I remember my old man prof, he calls us HUMan SuperstarS. Yun daw ang ibig sabihin ng HUMSS para sakaniya dahil hindi daw biro maging HUMSS student. Sa STEM, ABM and other mga strand nakukuha daw ang kanilang mga sagot by the means of formula. Merong pattern na sinusundan unlike sa pamamaraan ng mga HUMSS Student, you have to think really critically sa mga debate, reasoning and pagiging creative sa pagsusulat. Walang pattern. You really have to piga piga your mind 😆

im confident enough sa former school ko kase di gaano crowded dun , but whenever na iisipin ko na mas maraming students sa next school na pupuntahan ko is nagri-rise up ung anxiety ko.
as an introvert, di ko sanay makisalamuha sa napakalaking crowd. as in. but I'll try.

After the Pandemic, my social skills have immensely deteriorated and I got stage fright. I have a fear of public speaking, I stutter a lot and my mind just goes blank. My family says that HUMSS is the perfect strand for me since I don't face much trouble with English. I agree with them and it's true, English is the easiest subject for me and HUMSS is a perfect fit, but I'm anxious. I deeply regret not having done anything during the Pandemic for two years, I didn't try to interact with anyone and just sat in my room, answering modules without a care in the world. Thanks to that, my social skills have basically disappeared. Compared to my peers, I fall way behind when it comes to socializing. I'm way too quiet nor do I try to answer in any recitation, causing my grades to have a setback.
Currently, I'm trying to take STEM instead of HUMSS, simply because I'm afraid. Afraid of speaking publicly, socializing, and more. Not that I'm saying STEM does not include socializing or speaking publicly, I suppose I'm only picking STEM just because it has way less activities requiring public speaking.
On my experience as a graduating senior in humss,hindi sya mahirap,this strand is more on PUBLIC SPEAKING,WRITING,READING,AS WELL AS MEMORIZING.Yong talagang medyo mahihirapan kayo,lahat ng strand is yong paggawa ng RESEARCH PROPOSAL,dito masusubukan yong communication skill niyo,participation,at leadership,kaya suggest ko sa mga aspiring humss,dapat sanayin na ninyo sarili niyo sa reading,and fast comprehension,at as possible aralin niyo na din yong parts ng PROPOSAL RESEARCH.
Memorizing lang problema ko :(

My family keeps on pushing me to take STEM kasi daw dun aligned yung psychology since puro science daw, pero the main reason why I like to take this strand is that I want improve my confidence pati communication skills kasi it's a must buong buhay mo pati dito ko nakikita sarili ko. I get their point pero sana i -support nila ako na HUMSS gusto ko talagang kunin T~T

@@jianligangoso4073 Hi! It's been three years na, and I actually took HUMSS and I'm currently a AB Psychology student! Masasabi ko na sa pagtake ko ng HUMSS, talagang nakatulong siya ma-enhance 'yung pagsulat ko ganiyan pati 'yung communication skills. It was really fun to study humanities and social sciences kasi syempre, it focuses more sa tao kaya makikita mo 'yung inaaral mo sa everyday lives mo, and it makes you more open sa social issues that our country and world are facing hehe ^__^
Pero ayon, even though my family was pushing me to take STEM since it's more practical daw at mas maraming opportunities, I still chose 'yung gusto ko talaga at hinding-hindi ako nagsisi hehe kaya if you are experiencing 'yung naeexperience ko, ipaglaban mu! That's what I did kahit na medyo malabo nung una, pero at the end of the day, ikaw at ikaw pa rin naman ang mag-aaral, so yeah! 💗
I'm not good at writing.
My handwriting was the worst you'll ever see, but in the opposite, my speaking, communication, and self-confidence were the best of the best, and I'm going to use it as my weapon and my writing as a strength to improve more and more.

I used to do story telling and i loved it but i stopped doing it and when i got back from story telling i then realized i had social anxiety and couldnt say the words right and at first my parents was against me choosing HUMSS because they want me to be in STEM but sadly i'm very slow in math and now my parents finally agreed to let me be in HUMSS i wanna face my fear i want to bring my confidence back.

As a HUMSS student hindi biro ung mga lessons and subs kelangan talaga na magaling ka sa oral recitations and written works. I have a lot of difficulties and doubts at first ,but I am grateful kase nakasama pa din ako sa with honors nung 1st sem. There are some adjustments pa din kase lalo na kapag hindi ka magaling sa recitation. But I realized na I really need to focus on my studies because I chose the Humss strand.

I'm a HUMSS Student.First day palang namin at sinabi na agad saamin kung ano ba dapat naming iexpect sa strand na tinake namin. Actually hindi ko alam kung kakayanin ko ba to or what , pero kahit medyo takot ako itrytry ko yung best ko para makasurvive dito. Sana hindi ako mahirapang mag adjust kasi I'm only 13 years old when pandemic happened. And now I'm 15 years old and already an grade 11 student. Thank you for the tips 💗

I think this is the perfect strand for me. I have social anxiety pero i'm into writing HAHA don't mind me kahit 14 years old palang ako mabuting may plano na para shs ang pag hahandaan ko nalang yung debate about politics etc.

