I wish for m4 pro drone but I can't afford it it will tear my wallet apart. I'm using m3 for now. I just got an offer for $550 for the aircraft only since I have the RC controller already.
My m3 started disconnecting frequently after the latest update.

So happy to hear about these positive changes made on the Mini 4 pro as well as working in the wind and able to use the goggles with it and handheld RC controller.
Fantastic drone, I have had the mini 2,3, and now 4. It’s great for me as I am disabled and fits into my bag. Your cheat sheets are also brilliant to refer to, so I can make sure I have the right settings. First time. They fit into my bag so easily and I also have them on my phone. What cheat sheets?
@@AndreasHvilhoej Darren has some brilliant cheat sheets, they are little cards that help people fly with different instructions on them. They tell you how to set your drone up for flying, what filters to use, there’s all sorts of different ones. I carry mine all the time, and refer to certain ones on the day I am flying. If you look back on his videos you will find a full and better explanation that I can give. I use mine all the time.

I love my Mini 4 pro, and chose that over the 3 pro mainly because of the waypoints and more sensors but also the O4-transmission was really important and nice to have.
Plus it’s really nice to own the newest thing and don’t miss out on all the awesome features, even tho i wont use them for the mist of the time 😅🎉
The signal is so much better gives you peace of mind it’s not going to disconnect and the d-log m grades really well

The Mini 4 pro is the first drone I own, took it with me to thailand for 2 weeks I enjoyed well and I like it its amazing!

I truly enjoy your content,keep going. I have the mini 3 pro and picked up the air3 at Christmas. Got it mainly because of the power and the zoom lense. The zoom lense is awesome, but having to switch camera is a pain and I often forget to press record after switching.and it messes with spacial awareness. So I find myself using my mini3 it's a soldier, and having focus track you can do anything
You have two awesome drones! I wish the lens switch was faster that’s something I hope will improve but the 70mm lens is hard to beat

I just got the mini 3 pro. I almost feel like I’ve made a big mistake after all this hype over the mini 4 pro which is really not that different I believe or the Autel plus is really great drone and some others at least for beginners like me. Is it me or is this how everything is now top dollar or forget and buying the Dji mini 3 pro wasn’t cheap for me I’m sorry everything is so overpriced now
I’ve had the mini 3 pro before I got my 4, the tracking isn’t as good on the 3 but it still is perfect as a travel drone

I love my Mini 4 Pro. It’s my first drone, so I’m still learning it (with the help of your cheats sheets I would add, they are a GREAT product!). Lov3 the drone features, love the controller, it’s a a quality bit of kit.

My only worry is that I arrive at a great location, but the wind is too much for the Mini 4, and if I would have bought the Air 3, I could have got the shot I needed. When you travel do you use anything to hold the gimbol in place? It retails with a foam pad but there is no instruction to keep it.
It should have come with a cover for the camera. It holds the gimble stable

Going to that area of CA for work soon. Going to take my M3P. Was there any issues in drone law/tests to do there? Do you rely on DJI app for checking restrictions there? I have UK operator and flyer ID. Also the surf looks good. Tempted to take wetsuit!
So you need to take the TRUST exam which is free and also register which doesn’t cost much , you’ll love it brilliant place.
Not having used the mini 4 pro my opinion is the mini 3 pro is excellent ... but we all knew this anyway, the RC2 represents a significant upgrade with the improved connectivity, so my next drone will have an RC2 controller and it won't be the mini 4 pro, will it be the Air 3 well lets wait and see what DJI come up with next, because for now the mini 3 pro just works.
You mention charging your batteries when you’re driving. Do you just plug the USB-C into the car using the standard lead or do you use anything to boost the charging power of the car?

Informative, title is a bit misleading though, spoke mostly about what the M4p is capable of compared to other drones and didn't get onto the M3p until right at the end which was the bit I wanted to watch the video for.
Some great footage there pal, love that volcano shot and los Gigantis i think? I was on that Island in december and got some good shots of Mount Teide and the sea of clouds from my Mini 2. I would love a mini 3pro or M4P as a upgrade. Is the mini 3pro a lot quieter than the mini 2? Keep up thw good work fella.
Hmm ever so slightly quieter, biggest upgrade is the camera quality, sensors and rotating camera

For me, the difference between the mini 3 pro fly more, and the mini 4 pro fly more was $75 on Amazon. It was no-brainer. And, the controller is prime.

