When the diorama assembly montage starts and there is absolutely no question that every single detail was necessary and fit the theme, this is always when my heart starts racing and my eyes open wide like I'm a kid again experiencing something new for the first time. The amount of creativity, skill, ingenuity, story telling, technology, video editing, energy, etc is just off the charts where you forget there's a chart at all and can't help but love every second of these videos. Well done Nerdforge!
The thumbnail dosent do it justice. This is such a beautiful model. I love how the foliage isn't too much, and that black paint wash made those corners pop. Very good job. I feel inspired now.
Let me start by stating up-front that I have no artistic ability at all. I want to make a "book nook" but have not had the nerve to even start planning it. You explain things so well and you are so supportive that you make me believe that I may actually be able to build a "book nook". Thank you so much for sharing your extraordinary ability and effusive personality!
Never know until you try? I am the worst artist and painter in the world, and can't manage anything more than a black wash, but turns out I'm pretty good at miniature work. Maybe you'll end up enjoying it
You are absolutely able to! Just keep in mind that stuff doesn’t hv to be perfect n ull always learn n evolve along the way. There’s always the option of changing n fixing up n adding stuff later. There r also super cheap material options if u buy second hand from an app for example ^-^
Another thing I love about this channel is the comments - they're always so wholesome and supportive; you see people everywhere lifting each other up and encouraging them - which, in social media these days is becoming increasingly rare. This whole channel, everything they create, and everything they stand for is to me, the pinnacle of what TH-cam _should_ be about. Long may Nerdforge, continue! Idk about you, but I find the most difficult thing about embarking on a project is often the overriding fear of Just Getting Started, and all the conversations in our head convince us it will come out rubbish or we just can't do it. I really hope you have found a way to get over any initial resistance - if not, this little nudge is to encourage you to begin. Do it _with_ someone if it helps - remember Nerdforge work as a team... Bon voyage! 🤍
holy cow that was an intense final result reveal with wicked light & wind effects, love this build so freaking much & arilla's amazing minatures, thank you for the tip to her insta, beautiful & inspired painting on all of her creations!
Watching this video right after finally starting to play my most anticipated game was wow. I was hyped about Dying Light 2 for so long and the game is *chef's kiss* and this diorama really feels like I'm in the game, standing on some rooftop, looking at the city
That cork asphalt idea was straight genius - I think one of the most impressive things about what you guys do is look at a finished product and figure out (down to the tiniest detail) how you'd construct it. Incredible
I like how as she puts that clock there so we can see how long it truly takes for her create those Masterpieces Edit: I didn't expect to get so many likes
I totally agree. Other videos make it feel like art is fast and thus simple, and then we get impatient spending time on ours. Seeing that it takes talented people with knowledge and experience a while too puts everything into perspective.
Ya know, Martina and co., y’all can’t just keep making every project the coolest thing you’ve ever done. It’s unsustainable. We will absolutely accept a “just cool” project instead of a hyper-realistic post apocalyptic nightmarescape to make you question whether we’re all truly living in one of your dioramas. Consistently upping the game with every project, y’all are insane.
I've just watched this one for the second time because I needed a Nerdforge fix. I know these builds take a long time but I miss you guys! You are absolutely my very favorite diorama/diy channel. More, more!
I always thought it would be so cool to have a hiding spot in your dioramas. Like a hidden treasure area where you may hide anything you want. A secret compartment.
Every now and then I feel "Nerdforge has outdone itself". This was another such video!! Loved the paint job on the buildings and domes. And the diffused LED light strips, and the trash cans and garbage bags, and the broken bridge, and the graffiti, and the ........... xD
My jaw hurts from hitting the table repeatedly. I am in constant awe of the breadth of talent and the depth of imagination Martina and Hansi(?) demonstrate on a regular basis. Superb craftspersonship, as always.
I literally have no words.....WOW....just wow!!!! The amount of details...from the railings to the trash bags...the foliage...the newspaper....absolutely amazing!!!!
That diorama must be one of the best one's I've seen in a long time, absolutely stunning! And the first couple of shots with the alleyway and the debris blowing through the street? fantastic!
