Brompton Touring - the tour we once failed

To stay fit for our cross-country tours, we try to ride our Bromptons as often as possible for long distances between holidays so that we don't have to get used to them again. In 2022 we have equipped our Brompton folding bikes with solid tires to have the best puncture protection. The manufacturer states that these tires need to be run in for at least 100 miles, so we got on the train to Kaiserslautern and wanted to cycle the 100km back home.
Unfortunately, it turned out that the rolling resistance was extremely high and we had to end the tour in Neustadt and take the train home with aching legs and bums.

Sarah has the Schwalbe Marathon that came with the bike. Never had a flat, never had a problem. I have the Continental Contact Urban and had one flat in 15 month with a lot of Asian roads. Not complaining about both at all ☺️

when you're in asia, will the budget airlines let you bring that as carry on? Or do you always check your brompton? Thanks.

Sorry but no idea. We don't fly budget airlines but check the bikes in anyway.
