@Sergei Serenkov So is Apple' latest models! Skip the 2017,2018 and 2019 models as they are plagued with severe issues and Apple won't cover it. Apple had severe issues with the keyboard and the T2 chip that causes the entire MBP to be wasted (The T2-chip often burns out and is required to acces anything on the SSD in the MBP, so all data is lost after the T2-chip fails). Still want a Vaio for its reliability. And also the machine remains cool and silent even been working for all day. It got all the ports you need no matter at any situation. There's a lot of things that I love about this laptop, especially that it aggressively shuns all the horrible modern trends, the I/O is spectacular, as well as the understated design. But it has too many shortcomings for it to be worth $1900. Maybe a refresh with Ryzen 4000 APUs and a better display. It also needs a trackpoint-type mouse for it to be a business laptop. One modern trend that does make sense on a low powered small laptop is USB-C charging.

I'm getting tired of saying this because noone ever seems to listen, but here I go again: angled keyboards are bad for your wrists. If you're not going for a full ergonomic design the best you can do for you wrists is have something perfectly flat. An angled keyboard that is also non-ergonomic will result in your wrists being twisted "wrongly" in two separate ways, rather than just one wrong way if you had a perfectly flat keyboard.

    A couple things:
While true there are weird things about this laptop I think the market for this is misunderstood. (I wouldn't buy one either but I'm not the market)
Its not so much going for high - end but rather the enterprise which want a light durable laptop with no compromises on ports (Hence the VGA).
th-cam.com/video/D5PbHFeCWu4/w-d-xo.html shows waterproof + durability tests showing if something gets jammed between keys and screen it will be fine.
Sorta why the keyboard has that flex. So at least there is a reason.
    Some unanswered questions.
How was battery life? does the dell fans ramp up if you plug it in as well while doing heavy tasks? Do they offer screen options (Think I saw a 4k option)
That said, even if it has precision drivers that trackpad is tiny!

Corporations play it safe (especially when you have to deploy to a large quantity) and thats what this is for with all ports, even more-so if you go do presentations in tons of places.
wouldn't necessarily recommend it for your average person but different devices for a different market and you can tell this is one of them. Wanting a tank chassis in a 0.8 kg laptop. Stop dreaming. Some compensation has to be made.
Plus something that can be flex does not necessarily mean it has a lower build quality. It just means that it has a lower rigidity.

Elinzar Not liking this laptop much myself, but 4K screen on 13” laptop means slightly better picture quality but for much compromised battery life both from screen itself and load it puts on a GPU. I also never understood idea behind touchscreen on a laptop - not only it’s not very useful in general, if you do your screen is smudged and you need to clean it. I’d say the terrible touchpad is much bigger problem, but that applies to 99% of Windows laptops with very few having what I’d call acceptable.

    • @Elinzar
      @Elinzar 4 ปีที่แล้ว

@@maciejkornatowski3026 yep, its probably not that amazing, but for the price of these products i expect the money goes to something else in the laptop if is not the screen res or the touching capabilities
i prefer to get the tactil 4k screen, set the res in windows to 1080p and call it a day
i may not get the battery life back but i can spare the gpu and still have the 4k if o ever want to use it instead of... nothing

Agreed, I never get the need for a touchscreen on a regular formed laptop, whenever you touch it with your fingers it wobbles plus it's far more efficient with a mouse or other pointing devices... Also I rarely use trackpad, it seems too inefficient and highly unprofessional for serious tasks.

It had terrible build quality, the rubber feet all came off and I lost them, it was heavy, battery life sucked, it was my first laptop my dad got me, I still have it, but its just collecting dust now 😂😂
