- In this episode I'll remove the carburator, clean it and replace the jets and orings, I'm also replacing the Air filter with a new one.
The YZ426F is coming along very nicely.

Don't get me wrong I think you do a great job. I. was just mentioning some of the things that I have run into working on stuff and the mistakes I've made. You have the two greatest attributes for success in anything you do, and that's confidence and persistence. I really think the medical tools could be of some use to you in assembly and disassembly. Anyway thank you for being so nice and I hope you have a good evening.

Looks like you're sporting a new hair cut. Looking through the service manual is always a good idea if you can get one. Sometimes they show an easy method of disassembly or some precaution to observe. I would have thought removing the air box would have given you more room to work and made things easier. I wasn't there to get good look in order to make that determination so your call. I like to have a tray of just the tools I need to work. If not I'll put down a wrench and be cussing myself saying where the hell did my 8mm go? I just had it in my hand. Consider getting a pair of magills forceps and a pair of hemostats and perhaps a needle driver or 2. Those will come in very handy. I have to have a work table and I usually disassemble starting left to right, and the screws, nuts and bolts go into upside down lids to keep them from escaping, but that's just me. Your milage may vary. Counting the rotation on the Idle and mixture screws might have helped put you back in ball park and saved your leg a work out. A clamp on after market air filter might help the engine breath better if one is available. Checking for leaks afterwards might have been nice. Sometimes a little dab of RTV blue will do you right, but in California it will probably give you cancer. I hope you won't think I'm trying to tell you what to do because i'm really not. Every time I do something I try to do it better the next time and I'm always trying to improve by observing what people are doing that works and doesn't work. Seeing the problems you were having with the medical gloves made me smile. I keep a zip lock bag full of them. Oh..an ultrasonic cleaner might be useful..Peace out.

When you do oil and air filter there is nothing that would prevent the bike from starting, unless you stuffed a rag down the air intake. I'm not quite sure what it could be

@@hassanabdelrahman5228 Hello Hassan Everything always comes down to the basics with an engine, Fire, fuel mixture, compression and timing. If you can confirm spark then you've only got 3 more things to check, spray just a little fuel into the intake or directly into the spark plug hole and turn the engine over. If it fires up briefly then you can most like stop right there and look for a fuel delivery problem. If all 4 criteria are met the engine has to run.
I got same bike and i change the oil and filter but it dousnt start why?
If it was starting before it should start, you can literally start an engine without oil and filter, it will blow up within minutes, but it will start. Maybe you disconnected something by mistake like the spark plug or something
Will whene the mecanic did that he start the bike but after tow days i try and yes strat after that no more start i try many times but not and there voice like excplot from the Exhaust

How did you set up the idle? Is there any video???
First set up the fuel/air mixture with the bottom screw, then adjust the idle with the idle knob, but I don't have any videos about it

I have this same bike but I was wondering when I fire my bike up it will rev up by its self what do I do?
If it's all the times, lower the minimum, of it's only at start up adjust the mixture

Your carb should have an idle adjustment screw, it’s usually on the right side, but in some carbs has a short cable that lets you adjust it from the left side without tools, sorry, it’s hard to explain with just words
There's a 2004 Ducati st4s for sale with 11.3k miles on it about 150 miles from you for 4.5k on cycle trader.. If I lived closer I'd take a look at it..It's from a private seller that can't ride anymore. It's looks good from what I can tell from 2100 miles away.. I haven't driven a bike with a chain in awhile..perhaps you can do a video on Ducati maintenance. I'm curious to know how long the chains last as well as the front and rear sprocket and the service that's required..Peace.
I prefer the 2003 and early ST4s models, the 2004 it's kind of boxy, the wear and tear of chain and sprockets changes wildly depending on how you use it and how the bike delivers the power. If I had some spare money I would get that bike just to make some videos about it, but I don't, we are going to have to wait until my channel brings in some, so I can buy random bikes and work on them.

Mines running now and idles great but the exhaust is getting hot pretty fast. So im thinking its running low fuel. Do you now do i need to screw in the pilot screw or out to get it richer.

Hey man , I have an 02 426 that only starts with the hot start engaged. It seems like it runs fine but when I disengage it, it will immediately die. Any thoughts?

I just got a 2002 WR426 about a few days ago before I purchased it the owner started it after 3 kicks after I brought it home and about 100 kicks later it started ran for about 2 mins then shut off and wouldn’t start again , the next day after about 30 kicks or so it started and ran for about 5 mins and shut off and hasn’t been able to turn back on , I’ve replaced air filter , plug , check fuel and spark and even checked out the carb(previous owner had cleaned it two weeks before I purchased it) disconnected the kill switch and check for any wiring that may be faulty but everything seems fine , only thing I haven’t checked was valves as I’m a bit scared to get to that part and feel like messing up lol any tips ?
Check the accelerator pump membrane in the carburetor, make sure it's good.
All the stuff you already changed, the bike should start no problem, there is probably a specific way to start that bike that the previous owner knew, in theory the sequence should be: choke on, blip the throttle 1 or 2 times, then with the throttle closed, pull the decomp lever and bring the piston passed the point where it's nearly impossible to kick, then with the throttle still close kick it hard.

@@AlbesADV hey thanks for the response after I double checked I adjusted the little fuel/air valves and it turned on and I let it idle until I turned it off I repeated this process multiple times it started with every first kick I then decided to assemble the bike back to take it out for a spin and it hasn’t been able to turn back on lol

What do you mean with adjustind idle. Just the big idle screw. Or also the Pilot screw. Mine only starts with some throttle. Maybe you can help
Both, start the bike (however you can) then with the big screw adjust the idle then use the pilot screw to find our the correct settings and re-adjust the big screw. For the pilot screw, start from the factory recommended settings and slowly unscrew it, tge idle will go up and then start coming back down, when it start coming back down stop and go back a little to where the idle was tge highest, at tgat point use the big screw to lower the idle to wherever you want it, it's hard to explain on a message. Another Question do i have to see through the pilot jet. I can see some light but only very few.
Very few is good the hole is the size of the Very tip of the pilot screw
Why no adjustments like fload hight ?
I set the float hight to what the manufacturer recommended, parallel to the carb edge
