTS members joined Bighits between 2010 and 2011 where they all became trainees and had extensive dance training and learned to sing while on a treadmill. This is why they are so stable when they rap and sing while dancing. They trained between 12 to 15 hour days with no pay or even knowing if they would make the cut and debut. They are even better live and they debuted on June 12, 2013. BTS has over 300 songs in which they are involved in every aspect of the song writing, production and delivery. They consist of 3 rappers and 4 vocalist and each of them are spectacular in their own right they could truly be successful solo artists, but together they are well Dynamite.

they sing live but they also have some parts of their song where they let the backing track carry, the Jimin nanana part for example, it's not so obvious here cause the audio was processed after recording but you notice in other On lives a very obvious tone change between the nanana backing track to him singing his part that follows live. their english pronounciation is also different live vs mv cause none of them speaks english at all except RM

He was the first member of BTS
The CEO said Bts was formed around RM. He's the main Rapper and songwriter
He has more than 210+ song credits under him

They got a deferral for a bit on their enlistments, which is why they haven't gone in before. Jin just did, and not only is he serving - he was promoted to a leadership position as a trainee, earned an important job, and just won a talent show by teaching his squad to dance 😁 they're incredibly hard-working and used to a grueling schedule. I think that probably helps 😂
There was a lot of conversation about whether they should be required to enlist, because there are people who don't have to if they've contributed in other ways (including culturally), but it doesn't include idols. BTS have done amazing things for Korea, unquestionably (I mean, I'm learning Korean because of them), but they always said they'd enlist like everyone else, and now they are. We're very proud.
