Rudy Blanco from San Antonio Alamo A Club noticed you have the spark lever up! This is the timing retard position just for starting. If you drive with the lever up it will create high temperature especially in the head area and can burn through a head gasket pretty darn quick. Pull down the lever to about ¾ of the way after starting and only move it up if you hear pinging or knocking. This is all based on having the timing set to specs to begin with. Good luck!
Thank you for the information. I do tend to forget to pull it down. Especially when I first got her. However, it also moves slowly back up. I haven't had time to look at why yet. It's slow, and occasionally I realize and push it back down. Nevertheless, I need to get better at it. Thanks for the information.
At the very least, you don't have to mess with the valve train. These old Fords were so simple to work on. Old Mabel will be back to her old self in no time at all.

Gotta Love Mable😁
Awesome job Jim !
Research MAFCA radiator flow, tank should hold 1 1/2 gallons with hoses plugged.
I guess you would think of cleaning a coffee maker with vinegar. Cleans all scale build up.
Yep, old Mabel needs radiator pulled, rodded out, she don't flow like she used to
All no not brain surgery it's always bad when you get your head worked on. I'm sure Mabel will be just fine.
Working on Mabel's head I am sure will be fine. Now my own head, I not so sure about. Thank you for the response.

190 doesn’t seem excessive.
