Those interested in reading a Japanese pilot's account of the air battle over Wake should read 'The Miraculous Torpedo Squadron', the autobiography of Juzo Mori. Only recently translated into English, Mori's memoir describes his life in pre-war Japan, training to become an IJN pilot, flying in China, training for and carrying out the attack on Pearl Harbor, and his roles in the attacks on Wake, Midway and Guadalcanal. This is a must read for students of the Pacific War.
There was a Marine Wildcat pilot during the Guadacanal campaign who ran out of ammunition while attacking bombers that were targeting US Navy ships. He proceeded to crank down his landing gear and then repeatedly slammed down on top of one of them until it finally departed flight and crashed into the ocean.

I wanted too make this aswell in wt as accurate as i could. Spent so much time. But had so many issues. No nells. Ai not being able to bomb properly. (Would drop all bombs at once) with no fix. No accurate weather for the time. I managed to get them to shoot there bomber machine guns at invisible positions as described. An no accurate ships. Good job tho.
Well, if you want to make these things in WT (or in other games for that matter), you have to be ready for some compromises. I think the only other option is making animation from scratch.
Awesome video!
Glad you enjoyed it
