I can’t describe how frustrating the marketing was for this movie. And apparently paramount is pulling it from theatres this month, fingers crossed that it doesn’t flop at the box office. We NEED more Transformers movies like this
I think the issue was the audiences’ first reaction to TFOne in the first trailer. A lot of the marketing was mainly advertising the origin story aspect of the film, but the first trailer just felt “alien” compared to the 2nd trailer and even the 3rd trailer. And now that the movie has released digitally, I think the worldwide box office numbers is gonna fail here. May god this movie shall not be a flop.
Also I think Diddywing was pointed to pax and d-16 by sentinel to toss them into sub level 50 because of how he said "I like a bot that can think for himself" that sounds like veiled threat
I interpreted B’s comic relief/chatterbox personality as the writers making fun of the recurring trope that’s defined the character since Bay: losing his voice. To me this is just the writers passive aggressively appeasing everyone who’s grown weary of that trope, while also poking fun at the fact that he talks too much, and that’s funny to me.
@@realswgen My brother and I joked that this movie is the real reason Megatron tore Bee's voicebox out. "Lord Megatron, did that Autobot worm defy you?" "No. I went on a quest with him once before the War, and he just wouldn't shut up." (Not canon in the slightest, but funny nonetheless)
I so feel its a bit tragic in a way, since he's been alone for who knows how long, and he finally meets actually people that he can talk to. So he talks his heart out.
Sentinel definitely got Darkwing to throw Orion and D be thrown into Sub-level 50. While he enjoyed their performance in the race and the buff on the miners productivity; doesn’t want them to try to pull a similar stunt again as it would still undermine his system and control.
1:04:09 Dude. Dion is legit my glup shitto. I am so mad Hasbro has never canonized the Dion Ultra Magnus theory. Even IDW did nothing with. Personal I'd either canonize the concept of him becoming Ultra Magnus, or since Optimus and Megatron are old friends Dion would probably know Megatron in this modern origin. So what if he sided with Megatron instead of Optimus Prime, upgraded himself and renamed himself Tankor.
@@beno2002 I'm a huge fan of the Dion-Ironhide theory myself, as Hide and Prime are beyond tight, but the Magnus theory is also incredibly compelling. He's just a character who's unfortunately been left by the wayside.
This movie was my favorite of all Transformers movies. I really liked the third act especially, I didn't even mind the faster pace. It all fit together really well for me even with this fast pace.
This is the nitpick of all nitpicks, but i found myself missing the accents on some of the tertiary bots. Really weird that modern TF media has been trying to move away from southerner ironhide and a smooth talking jazz
This movie was more than I could have ever asked for Also side note for the cyberverse being kidified it has the most named character deaths since the G1 movie
@@lumityforever Cyberverse is better than the others I mentioned, that's fair. Though death isn't the only determiner of maturity or stakes for me (I'm not George RR Martin).
@@3000bigrandy No. I would wrap up his story in tie-in comics set after Rise of Unicron as there's no room for it in movie format (part of why I prefer TV shows for TF, though the occasional movie is never an unwelcome thing)
I saw Transformers One as well… three times, and I think it’s a great movie that anyone can enjoy. It’s hard to call it the best (Not because I think it sucks) due to there being other Transformers movies (Including Predacons Rising and the 86 movie) that I also think are the best. I’d say Transformers One is right up there with Bumblebee for being a solidly crafted Transformers film. But I think the same can also be said with the 2007 movie.
Ironhide already appeared in the movie, and he had some spoken lines too. (he was the bot who tried to stop Dreadwing of sending the miner back into the mine at the end of the movie)
@@scotland8906 First, I wouldn't say "great." Surprisingly good, yes, but I reserve great for, well, the greats. And second, I didn't say anything to the contrary. Just that I'm sick of kiddie-formers, especially since they've been the norm since Prime ended. Of those I listed, Cyberverse was the best, and I'd even rank it over things like Energon, Beast Machines, and certainly most of the Bay films. But that doesn't change the fact that it's geared towards an under-10 demographic.

Chris Hemsworth actually worked alongside Peter Cullen before, making Chris’ portrayal as a young Optimus all the more likable

Great video BTW 👍
Yeah, the trailers lied big time.
Do you plan on bringing back the fallen in your future transformers rewrites?
