- This is Randy "Detroit" Hayward and his incredible 1929 Indian 4. Randy converted this motorcycle to run on ELECTRIC power, hence the name, THE ENDIAN. With help from some friends and some secret wizardry, they created the coolest EV on the planet.

You know Indian is owned by Polaris, who bought the electric motorcycle company Brammo and then closed it.
That was amazing! I too am getting a motorcycle and Indian is my choice for a bike! Happy to watch this, this inspired me even more!

Remember the days dealerships had bikes in stock that you could go and buy... Man I remember those days... I'd love an indian scout bobber but it's unfortunate you have to wait 4 months to actually get your hands on one.

I'm happy and sad about this bike, on one hand love the 4cyl and what it sounds like going down the road but on the other it's 21st century and probably a lot less wrenching. Personally I would miss the sound of those cylinders burning 🔥 gasoline . You picked a cool style of scooter. Congrats!

Wow this guy is as we say in French "un homme selon mon cœur" (a man according to my heart). He likes tu use the tools that were used by the hands of his dad and grandpa! I know how it feels👍!
His Endian is so beautiful! Just wondering what does he put in the gas-tank? The old Indian engine is still there (but not the kick-starter😅as useful as the tank and the 4-cylinder engine😂) for the (great!) original look🤩.

That is T-Bones chassis. I miss T-Bone so much. He was one of my biggest supporters. He always encouraged me to go after whatever I was dreaming!! Man, I sure miss him
Electric starter or a 12 volt system mods I could've accepted, but this mobility scooter hack is sacrilige. If you want to drive a mobility scooter, then drive one. Put some mirrors on, a sticker here and there, nice paint/wrap, shiny wheels or whatever, but if you want to ride a classic, then you'll need the knowledge and skills to be able to. That's how you truly respect your roots, the history. By learning the skills they had. Not by hoarding their stuff or dressing up like a cartoon character
Build an Indian 4, something other than v twins. Stop following Harley Davidson and build your own modern legacy
