I've seen this a hundred times and I still get chills down my spine. I'm not religious bet there is something about this song. I've enjoyed Ray's music since I was a child. I'm seventy years old and his music never fails me. I worked in downtown LA in the 80s & 90s. I was blocks away from his studio. I must have driven by more than one hundred times to try and catch a glimpse of him. I never did. A real American Hero.
I don't know how anyone could not like this music. You don't have to be devout in any way to feel the power of this music. It's been a favorite of mine since I first heard it almost 50 years ago.
My parents are atheists, they brought us to the Montreal jubilation gospel choir every year as children for the christmas concert, it is the most beautiful music.

So wish my mom and dad could hear and see this; they were the ones who introduced me to Ray Charles' music around the time I was in kindergarten many decades ago.
