Oops, missed this comment. It's the same thing that happens at the bottom: the row pointers are set to zero, meaning that it actually reads from the start of the cart data, rather than the level layout. I might make a video to explain this in the future.
Looking at this some time later... What actually would you see if you make the screen go left of the leftmost point of a stage (if possible, without moving Sonic)? Or does it just crash due to camera underflow?
The crash only happens because the ring manager doesn't know where to read from. It would look the same as what I demonstrate at 2:20 - because, well, it _is_ the same exact position.
They, uh.. might have been on a VM that I've lost to time, unfortunately. I could try to remake them but honestly I cba to set up a windows VM with bizhawk again
Hmm... So this is also what actually happens in the TASes videos where they zip/wrap through the whole level with camhack on, huh ? 🤔
1:21
Hey... have i seen that one tile with the outline before... nah
How did you unlock camera?
Could you explain what's going on on the tops of the levels actually? E.g. Launch Base Zone

Angel island is more like broken island
0:41 can't this be achieved by going around while the character is dead?
No, the screen lock is still active, as it is not managed by an object. You have to use a script to remove it fully.
Is there lua script for an Android? (MD.emu)
I don't know if that emulator supports lua scripts at all, and by this time I don't even have the scripts I used to show the collision.
yo where can i get those scripts
