This video shows that not only is it important to be able to make the shots, but equally important is the ability to control that cueball after making the shot to position it for the next shot. Anybody who follows the methods in this video and practices them will be a much better pool player in a short period of time. Thank you once again Sharivari! All of your videos are awesome!
Positional play is almost equally important as shotmaking. If you make the balls and don't have an easy shot next, it's worthless and vice versa. You're very welcome John!
Yes. I’m a beginner but remembering all the different areas when striking the cue and it’s reaction is very difficult. I’m thinking this comes only with practice?
I fully understand setting up for the next shot, but being a beginner I’m really concentrating on just sinking a ball. I understand and ur point is well taken about setting up for the next shot. I think I really need to learn cue ball control and the next shot will come. Am I headed in the right direction?

This video took by far the most time to produce with over 40 hours. If you enjoyed it leave a thumbs up, comment and share. Congratulations Lori! And thanks to Maxime for supporting me. Thanks guys!
I've been trying to find out about the physics of the game. It really helps me to understand why the cueball moves as it does. Very informative. Thank you for all your videos. they have been most helpful
First thank you for the vid. My problem is how to line up the entire cue. Should I line up the cue as a straight shot, then just move the tip an leave the rear in place. Or should I shift the entire cue. I'm sure it's a dumb question.
Best descriptive video I’ve ever seen on understanding Q ball movement. Your use of dynamic diagraming is unique and adds a new dimension on how to control the Q ball with different types of shots.
ANY VIDEOS THAT SHARIVARY MADE WAS SO HELPFUL! I CAN LEARN FROM HIS WAY OF EXPLAINING OTHER THAN ANYONE ELSE. I PLAYED A LOT BETTER THAN BEFORE BY JUST WATCHING HIS VIDS AND PRACTICING IT
Ive told all my Pool playing buddies about your videos. The time you take to make these videos is really worth it for the viewer. I havent seen anyone do it better.
That aramith ball set was an awesome prize to win! I bought a set as a holiday gift for a friend 12 years ago and it cost $125 at the time. Nice raffle sir 😄
Your side spin video that you mentioned is directly responsible for it becoming a part of my shot repertoire, teaching me to recognize it as an additional shape solution and the subsequent overall improvement in my game that came along with it. 😄 thank you for making these vids because they got added to my list of video recommendations for anyone that asks every time I get the opportunity :)
Hey Will. Yeah that was really nice from Aramith to sponsor the ball set. Glad to hear that I could help you. And thanks for recommending my videos to others :)
Your vids are excellent. They help appreciate how to play better on our new pool table. The new table was a pact made with my wife in 1987, when we had to sell our Brunswick pool table, because of moving costs (then over $1200. for moving & reassembly). 2020 finally came for the realization of that pact being kept. Keep up the knowledge base for home players, to continue to improve. Thanks.
Congrats to Lori Acton. Not sure why this video has 5 dislikes so far but I guess there are always going to be negative people. Brilliant video! One part of this video has already helped me realize a problem I had. It was on follow and hitting the ball harder. I have always done that but never ever was able to hit the rail where I wanted. This physics part of this is counter intuitive but is accurate. This will for sure help my game. Very much appreciate the work that went into this. I make videos for business clients and I know when making a video like this a lot of time and effort goes into it. Very well done.
I think I already have some haters. My videos often got disliked even after 1 minute. But doesn't matter :) Yeah if you make videos yourself I am sure you know how much work it was. But it was worth it!
Have a decal on my cue called the Cue Ball Tracker that shows the 30 and 90 degree lines. Shots using center ball or below usually come off the object ball at 90 degrees but was having issues with shooting above center with the cue ball not going on the 30 degree line all the time. After seeing the cue ball paths at the different speeds you used when going above center on the video, now i get it! Great video!
This will soon be the #1 video on your channel, guaranteed! I've never seen someone cover so much in only 12 minutes! This will help so many "C" players struggling to achieve the next level, and is beneficial to ANYONE (and any skill level) out there who loves the game. Never boring, informative, deliberate, awesome! This is exactly what the game needs right now, keep up the good work and thanks for the videos!
Every video is telling me about the stun shot, I have been searching for whole day about what makes of the potted ball keep rolling forward with the same direction, Finally you have showed me❤️
I’m a novice learning. This is real informative. It’s difficult to remember in-game all the different reactions the cue will have depending on where you strike the cue. I guess that comes with practice.
Sharivari - Your videos are the best for numerous reasons. They are full of knowledge yet simple and direct and don't require a thourough understanding of advanced geometry to apply them. You always show appropriate points of view and use nice graphics. I really don't waste my time with other channels anymore.
Hey look at this, it's ONE day old and already over 21,000 views. You've come a long way! As to this lesson, it's as usual very well done and topical for me right now. It's the little things that you understand and communicate so well that puts you at really an elite level in this field IMO. Thanks :)
Outstanding man. I’ve never seen pool explained this way. With so much information. A lot of people will keep this knowledge to themselves. I bet you are a amazing player.
you really a great teacher, you have made me to be one of the greatest pool player in my community through watching your videos, especially this one,,,, keep it up.
Best video by far, your effort is very much appreciated. You are dedicated and a perfect example of someone who really enjoys what they do. keep going strong. Thanks.
Dude, your videos just keep getting better and are now on a whole other level. The amazing graphics make something so difficult to explain much easier to grasp. Great job!
Great job! Thanks for explaining the results of the bank shot with upper and lower spin, very useful. Maybe one day when I visit my family in Germany we can shoot a game.
Great video!! I’m a strong B player and I am still getting a lot of great info to improve my game. Thank you for keeping it simple and easy when so many people don’t. I will use this to show the weaker players on my teams an easier way to play. Thanks again
Thanks for another great video. I'm amazed by how much difference there is between US pool and UK pool/snooker because of the ball size. With the smaller UK balls you really have to go extreme on the screw or top to get anything like these effects and the same goes for running or check side (outside or inside English,as you'd say). I guess it's due to the extra weight of the balls giving more grip on the cloth and cushions and greater angular momentum.