Incredible. So many times, I think as many times as you've uploaded a video, I have said out loud while watching, in silent concentration, "..incredible...". But this one, it hit me on so many levels, the tiny neon signs, the composite board street, the miniatures painted by that awesome woman I immediately paused the video to go follow, mushing the broken up popsicle sticks in ink and paint to make them look exactly like rotten wood, the graffiti, everything. Literally everything put into this project made me so happy and excited to see how it turns out. I hope this channel continues for many many more years. As soon as I start making more money, I'm definitely subscribing to this Patreon. I've never Patreoned to anything, but this one I actually really want to, so I can see more stuff!
Incredible work. I feel like I say that every time but I’m blown away every time, too! The details are incredible and it actually has that feeling of dread looking around the abandoned street, the broken windows where anything could be hiding, alleyways and doors where things lurk. And then the little signs of life - The bar and the leftover bottles, the lights still working. Credit to Hansi for the lights as they look perfect 👍 Definitely a quality build and lots of great tips for others to try on their own dioramas. For a future project I think you need to jazz up that clock you use to track build times! A really awesome NerdForge clock that you can proudly display off to the side as you work! It could either be fantasy based in wood and magical lights, in cyber punk neons, or like todays post apocalyptic style. I know you both would come up with something epic.
I also thought what if when you started a project you had a button on the clock and it would keep counting until you hit the stop button and it would show you how many days/hours/minutes the build took. You could either start the clock every time you started working on it for the day, or just have it always counting into you finished the project. Just a thought 💭
frickin love with this channel, it brings me so much joy and peace of mind to watch someone else stress over a project but then create something diabolically incredible.
I am a French subscriber who has been following you for almost a year and I am amazed by your talent. Your projects are all more crazy and incredible than the others! This one in particular is magnificent! There are so many details, textures, painting. It's so realistic! Congratulations !
This is one that is so over the top, and looks so good, that i actually don't know the right words, that can explain how freaking awsome this actually is, and all the hours this had to take, is mindbogeling to think about, amazing amazing work Martina, and Hansi.
Was a little upset you didn't use any Cocoa Krispies cereal boxes, but once you started building it I got over it. hahaha Great seeing your man doing the domes. NICE!!! And the buildings look stupendous. Oooh and the filament lights were great. Arilla's miniatures were a nice added touch. Nice to see you adding other talents to your projects. The cork sheet worked really well as the asphalt street. Great idea. I still have some cork left from the trumpet wah/wah mute I fixed many years ago. The details were to die for. Especially the small beer bottle and the many plants and greenery. You guys outdid yourselves on this one. I was once working on set in Hollywood making props for "People Under the Stairs" a Wes Craven movie, when one of the window frames (life size) got a broken window pane. Seriously I didn't do it. I was on a break. lol Any way I was about to fix it when the director saw it an said "Leave it like that it will add more realism to the set." That's when I told everyone I did it. lol Your windows reminded me of that. I love watching you guys. You both are the most interesting on You tube. I watch and always look forward to seeing your newest adventures. Thank you so much for your entertainment, and sharing Oh and last but not least I looked at the end a few times in .25 slo mo speed. I love the Dying Light games and when I tell you my jaw was on the floor in awe of the meticulous small details like the air conditioners on the outside of the buildings, and the lights! So so so cool! You did the game so much justice!!
There are no words to appreciate this. Those bodies dangling from the bridge...the smell...ugh. that chair and tables by the bar with signs of life, like someone is watching the city from above. Just Superb. Everything is aged so well, the graffiti, weeds, grime
I LOVE Martina’s hands in this! Those are TRUE *Builder Hands* she could go to any metal fab, woodworking, auto shop in the world, walk up to the burliest roughneck and if they took one look at her hands they’d assume she was a trades-person like them. Those are hands you EARN! Haha! As I write this I look up and see that Hans has matching hands! You cats rock!

@@antonisskarmeas6363 I love how you photographed them outdoors. The open environment and awesome backdrops really increased the appearance and scale of your dioramas. What material did you make those castles with, and HOW did you make such a perfect circle for that courtyard?
@@Jadebones Thank you very much for your kind words ... the whole building is made from the inside with model paper and from the outside lined with clay ... I made the circle from the inside first with cardboard and then I glued a thin layer of clay on it. The post apocalyptic diorama turned out cool. Though personally would of loved to see more distruction to the buildings, like bricks or holes in them things like that. Though also understand why you didn't too. Since the insides would of need to have some paint jobs. STILL AMAZING. Your work keeps getting better and better every time!
