I think this song is like timeless it never gets old it is always needed and I remember when it came out on Sunday morning my father replaced his song and it filled the air with the presence of God it meant so much on Sunday morning in reflection of the age of 67 it takes me way back But I enjoy those great memories connected to this song and the church world at that time too were not ready for bestow of music because it was not traditional but it was on point and still on point

i remember listening to this song back in the late 60s and early 70s, radio stations would play this song regularly as if it was a pop song. This is the first gospel song I remember getting that type of mass appeal. This song was powerful back then and is still very powerful more than 50 years later.