Air 3 was perfect for this as it has the 70mm tele camera. The Mini 4 Pro it wouldn’t of been possible

Thanks for this was exactly what I have been looking at. I know CA and Huntington Beach well! I used to live aroud there, now in Kent. The Amzon tip was good. Do you miss the 360 sensors though?
Yes having the 360 obstacle avoidance gives you excellent piece of mind for sure
What ND filters would you recommend for Air3? All day pack ND/PL or freewell nd split filters? And just out curiosity which filter are you using the most 😊
If you fly over water a lot ND/PL but I use normal filters the most , this pack is good and has everything geni.us/W9Brk
I do use nd32 the most but depends on conditions

Can you fly the drone in Los Angeles.....I was reading they are very few places in LA where drones are allowed to fly ?
Very true. If he had the extended batteries it would have triggered the remote ID where they would find him and see all the info of the drone. This is commercial footage so you need a commercial drone pilot license too.

Aside from the m4p, do you think the RC2 remote is worth an upgrade (from the RC remote).
I havebt used the NC2 remote before, but RC2 one is amazing, the screen quality and functionality is very impressive, id say is very likely worth the upfrade

DJI FLY SPOTS is really good now you can search for locations and it will tell you restrictions

In the EU, the mini 4 pro is limited to 120m height limit and limit can no longer be removed as of 2024
Why is it that the channels only speak highly of DJI drones! and hide defects such as the camera fogging up, overheating, etc.! In my opinion, the Autel Evo Nano is better than both the Mini3 Pro and Mini4 Pro in construction quality, signal suffers less interference and image! He has a better camera than both of them but DJI invests in channels!
Maybe because the channels have a good experience with the drones. Also to imply that channels are paid off by DJI is just rude, especially if you have no actual proof.
Also as with most things raw specs are often not the most important thing and construction quality only gets you so far too.
Edit: are these defects you mention ones you have personally experienced or are you just going with what other people have said? Same with the drones you mention, do you or have you actually owned all of them or are you just making comparisons based on what you say online?

I am just learning about drone laws and you needed a commercial drone pilot license for all of your commercial footage. Beautiful shots but watch out if the FAA decides to even bother. I doubt it. It seems everybody else is doing it.
Thing is, if you break any of these laws, who the fuck is gonna know
Im a flight instructor and can sign people off on getting their drone license. All you need to do is show you understand airspace so you don’t crash into planes. It call all be done over zoom its pretty easy.

Can you do a active track test between the mini3 pro and mini4 pro, I bet the mini3 tracks better, my mini3 tracks better than my air 3, my air3 crashed while tracking me walkimg in a place where the mini3 tracked me countless times. i think the mini3 sensor on the front is better than those fish eye sensors on the mini4 and air3, they need dedicated sensors per side not these multidirectional sensors
Hmm interesting
What you are talking about is not the tracking but the obstacle avoidance. And if I would be traveling I would not rely on obstacle avoidance to begin with or you won't have a drone at all. It is for this reason why I much prefer follow-me. I can put the drone at larger distance from any obstacles. And the drone won't lose you. It can be very annoying having to stop and ride back the whole time. Try use that inner outer circle thing on a touchscreen while riding a bike.
It's amazing how many people crash their DJI drone because of the obstacle avoidance. They all think it works flawlessly. But if it works 99% of the time, it means of every 100 minutes flying you crash it 1 full minute.
Why DJI cripples their products by leaving out follow-me I have no idea. It is much safer when used right and I have full control. The best sensors are those in my head I was born with. The shots often look smoother too.
Not that I am against active-track. It's a great feature. But it is not superior to follow-me. It's different. Ask people cycling around the world. Nobody uses active track. They fly their drone manually, or use follow-me if they have it. There ain't no DJI service center in the Sahara desert or Patagonia.
What’s hard with the mini 4 is that a mini 5 is likely coming soon with the new gimbal/camera from the pocket 3? I want one, as I’m about to leave on a 5 month long road trip around North America… but bah.

I have the 3 Pro and Air 2s and - here's the important bit (that reinforces your stance here m'man!) - I see NO need for the 4 Pro unless, like the camera folks, you're trying to 'impress' people and you think you'll bring home better images/footage. Don't waste yer money.
It's the SAME argument as still camera folks have that think 'The Latest And Greatest' means 'I Take Better Pictures'.

Exactly I'm still flying mini 2, great drone social media downgrades it even if youv got a 4k tv. Only one can see the actual quality is yourself straight off your sd card