Actually I would watch this vid even when it's an hour long. Nevertheless, the effort everytime I watch you guys is astonishing. And I'm really glad that I got to discover your channel last december. Putting up a content like this deserve more than a million views.
Oh WOW! Great work! I've been wanting to do dioramas for a long time now. After I settle in my new home I will finally have time. It'll be great getting tips and ideas.
Years ago I spent some time doing various Wall Murals for hair salons, restaurants and residential rooms, like kids rooms and the like. Several walls I did in the hair salon were Egyptian themed and because of the sheer size of these wall pieces I needed a short cut to achieve stone like texture with the paint. I used regular Big Can Wall Paint. EGG SHELL Finish specifically. All indoor wall paint is, is Acrylic Paint! Just a thicker pigment concentration than standard Art acrylic paint. A large can of Brown paint plus a small can of Black and a another small can of White and a myriad of small tubs of art acrylics and I had everything I needed for all those Egyptian sculptures to be textured. The wall paints mix Extremely well with even Dollar Store Art acrylic paints. For large scale projects like this Post Apocalyptic City Scape, I'd be using Egg Shell acrylic wall paint for all your major stone and cement textured surfacing. Easy short cut and a little paint goes a long way making a big can supply last a long time. Keep some stor sticks handy to give the paint a stir if it's been sitting for a while, or even pop down to the paint shop and have them shake mix it again to freshen it up before use. The larger the project, the better the deal by swapping out a few materials here and there can still go a long way.
You did it again! thank you for sharing the process of this incredible master piece, I have to say that I love you guys, you inspire me to create and I dream of having half of your talent one day. A big hug!
excuse me while I fangirl for a moment: I HAVE THAT CUTTING MAT!! I got it for Christmas this year and I absolutely love it :) also, your videos are legitimately amazing, I love watching them and seeing the things you both create!
A sheet of sandpaper could also be used for a road and painted to the desired effect and you can also choose how course it is to fit in with the chosen scene E.G. sand/gravel path more course, smooth asphalt road more fine
Especially the already black sheets for asphalt. I will say that an even paint job might be hard and a wash would be really difficult to do since paper towels will still to the more coarse sand papers, but a 320 would work fine.
As much as I love your nature/fantasy diorama's, I think this one is my favorite so far. The detail and the realism is magnificent. Seriously you guys. Well done. You make me want to create.
AMAZING. These final shots were so well done too!!! You all did such fine work. Will you keep the build or does it go to the sponsor? I haven’t played games in over a decade and seeing this makes me think of the good old days when I’d sta6 up all night playing L4D 1 and 2 with friends. I might have to buy a new gaming laptop as this game looks way too fun.

Genice Milliner You absolutely can do it and you'll be amazed at how awesome it turns out!
You got this bro!
I love everything about this.
the filament light at 20:43 with wire tie-downs especially!
Incredible
I like how as she puts that clock there so we can see how long it truly takes for her create those Masterpieces
Edit: I didn't expect to get so many likes
I totally agree. Other videos make it feel like art is fast and thus simple, and then we get impatient spending time on ours. Seeing that it takes talented people with knowledge and experience a while too puts everything into perspective.
Looks EPIC!
First comment???
And the diffused LED light strips, and the trash cans and garbage bags, and the broken bridge, and the graffiti, and the ........... xD
completely agree here

My jaw hurts from hitting the table repeatedly. I am in constant awe of the breadth of talent and the depth of imagination Martina and Hansi(?) demonstrate on a regular basis. Superb craftspersonship, as always.
Wow, thank you!
So, so beautiful! The graffiti with "gravel goblin" was awesome. I love how it really looks like an abandoned city.
I literally have no words.....WOW....just wow!!!! The amount of details...from the railings to the trash bags...the foliage...the newspaper....absolutely amazing!!!!
That diorama must be one of the best one's I've seen in a long time, absolutely stunning! And the first couple of shots with the alleyway and the debris blowing through the street? fantastic!
Probably one of the most emerging pieces you have done. This was absolutely beautiful watching the process of this come to life.
Maybe Steampunk Digital with Date? With moving parts like the old cuckoo clocks?
frickin love with this channel, it brings me so much joy and peace of mind to watch someone else stress over a project but then create something diabolically incredible.
This is super cool. How can anyone not watch the whole thing
So Cool....
