I’ve seen descriptions where some head units won’t work with the fender audio system. Do you know if it will? Is there anything on this for satellite radio? How would you “make it work” for the backup camera?
That's not a 330 that looks like the newer 360 pro model .... I can tell by the location of the mic it's now located near the SD card slot where it use to occupy the scan button location.
Do you know if the OPS Sensors would work with this unit?
Does it work with the Dynaudio premium speaker system in the MK6? The dynaudio will need a data stream connection from the head unit (bottom left if you’re looking at the back) as the amp won’t turn on without the data connection?

Didn’t realize how easy the mk6 is to do this. Older vw you have to take apart half the unit to pull the radio
Yeah the mk5 for example you’d have to dissemble the entire top of the dash around the head unit to pull it out lol
In a way that's better cause it's harder to steal it someone was to break in

Do you have still the car controll options like tps reset.
The only way for to reset my tire pressure and save it is by my radio I don’t have separate button for it.

Doesn't this mess up your cars MIC when making calls? Ie, it won't use the cars MIC and makes poor quality phone calls as a result? Also, don't you need a specific version of this unit depending on if you have a reverse camera or not? Thanks for the vid!

Just came across this. Will the rcd330 also fit in a 2011 audi a3? I know a lot of things are interchangable between the vw and audi lines but not all.
This specific one I do not believe will but not 100% sure. I do know they sell specific ones for the a3 but i would google the exact one for your application
Do you know if it's possible to get the unit to work with a backup camera at all? We have a 2015 Jetta with a backup camera and all I've seen is that if you replace the head unit like this the rear view camera doesn't work anymore.
Still trying to figure out the backup camera, what I know is that you need to buy an adaptor and plug it to unit and also to the rear tail lights, but the adaptor is sold out everywhere and the only ones you can get are rom China, and sometimes they do not work. Ppl sometimes buy 4 adaptors until they find one that works, but what I do know is that you cannot connect it to the cigarette lighter or the yellow and red cords together, but have to send a wire through your whole car!

I thought about upgrading mine to an VW aftermarket that already has wireless android auto, and or google maps. The only reason I haven't done it is because I don't know if my backup camera will still function.
People have told me they’ve had no issues with the backup camera working with the new head unit but I can’t testify to that as my wagon doesn’t have a back up camera

I haven’t experienced nor do I know someone who experience parasitic draws while off. Buttons work like oem no issues at all!

Yeah didn’t even realize the bottom 2 popped off at the time lol super sensitive. Luckily a new trim isn’t too much but it’s tight! 🤷🏽♂️ best upgrade for the price though! Haha
@@DArias ya we have put tools right under the clip so it will not stress out much and break. It’s better if you mention that in the video. For starters you did great job on the video. You don’t seem upset on the video. Usually some people don’t do well when creating the content on the TH-cam.
Thanks man! And yeah I actually added that piece as a side note in the comments. At that point in time I was focused on the camera making sure it wasn’t blurry etc so I didn’t seem to realize the 2 on the bottom did in fact pop off and when putting the trim back on it all snapped in perfectly so I didn’t notice either lol. Once editing I did notice and laughed. Again thank you for the kind words! TH-cam is awkward sometimes talking to yourself on a camera lol
Saw a question about Mk7 and fender system. I assume this woukd not work? I have the "car" button on my 2015 GSW tdi and that has all the system monitors for tires. Convenience users etc.

It should still work if it’s the oem back up camera. If it’s aftermarket you’ll have to wire it to the wire differently
