I watched a video from solo and they recommend that you put the large sticks in the bottom, the middle sticks on top of the large sticks, and the small twigs on top. Now put your tinder on top and light. Because of the deaign of the stove this will work great. It will burn a long time before you need to add any fuel. Nice video.
You can tell this isn't the first time you've used the stove or pot. I can learn something from a guy like you . . . and I did! You handled that flint and steel like you could do it in your sleep. Thanks for the inspiration.
I have been camping my whole life. We used Coleman stoves or a campfire for cooking. I'm not familiar with this kind of stove. I have been slowly replacing my camping gear to updated and less garbage. I have seen A LOT of this "type" of stove on Amazon that are apx $20 for a Canway stove to $130 for a Titan stove. What is this difference between the two stoves? I have watched videos and they both seem to work the same way...I feel like I'm messing something OR they are apx the same EXCEPT for the price? I appreciate any info/advice. Thank you for your time. Susan
How deep is the Titan if you want to stack wood vertically? From the top of the nichrome grate to bottom of the lip before adding potstand ring? For top down burn what length twigs??
Lol ...so it was fir tea or pine needle tea? 😝 sorry i had to because you said you teach this stuff. Great review though, i bought one after watching all these awesome reviews, should be delivered tomorrow! Thanks for the tips, i can't wait!!
You gone through hard time trying to start a fire... should've used either paper towel or clothes to start the fire.. and then throw in the twigs. I found out that clothes is really good conductor for fire.. I have the same one as yours. It doesn't do all that great job as a heater in the cold.. heat doesn't spread sideways as much as I would like it to be....
@@DannyKapatrik This Titan was impressive I was able to put huge chuck of wood (2+ inches thick 10+ inches long) from the tree branches and burnt well and kept me warm in the cold winter when I was homeless last year. I had to stand right over the stove as the heat came straight up... but was enough to kept me warm. I would like a bonfire but those things are hugely expensive (overpriced). Now that I will be getting a tiny house and have a gasoline powered generator I can heat my home for the coming winter
I have the Solo Lite. It is great but I want a bigger one for winter. Does the Titan provide much heat? I have my eye on the Campfire! Unless someone taks me into the Titan I will get the Campfire!
@@oklahomacitybassfishing405 The Campfire is all I have used and the Solo Lite. I have both. The campfire is the size of a paint can. The solo lite fits n a canteen cup space(very handy and packable). When Solo has the witer Sale I will probably get two Ttans they have BOGO. After that I can do a tota better comparison. Here is a link to my frst use of the campfire. Good luck deciding. th-cam.com/video/T27hFYfu3Jw/w-d-xo.html

It’s a cooking stove, not a bonfire pit lol

What did you end up going with ? Cant decide between the titan or campfire myself. Campfire might be a big to big for one person though.

Good review but you'd be better to show your face in the video during a monologue.