My favorite thing about her videos is when there is a time lapse she has a clock and I have not seen anybody else do this and it just gives a sense of how much time is put into these cool projects
Martina's face while scrutinizing the tiny tiny tiny tiny tiny bottle fully sent me XDDDD
Glad someone said something 😂
I had to come and see if someone had wrote anything about it :DD
Woww when the results are so frightening the time taken to make doesn't matter !!
Every detail is perfect, I almost seem to smell the garbage and dirt spilled on the ground.
Great work as always a lot of admiration 🖤
Pretty sure it hasn't started yet
@@scouseflay8393 I'm a NerdForge supporter
@@LAlchimista I realised that now, sorry
This turned out so AWESOME!!
I have been a Dying Light fan since it came out and this sparks sooooooo much joy! You guys are absolutely incredible keep up the awesome and amazing work!
"Send help" no, we won't. We like to see Martina and Hansi delivering the best content they can at the cost of their sanity cutting bricks and pouring epoxi
That is so amazing!! It's hard to remember sometimes just how small this stuff is when you go in for the close ups it's so good.
Omg u guys are a Legend, love the art, love the patient, love the effort... truely amazing and breath taking... i just speechless for the outcome u guys produced!! Keep up the good works
Another amazing build, the details are insane! In the final shots it really feels like your walking through a wreaked city. Great job.
Been watching you guys for ages and I always get super excited for a new video.
Your projects are just getting bigger and better everytime. Super talented couple ❤
Dude, Cinematographers should come to y'all to make a set. So much detail. Super cool.
imagine a realistic stop-motion movie with her sets. that would be absolutely stunning.
By far one of my favorite builds by you guys. Amazing work. By looking at your hands I can yell you all busted your butts trying to get this done. Very cool, I love the lights and the miniature stuff. All Amazing. Love it, and the game looks like so much fun.
In between your videos (when I'm waiting for a new video from you) I watch other youtubers, but to be honest.. I am glad I can go back to your channel and watch something so amazing. I love not only your work, but also both of you as humans. You always make my day better! Thank you 😊🥰
This is such an impressive diorama build. Apocalypse buildings are always the coolest
I am from Poland where this game was created, I am very glad that the developers want to work with you, because what you both do is awesome, I love to watch your videos!!!
Just discovered this channel and now im obsessed 😍
Congratulations guys ... I can say that it is the most difficult and time consuming you have made so far but I will also say that it is the most beautiful I have seen from your hands! I understand how difficult the whole diorama was because I also make dioramas with buildings, mainly ancient buildings. Congratulations beautiful work !!!!
Make videos man! I'd love to see them & the processes! Probably many viewers of this channel would too...
@@Jadebones Maybe in the future ... I still do not want to deal with youtube, but if you are interested find me on fb
@@antonisskarmeas6363
I love how you photographed them outdoors.
I take photos of all my dioramas in the open air and in nature because there is nothing better like sunlight.
@@antonisskarmeas6363
Thanks for letting me check them out, they're very impressive! I can tell a lot of work went into making them and all the great tiny details, plus the placement of foliage...
Just awesome!
That's insane! I'm surprised you don't work at ILM already!
The final results look amazing! Everything looks so real too
Martina I'm 60 yrs old and I love fantasy!! I couldn't agree with you more about it!! I've loved anything fantasy for as long as I can remember. I use to have an extremely extensive unicorn collection that ranged from glass, porcelain, ones made out of mirrors and so many more. I had music boxes with unicorns just everything you can imagine. So fantasy is everything!!!
Love this city!!! Tip: Scratching the acrylic surface before adding glue will help the glue to adhere more strongly to the acrylic.
The closeups really show what a good job u did
Holy cow, iam surprised how elaborate this on every time you two build a new diorama. It looks pretty awesome 😊 and sorry vor my bad Englich. greetings from germany 🙂
Thank you very much!
As an art major, I can feel the "I thought I was finished 4 days ago" in my soul.
The way the final reveal was filmed made the build feel like a full size movie set! Amazing work!
They delayed it 4 times.......and then you got only 14 days to finish this?
Come on techland.
@Sheri Kryeziu Just reminded me of American Chopper. "We are a huge company with lots of money and patience BUT we need that CUSTOM BIKE in 3 days" :p
The level of detail is amazing! Great filming too, made me feel as if watching a movie shot in a post apocalyptic city. Mindblowing stuff again!! Thank you for taking on such projects and keeping us inspired 😁
Holy Cow! You guys nailed it. This is beyond epic. BRAVO!!!