I say tama ate dun sa part na akala mo dimo kaya pero kaya mo pla haha, nong grade10 pa ako i hate writing talaga i prefer to solve math problems than writing but now everything change, i choose humss para ma open yung doors ko sa mga bagay na diko alam gawin kaya ayon co'z of humss din di ko ini-expect na magiging editorial writer ako haha i thought magiging isang mathinik lng ako but pwede pa pala madagdagan yung knowledge ko and now i already love writing lol

Before, I am undecided if anong course kukunin sa college so sabi ko sa sarili ko na I'll take GAS na lang. Pero hindi ako satisfied sa decision ko dahil parang I'm lost in the middle of the dark forest 🤣 So I always ask for God's guidance and na sana bigyan nya ako ng signs para maliwanagan ako if what strand ba ang gusto kong kunin that'll help me sa college. Then, one day, gumising na lang ako na desidido na ako mag-HUMSS. Enrolled na ako for S.Y 2021-2022 as a HUMSS student and these tips helped me a lot. Confident din ako dahil alam kong most of my strengths ay bagay sa pagiging isang HUMANISTA 😁
I'm currently a Grade 11 HUMSS student and I'm struggling so much for this strand and I can say that because of Covid 19 I really can't gain knowledge . I can't understand our subjects . That feeling that you'll ask yourself did you really know what's the concept of HUMSS or did you gain knowledge of that strand ? Actually In my mind us of now is I need to submit my modules in time , I need to comply it before the grading period . I know that I'm just wasting my time . 😭😭😭😭😭 I can't feel the HUMSS strand because of that Covid 19 .
Yeah that's what i'm thinking din. Because of pandemic you'll need to discover things through internet and for me thats not enough because for me it's better to discover things in person and i'm stock on what strand i should be choosing in the next sy, basically K12. But if you think positively then you'll survive this as long as your hardworking and passionate about it.

Before mag pandemic sociable akong tao like sobrang ingay ko pero nung nag pandemic at nag back to f2f parang kulang nalang maputulan ako ng tuhod,kasi diko dama na may tuhod ako kapag nasa harapan ako. Nung bata ako hindi ako sociable not until nag G7 ako and G8 until now balik pagka bata ako na hindi na mahilig makipag usap
Same. Akala ko ako lang nakakaramdama at nakakaranas neto. Siguro kailangan lang naten mag back on track kung saan tayo na developed yung pagiging socialize naten ule kung pano tayo naka move o naka alis sa comfort zone naten kung pano naten yung nalagpasan practice lang ulet para maging permanent ule saten yun at bumalik. Malaking epekto talaga sating lahat ang pandemic lockdowns hayss tsk ❤💯🔥🐯👊✌☝👍

May I know how you survived on English for academic and professional purposes? ito kasi yung common na sinasabi nila na medyo mahirap kasi kakaunti lang yung explanation sa books.
Hi! Sa amin kasi saktuhan lang siya since yung teacher namin, mas napadali nya yung lessons. More on objectives ganun tapos yung sa books mas pinapasimple niya kasi kaya mas naiintindihan namin. If need mo ng tulong, message mo lang ako. I can also give you some reviewers na meron pa ako 😊

I think I can? Lol. Hobby ko po pagsusulat at medyo magaling naman yata ako sa English kasi minsan nanunuod po ako ng English Lessons and I can memorize, yan po pinaka-asset ko. Sa debate at public speaking po talaga ako natatakot, kaya kong makipagsagutan pero pag inaatake na ng anxiety naba-blanko na utak ko, plus the fact na lagi nilang pinupuna na mahina raw boses ko kahit nilalakasan ko naman :

Nung Gr.11 ako STEM and kinuha kong strand sa SHS, ngayon na nag Gr.12 ako kung papalarin sana mapagswitch ng strand I will choose HUMSS. Dahilan ko lang naman kung bakit ito yung pinili kong strand, actually ayoko talaga sa math, kasi pag stem student ka matatackle talaga dun lahat ng klase ng Math, ngayon na Gr.12 ako gusto ko lang subukan kung yung confidence ko ay mayroon pang ibubuga at yung pagsasalita ko sa maraming tao ay makakatulong ba para mawala yung hiya ko sa sarili ko.
Hi tanong lang po kung sakali po bang iba ang strand ko sa Gr.11 junior highschool pwede di rin po bang iba din ang strand ko sa Gr.12 Senior highschool? O kung anong strand sa junior highschool dapat ganun din sa senior highschool?? Sana po masagot salamat po in advance ❤✌💯🔥🐯☝

Hi! Practice lang nang practice! ☺️ I advice you to use it more often and practice ka sa mirror. But karamihan naman sa subjects ay English so you don’t really have to worry 😊

I have crippling Social Anxiety, I get Hand Tremors when nervous, ADHD, GAD, My voice shakes when I talk in front, I tend to forget things when nervous. And I have no choice but to choose HUMSS, pls send help (but I always wanted to be a Psychologist)

Hi! It takes time to know what you really want. May mga naging classmate ako na pumasok sa humss kahit na hindi sila sure. And sinasabi rin ng teachers na ganun daw talaga minsan na kahit college na di mo pa rin alam gusto mo. I think that’s why marami rin nagshishift ng course 😊
