As a pilot myself, I'm not surprised the level the police went in order to arrest/question them, post 9-11 any security regarding planes or private property used by aviation branches is taken stupidly seriously, just stay clear of any thing to do with aircraft

When I was studying photography in London there was a student from Syria in the year above me. He did a project on the underground, taking long exposures. He had a camera on a tripod, and if you take photographs with a tripod, security and Police think you’re doing something “professional” or sinister. Because there are a lot of stupid people in this world.
He was spotted at several stations on CCTV, arrested on suspicion of terrorism, and had his laptops, phone, cameras etc taken off him like this lad. It took about 8 months to get it back. (Edit: he also asked permission, and was granted it in writing by Transport for London, many students do projects on the underground, it was completely down to his nationality).
He didn’t have the money to replace it all, and all of his work was obviously taken. This guy was lovely, he worked hard, and didn’t want to blow anything up. He was creating work for his degree, not plotting to kill everyone at Ealing fucking Broadway station.
Anyway he failed the year, which was his last. The Police couldn’t copy the data and and give him his equipment back, or his dissertation on a USB stick. That would take too much common sense or paperwork. Too much effort. Who gives a shit right?

I remember Nightscape. Absolutely loved his content, doing things I couldn’t have even dreamed of. Always thought he came across a little bit simple about the magnitude of what he was doing, and a bit arrogant or ignorant about it at times. But he’s actually fairly articulate and thoughtful. And can only respect the incredible things he’s done in his life. The likes of him, Ally Law and Ryan Taylor didn’t get the credit they deserved.

Imagine if they were up to no good and they sabotaged a plane and a lot of people lost their lives. Scape obviously wasn't, but the police couldn't have known that, it's understandable and justified why the police took the action they did.

I'm pretty sure I've been to that Airport, I don't know how he thought it wasn't being used any more. It's only a small airport yes, but it's still modern and used often.
It looks to me like it was Doncaster/Robin Wood Airport. I often book from here to avoid queing, decent airport.

Idk whether he does this already but it seems like it would be a great idea to have a head cam on things like this recording everything. That way you always have a full account of what you did just in case.

I’m glad it took 7 months and had his stuff the entire time. Aviation is a serious matter! What he did could’ve cost people their lives. What is that plane had just cleared inspection to fly, and he accidentally threw something out of sync or deactivated a safety feature? Not to mention, what if his videos had contained proprietary or confidential information? There are so many reasons I’m glad his actions had consequences. I just watched a TH-cam video on kids who think that doing selfish, inconsiderate things like that is the key to success...I love TH-cam and defend content creators all the time, but dumb 💩 like this probably isn’t the best thing to glorify, I’m sure there are a lot of other stories y’all could’ve talked about.

The reason this can take up to 7 months is because of DNA testing and ascertaining evidence to figure out if they have enough evidence to prove that he was guilty for what they arrested him for or to find him not guilty. @Happy Hour Podcast

Yea so just for any kids or young people that watch this video thinking what this guy does it cool!... Think again!!. This guy & his friends like ally law, Ryan Taylor etc have utterly destroyed their lives. As you can see from this video they are all on terrorism watch lists, here in the UK, USA, multiple countries in Europe, Interpol are watching them, they are banned from every tourist attraction in the UK, specifically those owned by the Merlin group (they own all the main ones in the UK), most sporting events/premises like football stadiums, racing tracks, bridges, tunnels, their banned from entering the USA, they will get stoped and questioned at all airports, ports etc. They have been sued by multiple companies such as football clubs, they will be paying & are paying that off for the rest of their lives!. Basically they are marked will be watched and monitored for the rest of their lives, their effectively unemployable!. So if their social media accounts get banned or dry up their lives are utterly destroyed!.