Pretty sure it hasn't started yet
@@scouseflay8393 kinda cringe that you commented this on each early reaction post...
I am bored by how talented both of you are. I’m also addicted to your TH-cam channel at this point. I can’t go into detail about how brilliant you are.
I love how Martina is so excited and positive about her own work. I aspire to have that attitude toward my own art.
Yes, it ensures we don't experience (quite so many) barriers of our own making! Don't know about you, but those hurdles are often the biggest to clamber over, I find... 🥴
You guys creeped me out! If there were any half-open doors, I'd have stopped watching out of fear of undeads coming out! Geez, what a work! You two never get tired of surprising us!
Every project you make, is always inspiring. They always look absolutely amazing when you are done!
I just discovered this young lady a couple days ago, n I just gotta say, I am absolutely blown away by her creativity n talent!!!
I'm left speechless by your smart solutions and ideas, LED-filament for the signs, using those model maker piece holders for pipes, cork matts for the asphalt, absolutely Genious!
The two of you are brilliant designers, talented artists, and charismatic presenters. I also appreciate your creative use of materials like cork for the road. Such a pleasure to watch you work!
I died at the tiny beer bottle 😂😂😂 22:49
When I watch you do this stuff, it seems so easy. But even conceptualising it is amazing work. This is fantastic!
The level of detail in this project and all of your projects is just ridiculous. You are clearly so passionate about this and it shows in all off the amazing work you do, I am truly amazed everytime I click on any of your videos, the amount of time, effort and dedication put into each tiny little detail is so so astonishing. Well-done 👏👏👏
I agree. It's no surprise they have such a huge - and dedicated - following. They're the best example imo of 'how youtube _should_ be done'. Even their ad/sponsor moments are creative and interesting.
No clickbait titles, no ridiculously long intro banging on about shitty merch and telling people to 'like and subscribe' before they've even _watched_ anything. Just consistently outstanding content, brilliantly creative minds, engaging delivery, and superb execution and payoff. YT needs more creators like them Bravo! 🥳🏆
As I keep watching more Diorama videos, I truly think I want to try it out. Definitely seems calming and fun. Your videos are the best! You keep outdoing yourself with each production.
It is a clear demonstration of the level of your craft that I recognised this was Villedor just from the thumbnail itself. I don't even get how someone so tallented could worry about not making something properly. Great job as always !
Have you ever felt like you're watching something so epic you think you might not be able to handle it??
Cause it happened to me
Actually happens everytime I watch Martina and Hansi doing a project
I have never seen a project that the two of you don't hit outta the park. Truly you are incredible! Thank you for sharing your passion and talent with us.
Incredibly detailed and in such short period of time! YOU'RE GRINDING! You guys are really titans of work, that type of speed when it comes to work is something I aspire to achieve some day haha 🌴🎭
Wow! Not only did I watch it all the way through, but I'm going to watch it again. Beautiful work!
I have seen 3 videos on this channel so far and every one provoked the same reaction: WoooooW! I'm speechless, that's beyond amazing. Good job guys
Wow! 🤩 I'm a real sucker for miniatures and this looks so amazing! I got so immersed in the video I forgot my tea! 😆 Great work as always! 😁✨
Aw thank you ❤️❤️
Oh WOW!
I got it for Christmas this year and I absolutely love it :)
also, your videos are legitimately amazing, I love watching them and seeing the things you both create!
This is AMAZING. I can’t believe how detailed this is. Thanks for taking on such an intimidating project and showing us!
Truly incredible, you two created a fricking masterpiece! The way you did the final beauty shots were *chef's kiss* 🤩
It looks fantastic! The details are just so great ! The painting job amazing! The both of you are just such an inspiration! Thank you for sharing your projects with us !
I revisit this every so often and it's still one of the coolest, most badass builds you've ever made in my opinion. Absolutely unreal. You make me want to try building dioramas myself.
My first time watching one of your videos. Wow! At minute 10:41, I thought you were done and the buildings looked pretty good. Was I ever premature! Then you added all of the external colors and blended them in. What a finish! But, you were not finished! You just continued to add more and more detail until - all the minute detail was added and the final result is just astonishing! I definitely have to look at more of your videos! Great, great result of a great, great effort!
The level of talent and hardwork is truly exceptional. The details, the cinematography at end.. everything was incredible 🔥🔥
