Some snort out of big blue, none of the modern stuff sounds like her. Nice and smooth on the road.

Big blue sounds like a locomotive. That log splitter is a beast, well done, functionality before looks. Cracking collection of old machinery. Keep the videos coming. Greetings from Scotland.

Great video again. The big Ford is animal, I all liked how the front weights move with the steering.

Those final seconds of footage. Those are real memories you made there. Some of my own fondest memories are of sitting atop a stack of freshly piled bales of hay we'd built, drinking Carling Black Label from glass bottles and watching the sun set low in the sky.
Great content there. Keep it coming :)

Making firewood is a side job of mine as I burn wood as well !! That old Army loader is very handy looking machine . The that splitter moves quickly I love videos like this BIG thumbs up !! I had built the splitter other way round. Cylinder pushing the pressplate and have the vedge at end. Easier handling of splitted wood and unloading into bag or conveyor. Even to have a bigger table with sides beside and after knife. Also doing a lot of firewood here in Sweden with an "improved and tuned big electric hydraulic splitter. Have a nice weekend y'all!
Edit: Very nice loader of a type with also backhoe. Almost as an nowadays Huddig or Lännen! (But a lot cheaper!!!) I have an old Huddig 760 with 9000 h and it's still a Swedish Army Knife!

@allistairc124 another cracking video buddy. Great to see big blue doing what she's made for and she sure does love a good workout. The sound of pure power and torque must resonate through the valleys when she's working 😁 you've built yourself a good log splitting setup to and nice to see some of your other toys. Those kubota's are brilliant bits of kit too. I must say its a beautiful part of the country you're in, the only thing you was missing was a BBQ with a couple of nice steaks on it 😊😊 great work as usual mate and love seeing all the toys you have and get to play with. Until next time, over and out 😎👍

Considering how much performance that loader has, you could probably install one of the splitter heads that has like six blades on it and split the whole log in one stroke.

She sings baryton beautiful with her long-stroke straight 6! Almost as good as a Scania \8/ but they don't compete in the same class! (Scanias have their own competing class!) ;D
It was a lot of "sap" running out of rock bed when tipping the rounds, Allistair! Haha!

Shes a tidy yoke alistair . Sounds great . Is that the same style of gearbox found in the older 30series tw replacement . With the cummins engine 7.5 powerstar engine . Ive no had much to do with these types its mainly older fords ive driven tws 9700 77109710 6610 7610 etc etc plus older 6600 7600 5000 4000 3000 majors dextas ive driven a couple of 40 series but didnt care much for them . Prefering the old ford built tractors . Big blue is a true classic . Plus im lovin ur muir hill trailee thats some dump cairt as we say in aberdeenshire . Once upon a time it was nearly all ford tractors up here aberdeen tractors sold thousands of fords over the years . Then u had elbar in turriff and elgin it was big ford tractor country but over the years and probbs with fords other brands took off . Lovin ur 5000 muirhill loader a farm i worked on casually had a couple for the silage pits . Mucking out shed etc . Afore being replaced with jcb loadalls . And a matbro but it burned out one harvest with straw chaff etc the a5000s that the farm had the back actors were removed but were round the back of the tractorshed the mounting slide was still on them they had extra weights on then . They were very capable machines love the wee kubota . They strong wee handy tools . Ir splitter is brilliant very handy tools indeed . Its all interesting stuff . Ud no put ur hand in the wrong place twice we ur splitter anyway lol haha .
