WOw, great find ! I tried to buy one from the widow and son of a man that died. But they didn't want to sell it. Sentimental reasons, which I fully understood. It, and a couple at bike shows are only ones I've ever seen.
My Father told me that the Illinois State Police used to use Indian 4's and he used to love the sound they made. High praise indeed 'cause he hated motorcycles.
Love to see a bike, but it's the sound you're waiting for. Nothing like Purring down the open highway on a nice day. Takes me back to my younger days. Thanks for sharing, nothing like drumming up old memories on a Wednesday. Safe travel's. ✌❤ KEH 🇨🇦
Indian should bring back a special edition of the Indian four with todays technology. Make it look old school but with todays technology, i would certainly buy one Just a limited special edition of one of the Chief models as an Indian four
I felt they missed the boat by introducing a v twin. Everyone makes a V Twin....Harley owns that market. But a modern day inline four, made to look retro, would be cool
@@k.w.churchill4397 Indian was the first to mass produce a V-twin. It's a must in their line up. But adding an inline four to the range would be awesome.
Try looking at a Dutch brand called Nimbus. They also made inline 4 cylinder motorcycles, from 1919-1960 - might be a bit a cheaper or accessible than an Indian 4, they were used by the military so they were very rugged and utilitarian with a lot of modifications over the years.

Now that's a PROPER motorbike. And a nice colour, too.
Ride safe. Enjoy!
Most fascinating bike ever made. A shame they ever quit making them. The good news is since 2000, the Indian 4 is in production again at Indian-UK.
Sounds like a small Allison inline aircraft engine. Awesome
amazing...those old school motorcycles were the best!
wonderful remembrances of my own Scout 36, I overhauled her completely in the seventies and
sold her. ....Hope to meet her again someday!
Here is hoping.
Now you've put it out there, it has opened the door.🤞
