    For people worried about the thermals: they actually look great! Might not be obvious to people skipping through, but there are 3 separate floors, each floor has case fans near the windows making for a very efficient air-flow! Not to say it's an optimal setup, but the thermals are better than the off-the-shelf computers we used before!

      As a computer tech, I wasn't worried about the thermals. However if you have to work on anything regarding the motherboard, it's going to be a PITA to work on it, considering you have a large radiator with short wires and hoses fed through that hole. Good luck with that.

      Maybe tag a good tech TH-camr, and ask them to have a look? :) My top pick would be Gamers Nexus. They're very busy though. But there's lots of other tech TH-camrs. :) I noticed that some of us had comments about the tech side of the build. But there is no way of knowing who is skilled or not amongst the tech comments.

    Great build! I would just advise, for such a "case", to make both fans suck in the air creating a positive pressure with a fine steel mesh (or so) as dust filter. If you have most fans blowing air outside, creating a negative pressure, all windows and small kracks and holes will start to collect dust. With a positive pressure only the two fans will get a bit dusty but all other places will just vent out warm air. Just some long term advice ^^.

      Well it works and most certainly looks amazing, but she did quite a few mistakes. You usually finish up the motherboard except AIO and GPU outside of the case. The biggest oof is propably that she removed the cpu cover, which is supposed to pop out when you push down the lever, you can see it at 15:56 it's still there and after the cut it's removed. She also forgot some peels and only one intake on the MB/GPU compartment which is not even directed at the GPU is definetely not sufficient. The PSU fan is inside of the compartment and therefore relies soely on negative pressure intake which will suck in dust and is inefficient.

    • @Davmm96
      @Davmm96 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@wsapalas It's a computer not an oven, wooden patios don't catch fire even if they are exposed to a scorching summer sun. Anyhow, your computer will shut down if it reaches temps deemed dangerous for the hardware, as my old ass AMD cpu showed me will trying to survive a gaming session in a hot summer night.
      Plus, many PC parts have plastics already (like the case of a graphics cards, the racks for some hard drives, the plastic around cables...)
      Unless you decided to watercool your computer with gasoline, there's really nothing wrong. Best exemple is how you can carry a computer in your pocket without it catching fire even though its completely in a plastic case (e.g. your smartphone)

    • @wsapalas
      @wsapalas 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Davmm96 The question is not that it will catch fire, the question is if it catches fire, it is still an electronic component subject to failures, many modern Samsung cell phones exploded for no reason, so besides the question that the colder the processor works the better , there is still the question that if it has a short circuit or some fault it will not be wrapped in a flammable material, besides the wood absorbs heat, comparing a computer with a wooden patio is like comparing a car with a broom.

      There is such a huge volume of air and good airflow (at least if all the fans are mounted so they co-operate) that it won't get warm in there really, I'd guess air temps in that case will be something like 30C max for a 20C ish room, and honestly I'd expect the air temp in there to be nearly ambient, its rather better ventilated than any steel PC case I've ever seen, even the largely mesh ones tend to use a much finer more restrictive mesh - so that just leaves the exhaust air temp being too high, but as the bulk of that should come out the back side even if it does soften the hot glue (and it would have to be the very low temp hot glue) who cares..

    You should make a house just like that, but add an interior. Then when you take apart the layers you can look at it. In fact you could make a whole civilization with a lot of tiny houses

      But think how many _bricks_ they'd have to make :,)

      One way to avoid individual bricks is to carve out stone patterns from one large piece of Styrofoam using a hot knife. You can then attach the panel to the structure as one piece. I don't know if my description is accurate enough so you can see it in your head.

    Cardboard Aided Design (CAD), always worth a try and generally works very well, especially with the duct tape add-on package 😊

    I wish I could do this stuff without these problems:
    1. My parents worrying
    2. Me not having the resources

    Very cool to see, not just the computer built into the model (which is amazing!), but the planning process and techniques for such a large piece of terrain all together in one video.

    Try decorating the screen with the same theme so they match, I think that would be very cool!

    Your artistic vision and execution blows my mind every time. This was so amazing to watch. You didn't just mod a case, you literally created a case. I would love something like this for my own system. Keep doing what you do. You are VERY talented.

    I could see this on a desk that’s designed to be a backdrop for the house. Scenery and clever tricks to make everything computer blend into something more organic. Great job!

    Ooo. You could replace the wood between each floor with like latic metal to increase airflow. Probably open some fan slots in the bottom floor to allow fan intake then have the roof shingles have gaps to alow air to flow out. Would be a good way to reduce the beat of the system.

    This IS the coolest thing you've ever made! Unbelievable how you managed to fit every single piece in there without distorting the proportions of the house. Great work, really inspiring!

    damn i was pretty interested to see how you were gonna pull of the hardline cooling but it was probably a really good call to go with the AIO instead. there's more than enough DIY on this build any way.
    I swear every time a new layer of detail was added on the paint i would think it looked so realistic then another layer would be added and id realize how goofy it looked with out it. great build.

    I love the idea of this house existing in a fantasy world and people being thoroughly confised by the rear of the building having strange black ports and buttons.
    God knows what would happen if they went inside.

  • @Buzzling
    @Buzzling 2 ปีที่แล้ว +20

    And now you have to build a "portal"-type case for the display and you got yourself a fantasy setup! Great job!
